Alura In-Ze, Superwoman; Mother of Supergirl aka Kara Zor-El aka Kara Danvers. Having survived the destruction of Krypton in Argo City with her husband Zor-El, she helped lead a new high council that was eventually overturned in a civil war that lead to the destruction of the city. Alura was forced in to the phantom zone where she placed herself in stasis until her daughter found her and brought her back to Earth.

1946 Alura and her twin sister Astra In-Ze are born in Argo City, Krypton.
1963 Alura is accepted in to the Sciences Academy.
1964 Alura meets Zor-El and they share in a mutual love of science.
1966 Alura graduates with honours.
1967 Alura and Zor-El form a union.
1969 Alura gives birth to Kara Zor-El, her daughter.
1972 At the request of the High Council of Krypton, Alura devises a bridge between the physical realm and the phantom zone. Named after her mentor, the Roz-Bridge made it possible for consciousness to form and exist in the phantom zone. Fort Roz was built around this device.
1977 Jax-Ur is found guilty of malicious science resulting in the destruction of the colony on Wegthor when his new space engine exploded. No space engine was required and he was denied a license to built it in the first place. Jax-Ur is sent to the phantom zone as punishment for his crimes, becoming the first prisoner. Fort Roz is converted in to a prison.
1982 Krypton is ravaged with extreme weather and seismic events.
1983 Alura and Zor-El join forces with Dru-Zod and Jor-El to prove that Krypton is under attack.
1984 Jor-El seeks a way to preserve the Kryptonian blood lines expecting the worst for Krypton. Zor-El begins building a new shielding system to protect Argo City. Dru-Zod declares martial law and dissolves the High Council. Alura joins the civil defence resistance against Zod's occupation.
1985 Dru-Zod is captured by Alura and forces and sentenced to the phantom zone, but catastrophic tidal forces disrupt Krypton before he can be sent there. In desperation, Zor-El sends their daughter to Earth after Jor-El sends his son there. Alura disagrees with Zor-El but there is nothing she can do about it. Krypton is destroyed.
1986 Argo City teeters on the edge of annihilation, saved by Zor-El's shielding system, a civil war raged on amongst the survivors.
1987 Argo City comes under the rule of a new High Council which includes both Zor-El and Alura In-Ze as its founding members. Argo City sets off on a slow journey amongst the stars to a new star to call home.
1994 Resources are running low on Argo City and the calculations indicate it will be possible to make it to their destination, if sacrifices are made. A new civil war erupts as people choose not to believe the science.
1995 Alura is captured by the rebels and sentenced to the phantom zone for their perceived criminal charges. Without proper calibration, Alura is sent to the Phantom Zone without a quantum marker to allow her retrieval later.
1997 After three bloody years of civil war Argo City succumbs to their baser nature and the last city of Krypton finally falls. The city will float on, a memorial to their mistakes, until it is found decades later by Kara Zor-El and her extended family. Zor-El and the fate of all those Kryptonians in Argo City is death.

1999 Alura's translation to the Phantom Zone, broken as it was, snaps her back to consciousness. Here she finds herself on the other end of the Roz-Bridge, broken since the destruction of Krypton. She sets about attempting to repair it.
2000 Alura's efforts to reconnect the Roz-Bridge are deemed impossible, as Fort Roz is in uncontrolled motion across space and from the Phantom Zone it is proving too difficult to track its trajectory.
2001 The prisoners of the Phantom Zone come to realise the creator of their prison is here with them and they storm the Roz-Bridge. Alura is forced to flee to the bad lands.
2002 Alura discovers a research settlement built by Jax-Ur. He has constructed his own Roz-Bridge and used it to escape the Phantom Zone. This has created curious fractures across the entirety of the Phantom Zone that resemble glass doorways back to the real world. Alura determines that only by pure luck would one of these doorways open and the risk is too great. Jax-Ur took that risk anyway.
2002 Realising there was a way to find a safe doorway back to reality, Alura created a computer program to search for the right circumstances to leave the Phantom Zone. To protect herself from the corrupting effects of the bad lands while she waited she repurposes Jax-Ur's research settlement in to a sunstone powered stasis chamber.
2022 Alura awakens to find the Roz-Bridge circumstances at their optimum and shatters the doorway, allowing her to step through back in to reality on a strange world on the cusp of destroying itself called Earth where she finds not one but three versions of her daughter as well as nephews and cousins. She learns the fate of chosen mate Jor-El and mourns but realises her extended family and this planet need her and she needs them.

Personality

Realist:
Being on the high council of Argo City, a city that was travelling through the darkness of space with limited energy and many scared Kryptonians, made her understand that you cannot lead a people by pulling on the reins. They have to be willing to follow you and if you fail to inspire them then there is nothing you can do but step out of the way. Her dreams of a rational society following the logic of science were dashed when they turned against her (and the rest of the high council) and forced her in to the phantom zone in a civil war. This ultimately lead to their own destruction wasting what little resources they had left. She learnt the harsh truth that she lacks the charisma to inspire trust in science alone; and the same is likely true of Earth and humanity.

Brash:
Alura has never not spoken her mind on an issue she cares about. She walks with confidence and knows what she knows.. knows what she doesn't know. She's not afraid to ask questions but when she sees the way ahead she will not falter or second guess herself. This has rubbed some of her colleagues the wrong way in the past but under the banner of the House of El she learnt not to settle for societal expectations and norms just because that's the way things have always been done.

Calculating:
As much as she is in touch with her emotions, Alura knows when and how to push them aside. Science, sometimes, requires sacrifice. She will not ask someone else to sacrifice for her though, not without their consent. That's the line that must be drawn between mad science and real science. Alura has learned to do what must be done no matter the consequences.

Family:
Kara Zor-El is and was Ãlura's life. Even science came second to her family. When the world literally ended the only thing she wanted more than to have Kara and Zor-El with her was to keep both of the same. Kara was sent away and it broke her heart but in the end it was the right decision. Alura loves her daughter and mourns her husband.

Hidden Agenda:
Alura keeps her goals tight to the vest. She loathes the phantom zone having been stuck there herself. She loathes the depths to which former allies have sunk in their pursuit to save Kryptonian civilisation. She loathes that her extended family must hide their true identities to have a normal life on Earth. And most of all, she loathes that Kandor is trapped in a bottle. She has her goals and day by day she works toward achieving them, but that does not mean she's going to share them with just anybody.

Kryptonians:
It's not that she dislikes Humans; Alura just recognises that they have a long long way to go before she can trust their judgement or motivations. They war and steal and until recently Alura thought that kind of cruelty was impossible on Krypton. But Krypton came to an end and Argo City failed in blood and violence. She has had to reconsider just how evolved Kryptonians really are at the end of the day. Still, her efforts favour Kryptonian goals over Human goals; but most of the time they can be aligned.

Righteous:
Alura has always taken the side of the law and in the end that cost her a friendship with Dru-Zod when the world began to end. She hopes that by showing that success can be found by doing the right thing that she can lure people like Dru-Zod back to her side. Alura intends to lead by example, always, which often means taking the high ground no matter the cost to herself personally.

Flight:
Alura defies the laws of gravity as Humanity knows them and can take to the skies in flight. She can hover or speed off at high speed, combined with her Super Speed.

Heat Vision:
Alura's Kryptonian nature, under the yellow sun, allows her to transfer her stored energy directly in to intense heat from her eyes. She can vary the degree of heat and area of affect and focus it through sight.

Invulnerability:
Alura's dense molecular structure makes her impervious to most extreme energy forces. As well, her advanced biology means most poisons and toxins are harmless to her body thanks to Kryptonian bio-engineering.

Longevity:
While under the influence of the yellow sun Alura's ageing effectively comes to a halt. Her body meets peak Kryptonian physiology where her cells repair fast than any can age.

Solar Energy:
Like other Kryptonians under a yellow sun, Alura absorbs the radiation in to her cells and becomes super-powered. Her body is like a battery in that it will happily absorb the suns rays until she is full and the use of her other powers expend that stored energy. Also like most Kryptonians there is a limit to the absorption rate and expenditure rate. Where Kara Zor-El, her daughter; and Kal-El, her nephew; are the peak in this regard, Alura is simply average for a Kryptonian.

Super Breath:
Alura can draw in and exhale large amounts of air and can drop the temperature of that expelled air to extremely low levels at will.

Super Hearing:
As a Kryptonian under a yellow sun, Alura can hear far and wide and in spectrum that is extremely broad. She can filter out the ambient noises and focus in on a sound and know where it is coming from.

Super Speed:
Gravity isn't the only force that flails against a Kryptonian. Alura is extremely fast by sheer force of will alone. This isn't just physical translation but also agility and reflexes.

Super Stamina:
While-ever her cells are enriched with the energy of the yellow sun Alura can just keep on going and going and does not tire.

Super Strength:
Augmented by the yellow sun named Sol, Alura can perform what seem to be incredible feats of strength but are conscious manipulations of energy fields and mass much in the same way that she can fly.

Super Vision:
As with Super Hearing, Alura also has Super Vision which allows her to filter and see a broad spectrum of electro-magnetic energy levels, not just the visible spectrum of humans. She can focus in on the microscopic or focus far away on the telescopic. She can peel away the layers to peer through objects; though she cannot penetrate dense materials such a lead.

Kryptonian Science:
Graduated top of her class from the Sciences Academy on Krypton, Alura In-Ze strived to understand all the hard sciences. Kryptonian understanding of physics, matter, energy, dimensions, etc is far beyond that of Earth.

Alura gained fame when she discovered a way to make a stable bridge to the fabled Aethyr - the Phantom Zone. It was her intention to lead an exploration team but the risks were great and the high council decided that the environment was too harsh for civilised Kryptonians. Instead, they used her bridge to make an inescapable prison.

With sunstone and the technology in the Fortress of Solitude there is little Alura cannot create when she puts her mind to it. And recently, she has come to realise there is a lost chapter in Kryptonian science - Brainiac.

Family:
Alura's surviving extended family have found a life on Earth already. Kara Zor-El, her daughter, is Supergirl. Her nephew Kal-El is Superman, and he has a family who have travelled through time. These are the roots that bind a person to a place.

Fortress of Solitude:
An out-dated Kryptonian colonisation base scavanged and sent to escort Kal-El has turned in to a sophisticated stronghold of Kryptonian technology and culture.. and a home for the House of El. While it is not Alura's, she hopes to borrow its facilities from time to time.

Sanctuary of Solitude:
Much like the Fortress of Solitude, Alura and Zor-El sent with Kara a base to operate from. It was lost, however, deep under the ocean and forgotten about. Alura did not forget about it though and she has found it and is working to restore it so that she can use it as a home and a base of operations.

Weaknesses

Astra In-Ze:
Alura's sister rose through the ranks of the Military Guild and attained the station of General. The family was proud of her but Alura knew better. Her sister liked the power, liked it more than reason itself. She could be ruthless in her pursuits and refused to listen to voices she didn't consider an authority. When she married Non, a known criminal, and betrayed her station as General, she was arrested and sentenced to reconditioning in orbit. Alura has not seen her sister since and expects now she never will. But despite Astra's penchant for choosing the wrong path - she is family and Alura knows she has to try and help her even if it's futile.

Dru-Zod:
There was a time when Alura thought Dru-Zod was a capable man. One who could help keep things together in their troubled times. But when push came to shove, Dru-Zod thought he was the only man who could save Krypton and that it was his duty, by force if necessary, to do so. Once an almost-friend, turned tragic enemy. Alura both worked with and against him in her time on Krypton. Where they stand now, she is not sure. But she knew the man he was and hopes that he can be that man again one day.

Kryptonite:
Sunstone and Kryptonians go hand in hand. They evolved together and it became as much a part of them as they a part of it. Kryptonite is the result of sunstone, programmable matter, gone horribly wrong. When Krypton was destroyed the intense radiation caused active sunstone to create Kryptonite. The poison is unique to Kryptonians who are in tune with sunstone technology and Alura is no different.

Magic:
While flying and impossible speed and strength might seem magical, they are all understandable to the Kryptonian scientific mind. What does defy the laws of the universe, however, is magic. Magic can whip the carpet out from under your feet with the snap of a mage's fingers and there isn't a thing a Kryptonian can do about it if they're unprepared. Magical weapons, magical spells, magical environmental affects - they are all as effective against a Kryptonian as they are a regular Human.

Non:
From the moment Alura laid eyes on her sisters boyfriend (and later husband) she despised the man. Non, a compulsive criminal with violent tendencies and a disregard for the law. Why he hadn't been put away at a younger age she's not quite sure. But he was put away, eventually, and put away in to the phantom zone at that. Her sister Astra blamed Alura of course - as if had any control over the judicial system of Krypton.

The Phantom Zone:
While Alura never sentenced anyone herself it is well known that she was the one who invented the horrible punishment of exile to the Phantom Zone. Once she herself was exiled there she realised what a mistake it had been to let the High Council turn her bridge to the phantom zone in to a prison. That place of decay and death shouldn't be forced on anyone. The criminals who had been sent there felt she was responsible and seeing her there became even more incensed to take out their pain on her. Now that she has been there herself and witnessed its horror she believes every criminal in the Phantom Zone should be released. It is a cruel and unusual punishment.

High Speed Pursuit	February 9th, 2023	Heroes respond to a shoot out that ranges through the streets of Brooklyn and up onto Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge. The fight is stopped, but Vulture swoops down and makes off with the unknown contents that the fight was over.
A Necessary Meeting	February 7th, 2023	Divine meets Alura. Talk of family and hope and what it all means for the future.
Family from another Reality	February 6th, 2023	Alura puts her foot in it trying to make a connection with alt reality Kara, Power Girl. Alura never was the one who was good with feelings.
Welcome to the Fortress	January 6th, 2023	Kal shows Alura around the Fortress of Solitude. Kandor is explained and the search for the Sanctuary and a way to unbottle the city begins.
In Memoriam Zor-El	January 6th, 2023	An emotional moment for the Kryptonians as they say goodbye to Zor-El, who passed away in Argo city many years before but never had surviving family give him the rite of passage. The Amazons lend a beach on Themyscira and provide a touch of local ceremony to the occassion.
Jenga from Space	January 3rd, 2023	A piece of junk from space crashes in to a skyscraper in Metropolis. It's carrying a deadly plague of inky space monsters that eat everything and replicate when attacked or when they've eaten too much. A team of Titans, Avenger, and a mysterious new Kryptonian save the day. The world will never know how close it came to being nommed in to oblivion.
Slumlord Open Forum	December 29th, 2022	Alura gets to meet Conner properly while also righting a low rent housing wrong.
Super Training Montage	December 28th, 2022	Alura over the weeks goes through metamorphosis, adapting to a new world and new super powers, with the help of the Amazons, and with the help of Donna.
Supers in the Sky	December 27th, 2022	Kara, Alura, and Monet talk about things which lay under the sea and adapting to life on Earth.
Kryptonian Arts and Crafts	December 16th, 2022	Alura meets Monet and they discuss deep deep topics.. which was a prelude to Monet telling Alura she is dating her daughter. Only one pottery wheel got broken.
What fate, Argo City	December 14th, 2022	Donna helps Alura with learning the local languages, but they delve deeply in to Alura's trauma - not quite resolving it but presenting her with new thoughts and options she never considered; but also she is made aware that Argo City is gone and quite likely so too is her husband Zor-El.
United Under Sol	December 14th, 2022	Kal and Alura chat in Themyscira about what it means to be Kryptonian on Earth. Kal imparts a great deal of hard earned wisdom.
bezhgam vo Themyscira!	December 9th, 2022	Alura is welcomed to Themyscira by Donna, Diana, Hippolyta and Monet. She seems more concerned with the revelations about showers and horses than those about superpowers.
Kryptonian Reunion	December 8th, 2022	Kara and Alura are reunited after years of being apart on the kind gentle beaches of Themyscira.
