Profile
The greatest neurosurgeon, to the homeless hopeless wanderer, and finally the sorcerer supreme. Stephen has seen life, and death, and is still learning his place between.
Timeline
Timeline:
*1978: Stephen Strange was born to Eugene and Beverly Strange and grew up on the Family Farm.
*1989: Stephen helped with his sister's injury and learned a love for medicine.
*1997: Stephen enrolled in school at Columbia University; Sister drowned while swimming with Stephen.
*2001: Stephen begins as five year residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital.
*2005: Beverly dies and Stephen grows more callous and cold.
*2007: Eugene dies, Stephen becomes emotionally cut off.
*2011: Stephen drives off a mountain side in his sports car and severely damages his hands.
*2011-2014: Strange exhausts his afluence and influence with experiemental surgeries and remedies to fix his hands.
*2015: Stephen spends his last dollar to travel to tibet where he meets the Ancient One and begins to learn magic.
*2016: Stephen is named the Sorcerer Supreme, the Ancient One becomes one with the universe.

Personality
Close To the Vest:
While he does wear his sleeve on his sleeve, like most multimillionaires, Stephen also keeps things to himself, living in a world of secrets and being the top man in the world of unknowns and unknowables, Stephen knows better than to go around sharing his side of the story without trust and without need.
Egotistical:
Stephen has the work ethic of a man possessed and as such, when he puts his mind to understand something, he will understand it fully, and completely so much so that he becomes singularly minded in that aspect of life, and as such, he'll be washed by his own greatness and will not hide what his work has wrought.
Healer:
Strange, though he may have lost his way at times, he tended to put the health of others at the forefront of his actions, even if it was for monetairy gain for a while, he eventually saw the error in his ways and now when encountering those not of this world he still thinks of how best to help and all involved. A true doctor.
Humbled:
Strange has been at the top of the world multiple times, figuratively and literally, and every time he sat there and basked in his own hubris, only to come crashing down. Strange now sees the value in others, even if he thinks they aren't enough, he knows better and will absolutely put others fully before himself for the best reasons and not just an oath or two.
In For a Penny:
Strange doesn't do anything half way, and as such, he's missed out on many things in life by being as hyper focused as he is. He missed out on important moments with his sister or parents by being focused on his schooling and becoming the best doctor he could, then in being the best sorcerer he could. Stephen has one gear and that's go, no half measures.
Minimalist:
Stephen doesn't live lavishly, or afluently, not any more, despite his house being quiant and the clothes he wears no longer custom made, they're still not off the rack. As the sorcerer Supreme he has no need for money, and as such, he doesn't much need or crave the material world and its trappings. Stephen seeks the finer things in life.
Pragmatic:
Even working in the mystical realms, Stephen looks at everything rationally, as he does have decades of schooling and learning to filter life's events through before making a decision and as such, he's very much a realist, or at least one who thinks things through before acting on them.

Powers
Astral Projection:
Stephen is able to send his mind/soul out from his body to scour and explore the places between dimensions, other dimensions or our own world able to move at the speed of thought and even speak telepathically to those he might encounter, but no more than that, no physical interactions, including visible and audio spectrums.
Crimson Bands of Cyttorak:
Ribbon esentially, as strong as any substance known to man or alien, these bands are able to bound something as though they were a snake or wrap around nothingness forming a sealed ball of magical energies that require the greatest concentration to maintain against those within.
Flames of the Faltine:
Stephen can summon mystical fires that are said to be as hot as the flames of hell and yet more capable than ordinary fire, or mage fire, as these are born of being of pure mystical fire energies. Able to burn nothing more than magic energy of the caster, or even worse, burn the magical energy of those they are set upon, these flames can burn eternal in nearly any situation.
Shield of the Seraphim:
Stephen is able to cast a mystical shield, a concentration based spell, able to block or withstand nearly anything as long as the users will and concentration hold out. It can be cast in a traditional shield shape buckler, or a full sphere for full but harder to maintain protection
Sorcerer:
Stephen is a practiced, and practicing sorcerer, wizard, magician, warlock, however you want to say it, he's able to cast and counter magic spells with spells of his own. Some are instant and near mindless, pure blasts of mystic energy, or mystic barriers, some are more complex, requiring multiple hand motions, or words to create the effects of the spell. Even further are rituals, potions, and artifacts. Stephen is able to do any of these schools of wizardry, though some he has less practice with than others.
Teleportation:
A simple enough feat with innumerable ways to achieve it with objects, people, beings, even full structures and even planets and dimensions, Stephen is able to move from here to there with minimal time and often times quite a bit of effort or not, depending how far one needs to go.
Winds of Watoomb:
Stephen is able to summon gale force winds to blow away his foes, wrap them up in a whirlwind or any number of things that the wind itself could do. Enhance fires, put out fires, move the waves of the oceans or sail ships.
Skills
Learning:
Stephen has been described to have one solitary gift, he can learn. The focus and determination of the desire to know. Stephen studying is a sight to behold. He reads multiple books, and requires multiple screens when he was in school, as tabs on his browser, that was too slow. Stephen is an academic at heart.
Martial Arts:
Mastering the body took some effort, though for the man that mastered the mind years before, taking application the step further to learn how to use his body and control it completely, despite his damaged hands, lead further down the path of the Sorcerer Supreme and has only aided his mystical prowess.
Occult Lore:
Due to his voracious appetite for knowledge, Strange has established himself as a foremost expert on occult knowledge, extra dimensional entities, rituals and the like. This is often supported by the array of artifacts and tomes he has access to.
Surgeon:
Stephen was the number one neurosurgeon in the world, those skills might have gotten a bit rusty since the accident, and yet, those skills remain inside Stephen's mind. Had he a way to use them, he would still be saving lives, and yet he might not be the sorcerer he is today.
Resources
Cloak of Levitation:
The red cloak with the ever changing collar, length, color even, and size, is more than just a murderous version of Aladdin's flying carpet. It can fly and allow its wearer to fly at 25 miles per hour limitlessly, it is able to change into a more muggle article of clothing, as well as add to the pool of magic of its wearer.
Contacts:
Stephen was an influential famous/infamous neurosurgeon, he can likely reach into a rolodex and pull out several names of individuals in near by hospitals and even across the country and pull some favors. As well as his mystic connections, with Wong, his teacher, and even reaching out into the cosmos to discuss with the Ancient One, and even beyond that and having contact with the Cosmic Entities, though that takes some rather extreme circumstances.
Eye of Agamotto:
The insanely powerful amulet often worn around Stephen's neck. It was made by a founding member of the Vishanti and grants the user incredible powers, such as the light of truth that emits from the opened eye, dispelling all illusion and revealing all truths that are washed in the light. It also grants the wearer a corporeal form for a short time while using an astral form spell. It also can be used as a great pool of mystical power for the wearer to draw upon should the need arise.
Sanctum Sanctorum:
Stephen, as the Sorcerer Supreme, is in charge of protecting and allowed to live within the Sanctum Sanctorum, a mystical house in the middle of Greenwich village. A building built on former Native American Sacrificial table, and in the middle of the most powerful ley line on the American tectonic plate, it is built specifically because it's on an incredibly powerful location. With gateways to all realms and ways to all areas of the planet as well as museums and storage for all kinds of artifacts and tomes.
Weaknesses
Concentration:
Stephen must have focus for his spells to work. The one off shots and blasts tend to not be so difficult, but some require intense concentration to hold or maintain against a foe, and as such, a distraction, a breaking of focus or redirection of his mind, and the spell will instantly be undone.
Hypocratic Oath:
While some consider it a good thing, some can consider it a negative, not only will Stephen refuse to take any life, human, animal, norse god, or even interdimensional beings, and aliens, he will actively try to resolve any problems that confront him without resorting to violence if at all possible, even at the risk of having his Sorcerer Supreme title revoked. That was the first oath he took and to Stephen it overrides all other oaths he's taken since.
Man:
For a man with such incredible power, the Sorcerer Supreme is still just that, a man. He's going to dinner parties with elder gods, standing on nothingness with abstracts of thought given form and conversing with things that only exist between the universes, and yet, he's still just a human man.
Mystical Price:
The one thing Harry Potter didn't teach is that magic, like physics, has a price. 'An Equal and Opposite Reaction', for each spell something must be returned. Stephen's sense of taste has been... not inverted but changed due to his body chemistry being changed. He no longer is able to digest normal food, but he can digest more ... fowl and pungent things.
