A young mutant cloned from En Sabah Nur. Discovered and raised by a couple in Colorado, he is nothing like his progenitor.

Background:
In 1899, En Sabah Nur was defeated in his latest attempt to alter the shape of the world by spreading a new version of the Techno-Organic Virus. As usual, Nathaniel Summers and the League opposed him. The final blow, however was Nur's ally Mr. Sinister betraying him as well. His reasons have not been discovered, but it is possible he feared a world where the T-O Virus ran rampant.

One part of Sinister's plan did not come to fruition though. It had been a relatively simple matter for Sinister to get a sample of Nur's DNA while working with him, and realizing that Nur could be checkmated in his plans but never truly defeated, decided to create the ultimate weapon to defeat Apocalypse - himself. Nur himself had shared thousands of years of research and access to Celestial technologies with Sinister, so the cloning process and technology were fairly simple for the scientist to put together. Deep in one of Sinister's labs, Nur's cells started building into a new being.

Things did not go quite to plan, however. When the League started fighting against the Molluscs, Sinister's lab was seemingly destroyed, and apparently his latest experiment along with it. Nur was defeated again, and Sinister moved on to other horrors in the name of genetics.

In 2005, a young spelunking couple, Steve and Elayne Morris were exploring an unknown cave system and stumbled into the remnant of Sinister's lab. There was only one thing still functioning - the heavily armored cloning tube containing the Apocalypse clone. Sinister had labeled the tube with the inscription 'Even En Sabah Nur can be rebuilt'. The destruction of the lab, while not destroying the tube had damaged the outside, including the inscription. All they could read was 'Ev n Sabah Nur'. Taking this to be the boy's name, they managed to open the tube and retrieve him. Fortunately the couple were mutants themselves, so took the boy's odd appearance in stride.

Having been unsuccessful at having a child of their own, they raised the boy as their own, imbuing him with a friendly, open personality and drive to help people. Though raising him as their son, they did leave him with what they thought was his name, filling in the blanks to make him Evan Sabahnur. Through a few contacts in what might be called the mutant underground, they managed to get him all the normal documents today's society demands if you want to be an actual person.

For some reason, Evan did not manifest his powers until the summer of his 16th year. His parents had never given up their love of caving, and Evan went right along with them. They were exploring a cave when the roof collapsed, leaving his parents trapped seemingly beyond hope. Evan started trying to dig them out without success. His love got his parents would not let him give up and the emotions and stress finally awoke the mutant genes inside him. For a 16 year old boy, thousands of tons of rocks were an insurmountable obstacle. For the mutant powers of En Sabah Nur's genetic legacy, there were no obstacles. With his strength and shapeshifting ability, he was able to open a tunnel large enough for them to escape through. Given the intensity of his awakening and the power level of his mutant abilities, Charles Xavier felt his awakening thorough Cerebro, and soon the young man found himself on a plane to New York. Having just arrived at the school, Evan will have assistance in discovering how his powers work, and exactly what limits, if any, they have. He will also have to discover his place in a society of mutants, instead of being 'that weird kid' in school.

Timeline:
* 1898: Nathaniel Essex collects DNA from Apocalypse and begins the cloning process.
* 1899: Essex betrays Apocalypse. In the ensuing battles his cloning lab is destroyed, leaving the clone in stasis.
* 2005: Steve and Elayne Morris stumble into the ruins of the lab while spelunking and release the clone from stasis, naming him based on the damaged inscription on the cylinder.
* 2021: Evan's powers finally manifest when his parents are trapped by a cave-in. Xavier detects the awakened mutant and offers him a place at the school.
* 2022: Evan arrives for his Junior year of school at Xavier's School for the Gifted.

Good Guy:
Evan was raised by two good people, and usually takes the most positive view of things possible. He's always got a positive outlook and will go out of his way to help someone if they need it.

Insecure:
Due to teasing about his appearance and good grades, Evan is somewhat shy and unlikely to put himself forward in social situations.

Powers

Adaption:
His body adapts to any environment or disease, often subsonciously, letting him function just about anywhere.

Biomorphing:
As a clone of Apocalypse, he is a metamorph, able to elongate like taffy, change into machinery, transform his arms and fists into various melee weapons like claws, axes, swords, tentacles, maces, scythes, shields, etc, and ranged weapons like plasma cannons, separate & reattach his own body parts, and even alter his physical appearance at will to blend in with the world around him. He can also fly with this ability, changing his feet into boot jets. He can reach reach supersonic speeds, and even leave Earth's atmosphere.

Eternal:
As a clone of Apocalypse, Evan is an Eternal as well.

Healing Factor:
He can regenerate for any injury in a matter of moments. He's not quite at Logan's level, but it is hard to keep him down for more than a minute or two due to his body's ability to simply shapeshift the damage away.

Immortality:
As Apocalypse is an Eternal, his young clone is also a member of that group, meaning he will be reborn should he die.

Size Shifting:
Evan can alter his size at will, increasing or decreasing the size of his body by taking on additional mass or ridding himself of it from an extradimensional source.

Super-Genius Intelligence:
Evan shares his template's ability to learn, leading him to be a straight A student, another thing he was teased about in school. He obviously doesn't have Apocalypse's millennia of knowledge, but he's able to quickly pick up anything he chooses to study.

Superhuman Durability:
Evan is highly resistant to harm, though he doesn't even realize this yet. He's nowhere near Apocalypse, who has augmented himself with both the T-O virus and Celestial technology, but Even can take hits from some of the best and keep going.

Superhuman Speed:
His speed and reaction time are well above human. He can easily keep a running pace of 30 mph, and his reflexes are good enough to dodge most conventional attacks aimed at him.

Superhuman Strength:
This has not yet been tested, but his genetic progenitor is one of the strongest beings in existence. That said, the most Evan has managed to move so far is about a ton. Maybe he'll grow into it, but that is another unknown at this time.

Family:
His adoptive parents still live in Colorado where they raised him. If he makes enemies, they are a weak point for him, as he loves them deeply.

Insecurity:
Evan worries about what people think of him. He was often teased for his appearance as well as his good grades, leaving him somewhat shy in new situations.

Obvious Mutant:
With his gray skin and black striped face and lips, Evan is obviously not human and will be treated as any other mutant by the various hate groups and enemies of mutantkind.

Unknown Powers:
Evan does not have all of Apocalypse's powers. He doesn't know of Apocalypse or what he might even be capable of, and even if he did he wouldn't know for sure if the cloning was successful enough he will ever develop any specific power. He's only recently awakened his mutant genes, and has done only the most basic of experimentation on what he can do. His strength and durability are simply a part of him, but even there, he is unpracticed in living with that strength, still sometimes breaking things by accident when simply trying to pick something up. He avoids physical contact with others as he doesn't trust himself not to harm them. The durability will function as normal, but he doesn't know how hard he is to harm, so will still respond to physical danger just like anyone else, diving for cover, running away, etc. He does know about his shapeshifting on a basic level, given he saved his parents with these abilities, but has no idea of the extent of what he can do.
