Character Info
Profile
Julian Keller is a wealthy young mutant from southern California. After being expelled from a wide range of expensive private schools, Julian was sent to attend Xavier's Insitute. There, the staff have kept a close eye on him, after an early assessment marked him as a potential threat as he moves into adulthood. His choice of the codename Hellion isn't encouraging.
Timeline
Timeline:
* 2001: Julian Keller is born in Los Angeles.
* 2002-2014: Julian is raised in a life of
privilege, the only son of a wealthy family. Spoiled rotten and treated like a prince, he attends
private school, has every material gift a boy his age could want and generally has a blessed life.
The only downside is his parents don't seem much interested in having a child and he spends most of
his time with caretakers and employees rather than his mother and father. He learns the best way to
get their attention is by acting out and causing trouble, although even that stops working after a
while.
* 2015: Julian throws a temper tantrum after being deprived of going on a trip with his
school friends. In his resultant furor, objects around him begin to spontaneously shatter, explode
or fly across the room. This is the first manifestation of his mutant abilities.
* 2017: Julian's
begun to develop control over his abilities, but is using them to bully and generally be a source of
mayhem. After a couple of years of multiple expulsions from private schools, the Keller family is
contacted by Xavier's Institute and Julian is given an opportunity to attend. His initial assessment
does not go well and notoriously, among the staff, marks him as a potential threat and danger to his
fellow students and the world in general if he continues along his current path.
* 2020:
Finishing out his final year of formal schooling, Julian is considering his future. He's tempered
his bad behavior, but not by much and he's still teetering on the edge between the light and the
dark. Only time will tell where he ends up.

Personality
Charming:
Julian, for all his bad aspects, can be very likeable. He's charismatic and smart. He's good at
knowing the right thing to say. He's good looking and can seem very confident, very capable. He's
good at putting on the mask and making his insecurities go away, as long as you don't look too
closely at the cracks.
Intense:
Julian feels everything very intensely. Whether it's love or hate, fear or excitement, he
experiences his emotions with powerful and overwhelming force. He's never half-hearted or partway
about anything. He always has an opinion and he tends to see the world a little bit in black and
white.
Lonely:
In truth, Julian's never really had anybody he could rely on. His parents wanted him as a
trophy, a set piece to their perfect life. The servants were only there cause they were paid. His
friends in school just wanted to leech off his money or his power, but none of them were close. He
couldn't confide in them. Julian has always felt singled out, alienated. Being a mutant doesn't
help.
Obsessive:
Julian gets very attached, to things, to ideas, and most especially to people. When someone
earns his interest or his regard, he can become extremely obsessed. If it's something productive,
this can be a good thing, making him get things done. Of course, it can also become unhealthy and
lead him to making bad choices.
Pride:
Julian has a fairly high opinion of himself. Some of that's bluster, just a front he puts him,
but sometimes it's genuine enough. He has an arrogant aspect to him, a sense that he's better than
others, that he deserves more. It can make him something of a jerk and give him an excessive amount
of confidence beyond his capabilities.
Character Sheet
Powers
Burning Hands:
Burning Hands: Julian can create psychokinetic hands to replace those he lost, but they are
infused with his rage and pain. His psi-hands burn hot enough to melt steel with a touch. His fists
can channel explosive charges up to an equivalent of several sticks of dynamite, capable of
shattering brick walls or driving through the engine block of a car. Suppressing the flames and heat
requires substantial focus and emotional discipline.
Combustion:
Hellion's powers have a habit of manifesting in spontaneous and explosive ways when he's under
emotional strain. If he's extremely angered or afraid or in any way deeply agitated, his powers will
vibrate the molecular structures of nearby objects, causing them to explode, splinter, shatter or go
flying through the air. These powers could have great potential, showing how he could affect matter
at the molecular level, but, at current, he has no control at all over these abilities, simply
having them activate uncontrollably with his emotional spectrum.
Flight:
Using his telekinetic field, Julian can fly under his own power. He can generally reach speeds
of around 100 miles per hour before he begins to struggle with breathing. He can maintain his flight
for a couple of hours, allowing him to travel relatively near distances under his own power. He has
good mobility and maneuverability in the air, although he's still mastering it along with the rest
of his powers.
Telekinesis:
Julian's primary power is telekinesis, the ability to move matter with his mind. His power
manifests itself as a glow of green energy enveloping his being and most notably radiating from his
eyes. With his telekinetic power, he can use his mind to flip and throw cars, smash brick walls or
throw people with bone-breaking force. He can craft shields capable of withstanding heavy superhuman
blows and protecting him from explosions of dynamite or blocking incoming bullets. His TK is
extremely powerful, capable of lifting dozens of tons, but remains something of a blunt instrument,
without a great deal of fine control or tactile ability, making it much more useful at breaking
things than putting them together.
Skills
Delinquent:
Julian's sort of the classic high school bad boy, which means that he's acquired a certain set
of skills. He's good at ditching classes, coming up with excuses and avoiding getting caught. He's
good at small acts of mayhem like sabotaging other people's cars or sneaking into public events
without paying. He knows the spots where you can smoke without getting seen by teachers or places
you can go in the mall where the cameras aren't so good. He can pick a pocket even without his
powers, just to prove he can.
Drive:
Julian's always been into fast cars and high end performance vehicles. He's an above average
driver and rider of motorbikes.
Light Touch:
Julian has been developing his fine telekinesis and is training himself to use prosthetic hands
with more finesse, though he still has a far journey ahead of him to mastery.
Rich Boy:
Being privileged is something of a skill. He knows how to operate in high class places, how to
mind his manners when he has to. He's up on trends in fashion and music and culture. He knows who
important people are and understands his place in the world of socialites and aristocrats.
Resources
Hellfire:
Julian's wealthy family has been part of the Hellfire Club for generations and he has access to
it as a legacy member.
Trust Fund:
Julian comes from a family of extreme wealth, worth several hundred million dollars. To his own
name, he has a trust fund exceeding 10 million dollars to which he gained access on his 18th
birthday.
Xavier's:
Julian is a student at Xavier's Institute. He has access to its personnel, assistance, resources
and technology.
Weaknesses
Blunt:
While, yes, Julian tends to be blunt of speech, his bluntness extends also to his powers. His
powers tend to be rough and unrefined. Other telekinetics may be able to pick locks or thread
needles or type papers. But him trying would just leads to shatter doors and smashed keyboards. He's
concentrating on getting better at it, but it's hard and frustrating. And when he gets frustrated,
things tend to explode.
Exhaustion:
Using his powers for long periods of time or under extreme stress (such as shielding himself or
others during an intense attack) can give him headaches, strain and physical exhaustion, even to the
point of passing out if he's stubborn enough not to back down.
Handless:
Julian's hands have been removed as a result of trauma inflicted during his kidnapping at the
hands of Mr. Sinister. He has fused stumps in their wake, which have been fitted with prosthetics
that he has to learn how to control with his telekinetic abilities.
Temper:
Julian has a bad temper. He's thin-skinned, easily agitated and prone to throwing tantrums. He
tends to lose control of his powers during these tantrums, causing collateral damage to the world
around him, and it's an easy trigger for those he opposes to use against him.
Uncontrolled:
Julian's powers are deeply tied in with his emotions. If he's feeling agitated or angered, his
powers may activate on their own, usually by detonating or demolishing things in his vicinity with
his telepathy. He can't direct or manipulate objects in this way, his power simply acts of its own
accord, like a poltergeist.
