Profile
Kora Ikassis is an Amazon, fathered by the Sea God, Glaucus and an Amazonian mother. Born on an isolated island, she was trained by her mother to be a superb fighter with sword and javelin and in close combat. Like other Amazonians she received the Blessings of the Gods (high endurance, super strength, immortality and enhanced healing). From her father she inherited unusual vocal powers.
Timeline
Timeline:
*1999: On a fishing expedition outside the protective barrier around Themyscira, a small fleet of trireme is hit by a storm, and a great wave sweeps Kora's mother, Myrene, overboard. Glaucus, a sea god once mortal and granted divine powers by the sea-gods rescues her. Love ensues. He takes her to an isolated island, where he provides her servants and a safe place to bear their child.
*2000:Myrene bears a daughter who she will raise in the ways of an Amazon warrior, teaching her the Amazon's code of conduct and training her in combat skills with sword, javelin and bow and arrow.
*2000-late 2019:The powers inherited from her father manifest slowly during adolescence. Kora, who already possessed a lovely singing voice and perfect pitch as a child, learns to channel her voice and direct its power. Her training in the art of fighting and the Amazon's mission to mankind continues with her mother. Until the day Myrene takes her daughter aside and tells her the time has come for her to accompany Kora to the sacred island to be confirmed as an Amazon.
2020-2022: Queen Hippolyte graciously welcomes Myrene back to the island and agrees to take Kora in to finish her training. Two years follow in which Kora learns what the sisterhood of the Amazons is like in reality, training with them, rounding out her education. She receives the Bracelets of Submission in 2022.
Her powers have strengthened over time and Hippolyta after conferring with her mother decides to send her to New York to train further under Diana in how to wield her gifts for the greater good.

Personality
Enthusiastic:
Kora has the bounce and enthusiasm of the young, loves to laugh and relishes discovering new experiences.
Innocence:
She takes people at face value. And without shared cultural cues often misses the point of memes, jokes and wise-cracks. Like most Amazons, she has read the manuals but men are still theoretical for her.
Kind:
She is as considerate as she can be, taking care not to harm people or hurt feelings. Spitefulness and malice mystify her, having never encountered it among the Amazons or on the island where she was raised.
Need To Right Injustice:
Kora's first sight of a panhandler was mystifying to her. The panhandler's answers to her questions, sent her rushing back to the Embassy to ask why nothing was being done to help the poor people on the street.
Now, she often uses up her allowance on panhandlers, preferring to go without lunch if she runs out of money and looks forward to the day that she can use her powers to help others. The Amazon code of honors is engraved deeply in her psyche. It has given her a sense of justice and a willingness to fight for others rights without thinking of her own needs.
Reserved:
Despite her enthusiasm for her new setting, Kora is reserved on first meeting people and does not rush into friendships, considering them too important for casual closeness.

Blessings of the Gods:
The inheritance shared by Amazons.
*Superhuman Strength - Kora can lift several tons but doesn't have strength approaching Diana's or Donna's.
*Superhuman Speed - Not even close to Flash fast but if they put her into the Olympics she would be accused of doping.
*Super Durability - She can take a punch, resisting several tons of force but still can be affected by sufficient blunt force trauma. A concussive grenade would make her dizzy, but a frag would leave holes in her.
*Stamina -Like other Amazonians she has tremendous reservoirs of energy.
*Immortality - If the injuries are grave enough, she can die.
*Enhanced Healing - She is not impervious to injury but recovers from shocks and heals from wounds in a relatively short time.
Breathing Under Water:
Child of a sea god, she was lucky enough to inherit the ability to swim long distances under water (without the attendant tail or fins).
Perfect Pitch:
Kora has the voice of a siren, a pure singing voice that she can use with operatic depth or to imitate most modern women singers. She is also an excellent mimic.
Voice of a Sea God:
Kora inherited her fathers voice. She can use it like a whip, the crack of sound capable of damaging eardrums. Her inherited powers enable her to lull people to sleep and even calm crowds. Her highest notes can cause dizziness. Take her into the mountains and she can produce avalanches with a well modulated song and with an effort make rockslides. Shattering glass is her latest twist on the ability.
Skills
Archery:
Every Amazon worth her salt can shoot from horseback and can hit their mark from a long distance. The typical Amazon bow having longer ranges than most.
Combat:
Following the precepts of an Amazon's education, Kora spent her childhood and adolescence training in hand-to hand combat. She possesses superior close combat and martial arts skills.
Combat Weapons:
Like her sister Amazons, Kora has wielded a sword and javelin since she was strong enough to hold them and is a formidable opponent with them both.
Horseback Riding:
Riding since she was too small to reach the stirrups, Kora is completely at home on a horse and is trained to fight on horseback.
Resources
Bracelets of Submission:
Part of the Amazon warrior panoply, they are incredibly durable and an aid to lowering Amazon vulnerability to sharp objects and bullets.
Conch Shell:
A last gift from her father, Glaucus, on the day she left for Themyscira. It is capable of calming or summoning waves. When blown at full volume, it awakens a primal terror that primitive humans had for things that came from the deep.
The Amazons:
Kora can depend on other Amazons to have her back, both in battle and day-to-day life
Weaknesses
Black and White:
Age is a factor in her vision of the world, she does not have the wisdom that her older sisters have gained in their long lives and sees the world in black and white.
Hearing Impaired People:
How did Odysseus sail past the Sirens? By stopping his ears up with wax and tying himself to a mast to not succumb to their voices. Whether naturally or artificially, anyone who can not hear her voice is immune to her powers.
Sharp Objects:
She is vulnerable to sharp objects. Include swords, daggers, javelins, bullets and arrows in the list. A trait shared with her Amazon sisters. Take a sword and stab her. See the blood?
Voice Loss:
No matter the cause: from a bad cold to blunt force trauma to her trachea, without her voice, Kora has no more power than other Amazons.
