Jinx is a Sorceress in the making. She's learning how to control her powers better every day. She's also an exceptional thief and you best bet she's putting those talents to good use. This is a new chapter in her life, turning over a new life. No longer is she running with the villains crowd but don't think that means she's going to run with the heroes all of a sudden.

Timeline:
* 1996: Orphaned, father unknown and mother unidentified at child birth. Jinx was raised by Britain
* 2010: The unluckiest teenager. Jinx got a nickname which stuck as she never believed in her false name of Jane Doe. Bad luck followed her wherever she went.
* 2011: H.I.V.E. scouted for disabused teenagers with gifts and they found Jinx. They 'adopted' her but really it was recruitment. She was taken to a private island where she began to train with four others. They were known as The Five.
* 2012: H.I.V.E. hires a specialist in the occult and they discover Jinx can, with willpower, push her bad luck on to other people and other objects. She begins to excel at her studies which primarily involved combat, espionage, and primarily theft.
* 2014: The Five graduate and begin traveling the world enacting specific theft operations to gain leverage, blackmail, or wealth for H.I.V.E.
* 2016: Jinx encounters a magic user who tells her all of them have a core gift, she learns that she must find what centers her and from there she can build her skills in to proper sorcery.
* 2018: Jinx accidentally discovers her bad luck ends when her bare feet touch the bare earth. There's a connection there she doesn't fully understand.
* 2020: Jinx, reconciling that the only way she can live a good life is to make other peoples worse, decides to pursue a life of super villainy.
* 2020: The Five take on the Titans because Doctor Light wishes it so. Jinx finds herself at odds against a whole team of heroes and while she comes out on top, the entire encounter made her uneasy.
* 2021: Jinx isn't so sure this super villainy thing is a good idea. She breaks away from the Five and uses her skills to fund the life she has become accustomed to. But she made enemies on both sides of the track and she's aware they may hold long grudges.

Personality

Confident:
When it comes to the things Jinx actually knows; such as her skills of the trade she learnt from H.I.V.E., Jinx is more than ready to employ those skills and as such does carry herself with calm and confidence. She doesn't mind showing off a little too every now and then to get the job done.

Haunted:
Whole Jinx puts on an aire of confidence; deep down she was haunted for years by her bad luck. It left a scar on her and while she understands her magic better now she knows all too well it is a sword hanging over her head. If she doesn't stay on top of it one day it might kill her. Or worse. There's always a worse.

Mischief:
When you're trained to steal and you have magic on your side it's hard not to get a taste for stealing beautiful shiny things. It's hard to say no when they're just sitting there for the taking. You can even morally justify it if the current owner is a corrupt rich guy and the original owners of the thing are offering an award. I mean, no one says you have to return it right away after all. Jinx can't just leave interesting things well enough alone - she has to poke and prod to see how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Self Preservation:
Live to fight another day. She sees no reason to put herself in harms way if there's nothing to be gained from it. Sometimes the greater reward is walking away and keeping your freedom. She rarely holds a grudge or ill will towards others if she could have avoided the confrontation entirely.

Selfish:
You have to be more than a bit selfish (and optimistic) to walk in to an art gallery and steal a priceless painting to hang up in your own living room. Life gave her lemons. No mother, no father, and constant bad luck.. so she takes back what she can and tries her best to enjoy the times when things aren't so bad. At the expense of others? yes, but what has the world ever freely given her.

Gaia:
Jinx is a Champion of Gaia; one bestowed gifts by the goddess so that they may bring peace to the world. Jinx unknowingly fought against this purpose and unbalanced her luck. Now that she understands her purpose she has begun practicing balance in her life.

Jinxed:
Before Jinx understood the nature of her magic she had learnt she could pass on bad luck to other people or objects. Now she understands there is a balance in the kismet, she can still pass on both good or bad luck but at the cost of unbalancing her own magic.

Sorcery:
Jinx has begun to walk the path toward mastery with her magic. She understands how it works and what she will be capable of doing one day. There are parts of sorcery she is very proficient with, such as elemental magic; and while other areas she knows of or in theory how they are done she has had little or no actual experience doing it. Jinx's magic only works properly when she is balanced internally in both luck and unluck. Her power comes from the Earth; she must walk it bare foot. This allows her to charge up and use her magic until it is drained and then she needs to recharge it once more. Artificial constructs significantly reduce her ability to recharge; such as composite materials and plastics.

Acrobatics:
As part of her H.I.V.E. training, Jinx was taught acrobatics, parkour, ascending and descending on lines. All the usual tricks needed to pull off the kinds of deadly missions H.I.V.E. needed their operatives to do.

Espionage:
Sometimes the H.I.V.E. meant breaking in to a place to destroy something. The breaking in part was similar to thievery, but deleting files off of computers - destroying servers - burning down laboratories. Jinx didn't care much for it but it was part of the job.

Martial Arts:
While Jinx was never entirely focused on being the best fighter in the room, she was adequate with her combat skills. Because she had an unfair advantage with magic she never got too in to using weapons but she trained against them a lot.

Spying:
H.I.V.E. needed to blackmail people to gain leverage. Sometimes that meant putting the screws to people or gaining their trust. Sometimes it meant going undercover or undercovers. Sometimes it meant sitting in a truck with surveillance equipment trying to get the perfect piece of evidence to ruin someones life.

Thief:
Jinx is a world class cat burglar, trained by H.I.V.E. as part of an elite team called The Five. She does not entirely rely on traditional thievery skills but often uses jinxes electrical equipment and guards so that she has a small window of luck to utilise. This often has the negative side effect of unluck coming her way too such as the police randomly stopping by (or worse - a hero) unannounced.

Contacts:
Jinx has a lot of contacts in the underground. Usually fences, people who have odd jobs need doing, people with information that can help her get a job done. She also has a few occult contacts but she hasn't leaned on them too hard - they demand too much in return.

Ill Gotten Gains:
Jinx is a thief, trained to be one of the best. She used to work with the Five as part of H.I.V.E. but once she broke away from them, thievery became her primary way to sustain her life style. She doesn't always try to steal the flashiest of things; and sometimes she does it altruistically (stealing back something stolen for the reward model) but her particular set of skills do fund her well.

Disconnected:
Jinx's magical batteries, metaphysical they may be, are like a new muscle that must be worked and stretched to hold more and more power. She has only just learnt how to enhance this and so she often needs to recharge her powers by touching her feet to the ground. When she is disconnected from this ability she can run out of magical power and cannot do magic.

Guilty Conscience:
Part of Jinx's former job with H.I.V.E. sometimes involved killing. She knew it was wrong in her heart but at the same time it was always an 'us' vs 'them' - now that she's no longer 'us' and suddenly 'them' she's been learning the hard way that killing has consequences. The consequences are usually friends and relatives looking to settle the score. Sometimes killing is necessary but the kind of killing they did in H.I.V.E. was never that.

Hive:
H.I.V.E. don't really accept resignation letters. Not that Jinx gave them one. As far as they're concerned she's now a rogue operative who knows too much and that means she needs to be ded.

The Five:
Her former team, presumably now the Four? or may be they hired someone else on to fill her spot. They're cut throat killers and while she used to be one of them that does not mean they won't eat one of their own to save their own skins. These former colleagues are not to be believed, not to be trusted, and ideally not to ever come face to face with again.

Unlucky:
Jinx has spent most of her life cursed by her own self loathing. She became unlucky, unbalanced in the kismet. She has recently learnt how to rebalance herself so that she is neither lucky nor unlucky - but you cannot shake off a life time of psychological issues that easily. She can become unbalanced quite easily (or even deliberately) and when that happens not only is her magic greatly weakened but she herself becomes susceptible to the kinds of bad luck you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy.

Patron of the Arts	January 14th, 2023	Jinx wants to scope out Donna's photography exhibit so she can steal the goods later. She takes Harley because why not combine two good things in one. It goes badly for Jinx, however, as she realises she's walked in to a den of Titans and Wonder Woman. Eventually one of the Titan's who knows her face walks in and the shirt hits the fan. Captured, Jinx gives the best reason she can why she shouldn't be sent back to jail... HIVE.
Bibba at the Mutant Bar	January 11th, 2023	Jinx and Harley go to the mutant bar in mutant town, perhaps thinking each other is a mutant only to learn that's not the case. But then a frankendjinn named Bibba attacks out of no where, trying to end Jinx; who accidentally inverts Bibba in an attempt to do her first teleportation.
The Chugach Mask	January 9th, 2023	Even when turning over a new leaf Jinx runs in to more trouble than she bargains for. Jinx meets Spider-man and shows him what's what. But he's not easy to shake and he catches up with her, choosing to let her walk this time.
One Swing Ahead of the Sword	December 22nd, 2022	Jinx breaks in to the Hellfire club, meets the Black King, and ends up with a free lifetime subscription.
While my Qatar gently weeps	December 15th, 2022	Jinx and Harley go to Qatar to mess up the world cup for Talia Al Ghul.. well, for Talia's money anyway. But before they even get on the plane, Jinx's bad luck draws in the Music Meister who intends to have a bit of fun with them.
Interview with a Harley Quinn	December 6th, 2022	Harley goes to Hollywood and ropes Jinx in on bein' a tv star
Big Cargo Daddy's Roadhouse, Route 66	November 28th, 2022	Harley and Jinx make it to a roadhouse on Route 66 but it seems they were followed. What should have been a werewolf turned out to be something much much worse.
Hollywood or Bust	November 20th, 2022	Jinx hitches a ride with none other than Harley Quinn who is headed to Hollywood. Something something nest of werewolves.
