Titans Tower Pizza Party!
Date of Scene: 08 January 2024
Location: Main Room - Titan's Tower
Synopsis: Irie throws a pizza party to have the titans (and their plus ones) meet her boyfriend. All goes well!
Cast of Characters: Irie West, Billy Batson, Emiko Queen, Damian Wayne, M'gann M'orzz, Mary Bromfield, Yaretzi Acama, Clara Jennings, Kyle Rayner, Marie-Ange Colbert, Jon Kent, Wally West, Caitlin Fairchild, Kian, Donna Troy

Irie West has posed:
Irie flits about the main room of the Titans Tower like a nervous hummingbird. This is a big day! She's going to officially introduce her boyfriend to the Titans so he can meet them all at once. Aaaand this is a pizza party! This is the first party she's ever thrown so not only is she worried about whether or not she's gotten enough food for everybody, she's also worried about how everybody will react to Billy. She knows that she's like an adopted daughter to the Titans as a whole, having come here three years ago, displaced in time with nothing to her name save her costume. Hopefully they won't be //too// protective.

As for the spread that she's got laid out, she's got a couple of pepperoni pizzas, a couple of Hawaiian, several different kinds of specialty pizzas a few supremes. On top of that she's got a couple of vegan pizzas, and one that's even gluten free for anybody who has an allergy. Lined up on the back counter is just about every drink imaginable. Several different flavors of sodas, making sure that there's at least a couple of sugar free options, a pitcher of strawberry lemonade, and a pitcher of sweet tea.

As people start to arrive, she gives each a hug, unless they indicate otherwise, and a variation of "Hey, come on in. Help yourself to some food." Billy, when he arrives, gets a peck on the cheek and breathes, "I hope you're ready for this. There's gonna be a lot of people."

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson enters with a large tray of tacos and says, "I'm ready. I wrote a speech. I also brought three more trays of tacos from Ro... Mom. can someone lend a hand?" He also has a small hand truck he's wheeling behind him with practiced motions. He sticks that in a corner for the moment. He looks for a clear spot to set the tray down. the pizza gets an appreciative look, after Irie.

Emiko Queen has posed:
"Looks like you've put together a respectable spread." Like a true ex-assassin you didn't see Emiko enter the room, but after she is in she waits for Irie to properly notice and greet her. So it's less being sneaky and more of a 'When did you get here?' type scenerio. Followed by hugs and all that sort of thing. "Looks like the three years have done you well." She knows a lot of what's gone on mainly from Bart, but she can relate to the whole having to start amongst stranges in a very different setting.

Damian Wayne has posed:
"You're going to be fine." That comes from where? Rook's somehow already there. He picks up a slice of only vegetables pizza to snack on. Dressed in a hoodie with a jacket over it, blue jeans, sneakers and wrap-around sunglasses that hide his eyes, the youngest Bat family takes a bite from the vegetarian slice.

"It really is noone's business who you chose to date, Irie. You didn't travel from the future and just went through this whole time displacement business to be told otherwise. So. Congrats." A brief smile, and he moves to pass the baton to someone else. "Good to see you again, Billy." And that's all he really has to say on the matter as he perches on one of the stools. Emiko gets an upnod in greetings, respect the game, respect the player.

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
"How many hands do you require?" M'gann will step forward, growing a few inches as she does so, all the better to support the four additional arms that sprout from her sides... all the better to carry the taco trays with! "Will this be enough?"

Martians. So weird. But helpful!

She's arrived with Superboy as his 'date' for the evening, though more so she can meet more people and get in more socializing with others in her apparent age group. Nobody need know how old she actually is!

Mary Bromfield has posed:
And well, Mary and Marie-Ange have been here, helping set up in time for her little brother's turn to face the music. She's wearing a perfectly gaudy ugly Christmas sweater with owlbears dancing around a Christmas Tree, along with a dark green skirt of modest length.

Her eyes seem to twinkle as she looks over at Billy, "Relax. You'll be fine. Mostly. Probably. I think." She then grins, enjoying teasing him as she doesn't seem worried at all with how things will go.

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Golden Eagle floats through the open doors and into the room. "Hiya, gang...!", she cheerfully calls as she arrives... then slows to a hover. "Oh... hey! I didn't know you were part of the gang here, too!", she says, as her feet hit the floor and she waggles fingers at Billy... then gets a look on her face as if she's fogotten something.

"Cuatli!", she calls out, and white 'mist' surrounds her for the space of a heartbeat. When it fades, Yaretzi's standing in her place. Sticking out her hand at Billy as if for a handshake, she says, "My .... my name's Yaretzi Acama!", she says. "Sorry it took me so long to tell you, after the stuff we've been through together. I've just always been really worried about who might know that."

Of note, when she transformed from her heroic form to her mundane one, she's carrying a plastic bag by its handles in one hand, and inside the plastic bag are a pair of foil-wrapped package. Food of some kind?

Clara Jennings has posed:
Have you ever accidentally shown up to a party when you were just looking for someone to ask a few questions of? Yeah, that is how Clara winds up here. She is among the newest of the potential Titans, and generally speaking she is far less afraid of being shot at than showing up unprepared.

So it is she finds herself in her worst nightmare. This is a social occasion with new potential.. coworkers? Teammates? Friends? And she has no script to even start with.

Still, a welcoming hug is great for calming the nerves. "Oh, um, hi there. Sorry, just thought I would join!" With others showing up, though, she manges to subtly insinuate herself into the background.

Clara has kind of given up on any pretense of secret identity business here. She is dressed for non-heroics. Shockingly she's wearing a dark green dress that only goes a bit past the knee.

Kyle Rayner has posed:
Kyle Rayner is there with the others. He gives people a wave while in his civvies. Today it's a black shirt with a familiar bat-symbol in a yellow oval. The head portion looks ripped off. "Ozzy Wuz Here!" beneath it. That missing head avoids any copyright issues.

Over the shirt is a simple dark green hoodie and he wears a medium blue denim carpenter jeans. Green eyes look about as he tries to do what he can because everyone's moving about. There's excitement, nervous energy and everything else. So, he's just trying to help the gang.

"What else do people need help with?" Kyle calls out. Th gaze does slip to one of those meat lover pizzas here, and there. It's like seeing a long lost friend.

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
Being inside Titans Tower is definitely a new experience for one Marie-Ange Colbert; the lithe redhead making her first appearance within the hallowed walls tonight, as well. Aside from letting her gaze wander over various items, and quietly repeating to herself -- in French -- directions on how to get around here or there, she's trying not to let it show.

She's opted to match her hair, with a sequined red dress; a compromise behind her natural modesty and watching to show off a teensy bit. "Of course he will be fine, Mary. He has faced fiercer foes, n'est-ce pas?" Marie chimes in, eyes twinkling with mirth.

There are quite a few strangers about, though, so she's sticking pretty close to Mary.

Jon Kent has posed:
M'gann stepping forward to assist with additional arms and hands earns a little chuckle of amusement out of Superboy. Jon Kent - Superboy - is dressed for work as it may be. Wearing the suit and cape that many have come to associate with Superman and Superboy over the years. It's likely that the tousled haired young man expects to depart suddenly. For now he stands to the side of the gathering within the Titans now, watching friends interact and associates socialize without thrusting himself into the middle of any given conversation. For now.

Wally West has posed:
It's a big day for Irie! Is this her first party she's set up? Is this like, her BIG moment? No, Wally knows it's neither of those things. He knows it's all about meeting the boyfriend. So! Wally won't do the kind of things that absentee fathers do when it's time to meet the boy, but what he WILL do is be present. Be supportive. And be /there/ for his daughter.

Because that's how much he loves her.

And so it's in a blur that the Flash himself arrives , his hand waving at everyone. "Hey guys! Sorry if I'm late. Had a bit of a problem down in Keystone City, but I worked it out!" He turns to look towards Irie for a moment, speeding up to her to give her a pat on the head. "Hey kiddo. This is a REALLY nice-looking party. I'm happy to be here." He lowers his cowl so she can see his face much more clearly. "Sorry I'm late. Forgive me?" He has his entrie focus on Irie right now.

"and thank you so much for preparing so much food. You did good." Pride is all over his face!

Then he turns his attention to Billy. "Hey, don't know you. Are you the guy of the hour?" Wally smiles at him, avoiding the practice of fathers that involve staring down the boyfriend with every intention of eventually eviscerating him.

Caitlin Fairchild has posed:
Of course, Irie won't be stuck doing -all- the hostess duties. Caitlin is there to help out, quietly tending to many small things that might otherwise be overlooked. Cutlery, flatware, drinks, napkins, and setting out any and every condiment imaginable to go with the spread. Even some more exotic spices and flavors to accommodate the tastes of more cosmopolitan Titans.

Like the others Caitlin is dressed up a little beyond her casual wear. An olive-hued A-frame dress with short sleeves and a two-button collar perfectly suits her own conservative taste in clothing, paired with black ballet flats and simple silver jewelry. "Make sure everyone gets firsts before you go for seconds," she reminds the crowd. "And there are shakes handy for anyone who can't fill up on pizza."

Kian has posed:
Well, so much for a quiet evening lounging about the main room.  Apparently someone said 'pizza' and that summoned almost every Titan there is.
    Sounds like a plan.
Basically, this is everything that goes through Kian's mind between popping out of the open shaft, and alighting delicately.  "/Kie/!  I really hope this is just a mass gathering and not an emergency because something horrible is about to happen."
Someone is getting blase' about life in the tower....

Irie West has posed:
"Thanks, Rook," Irie says rubbing the back of her head sheepishly. "There's just so many people who want to meet him that when he suggested that we do something like this, it just made a kind of sense, you know?"

When her dad shows up she gives him a hug and says, "Naw, you got here just in time. You're forgiven." She grins as she looks at the spread. "Yeah. Well, I figured with you and me, and maybe Bart, I better make sure that we had a lot of food tonight.

Once it looks like everybody who is going to arrive has arrived, Irie goes over and stands on a chair so she can gain some height and look out over everyone. Raising her voice she says, "Hi, hello! I'd like your attention please!" When it looks like she's gotten everybody's attention she grins and continues. "Thank you all for coming! So many people! I hope I got enough pizza for us all. If we need any refills, I can always just zoom to the store and pick something up."

"So! I threw this party so that people can meet my boyfriend, Billy," she says, gesturing at the boy in question. "In his household, they hold a taco party to meet the girlfriends and boyfriends of their members so they all get a chance to mingle. So I figured, hey! I should do the same with the Titans, but for us it's gotta be pizza!"

"Anyway. Here's Billy. He's sweet and kind and reliable, and also kinda a goofball, which is why I like him so," she says with a grin. "The first time I met him he... wait, no. That's the second time. The first time I met him was for movie night at Happy Harbor. The //second// time I met him he taught me how to swim. He was a really good teacher. Very patient with me. He's also the one who taught me how to drive. So, you know, he's cool."

"So, everybody, this is Billy!" she says gesturing with both hands this time to Billy. "Billy this is..." And she goes around and introduces everybody by name (or moniker if their identity is secret). "So, um, let's get this party started! Everybody dig in!"

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson puts a warning label on one tray of tacos. <HOT> and decides to speak his peace. He excuses himself, projecting. That's the way his foster dad the cop showed him.

?Hi.?

I?m the Billy that Irie talks about. When I started dating her, it was made clear to me that many people wanted to give me the Talk. Many people would be guarding her well being and willing to lay the beatdown on me if I ever hurt her. Well, I?m giving you the Talk.?

I am not going to hurt her. I?m not making her unhappy for a single femto-second. But not because of any of you.? He looks at Irie for a long moment,

?You see the way she looks at me? The way her smile lights up??

Why would I jeopardize that??

She gets my fries without asking. She gets my jacket when she?s cold. She gets swimming lessons. She gets driving lessons. I?ll give her whatever I can. I will face whatever she faces.?

If you?re thinking, what about villains attacking? Mostly it seems I will be holding her purse and earrings. But if she ever needs a hand? Shazam!?

Boom! Transformation! Reveal!

This is my costume. It?s the suit I wear to do my side job. I?m still Billy in it. Her relationship is with Billy. She made it clear that Billy, scrawny Billy, was and is the cool one. Just another reason she?s epic. Shazam!

Anyway, that is my talk to all of you. I look forward to meeting you all. Now lets have some pizza!? Billy hugs Irie

Clara Jennings has posed:
Clara listens to the introduction and cannot help but smile. It is rather cute, after all. She offers a little wave before she snares some of the pizza. She will just snare a piece covered with veggies and heads Rook-ward.

She is just sitting down when Shazam does.. the whole Shazam thing. Thankfully she is sitting down.

"I am.. never sure what to expect in this place," she murmurs. "That was possibly the nicest speech ever though. Don't you think?" She is looking at Rook, wondering if this might be a chance to not get growled at. It is worth a shot, right?

Damian Wayne has posed:
Rook listens to the speeches and arches a brow. "Well, Titans. He's on to us. Let's go ahead and set up the gauntlet for him to walk through while we hit him with paddles." Said with a flat driness that suggests neither if that was a plan or not, he just takes another bite of his pizza.

He doesn't seem surprised by the transformation, instead, he gives a wave over to Superboy. "Hey!" he greets Jon. And like a switch, he seems to just a little more friendly and a less growly. A best friend does that. "Looks like Irie isn't the only one that needs to make an introduction?" he offers in a gentle prompt.

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
As the speeches are delivered, first from Irie followed by Billy, Marie just starts to glance around the room a little awkwardly. Meeting Mary's family was... well... not exactly the same as this and she didn't deliver any speech.

Of course, her first time meeting Mary's family, she also happened to be her /friend,/ not her /girlfriend./ So, it really was the Easy Mode of Meet the Parents.

Of course, then Rook's speaking and making his crack, and the redhead raises a hand. "Monsieur, do you have extras for guests? I did not think to bring one."

Yes, Marie is going to take Rook quite serious on this, and when in Rome...

Kyle Rayner has posed:
"Well, congrats. May you not face the wrath of every speedster in the land for even Mercury will not be able to save you," Kyle can only imagine an army of speedster coming t give Billy the "Dad" or "Brother" talk.

"May yo uall have many happy seasons together!" he says with a grin and gves a nod. Then he smirks looking over everything.

Emiko Queen has posed:
Emiko Queen tilts her head as Billy shows off transforming. "Huh. Did not expect that... I did bring Nerf Arrows just in case a hazing is needed," she remarks towards Rook with a brief smirk. "But right now I'm more interested in assassinating some of that pizza."

She glances around the room a moment, but doesn't see the one she's looking for. Probably got distracted doing some good like he usually does, it's the only way a speedster is ever really late. "I'm sure if Impulse was here he'd be happy for you, speeches or no speeches."

Jon Kent has posed:
The transformation earns a pair of eyebrows climbing higher while Superboy watches on from the sidelines. The transformation back causes them to lower. Or maybe it's the call from Damian that causes the expression to pass and Jon's attention to turn toward Rook. Superboy's expression shifts from neutral and suddenly into a grin as he turns, his cape shifting with the movement as Jon begins to approach Damian, "Robin," he says making use of his secret identity. As Jon draws nearer a hand extends toward Damian while he asks, "How have you been?"

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary grins, "I can vouch for my little brother, too, for what it's worth." She nods at Billy, giving him and Irie a cheerful smile as she gives Marie a light nudge, "Hon, he's joking."

Then she pauses, and looks at Rook, "Um, you /are/ joking, right? Because Marie never had to walk that gauntlet..." Her eyes dance a bit, as she glances back to Marie.

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Yaretzi smiles as Billy introduces himself and heads over to set her plastic shopping bag, with its payload of what turns out to be two dozen spicy pork tamales, onto the countertop. Asking for an appropriate serving dish from who who're helpfully setting those out, she sets out the tamales for others to enjoy. Along the way, she claims one for herself, alongside a slice of pepperoni pizza.

With her plate in hand, she glances about, then heads over to where Rook is. "Heya, >Robin<", she says, stressing that name as she speaks it. "I thought you weren't gonna make it, tonight?" She also lifts her free hand to waggles fingers at Jon. "Hiya, Superboy!", she cheerfully greets.

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson walks over to Yaretzi, "Sorry, had to say that. Good to see you again. Come by the lair anytime. It is great to see you." He thanks Kyle, then the rest making his rounds. Superboy gets a pat on the shoulder. He isn't sure where Jon is these days but wants to be friendly.

He walks over to Rook and whispers, "You're welcome to come around too. You could have outed me anytime, I'm pretty sure... you sneak. Seriously, you're welcome to come to the Rock anytime." Okay, where'd he put that carrying case? Where is Irie in all this?

Irie West has posed:
Irie gets down off the chair to hug Billy, and ends up blushing at his speech. "You're the best," she tells him, grinning, and gives him another peck on the cheek.

"Relax, Mary," she says. "Robin really is joking. You can't tell it but we haven't hazed anybody since I came to live here. And that was three years ago!"

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary grins, "Oh, I'm /well/ aware of how the hazing works around here with the Titans." She sticks close to Marie though, looking quite pleased, and content to let Billy and Irie be the centers of attention, as they should be.

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
Once M'gann's helped to carry in the rest of the taco trays, putting them with the one Billy brought in, the extra arms will withdraw back into her body and her torso will return to it's normal size. She's likewise in her 'hero persona' with the green skin, the outfit complete with cape, though it obligingly stays close to her body (bio-clothes really are the best!). Offering a smile to Billy, she nods to both him and Irie, "Congratulations on the completion of the complex mating ritual of your species."

Turning away to let them celebrate with friends and family, M'gann will move towards the refreshment table, gathering up a taco and a slice of pizza before moving back towards Superboy and offering, "Do you have a preference? They both seem equally tasty."

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
"Oh! I understand, no--."

Cue the moment of turning red enough to match both dress and hair. Eyes going wide in shock. Mary has that effect on the French girl. "I-I...!" she stammers out, trying to find her words, and trying to make sure they come out in English rather than her native tongue. Fortunately, Irie's words once again confirm that Rook was joking, and she bristles a bit. "...well, good, then." A glance back to Mary, "We should eat now, yes?"

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Yaretzi nods to Billy. "Sure! ...and, really, sorry for how I kinda yelped at you about the Rock before. Oh! I got something I'd like to ask for your help with, too, being as you know a wizard and all that...?", she replies to Billy, before so briefly making her request of him.

"Also....", she goes on gesturing back at the food-laden countertop. "How spicy *are* those spicy tacos? I'm tempted to try out what you think deserves a warning label!", she adds, still speaking to Billy.

Kian has posed:
Kian nabs himself a couple slices of cheese pizza -- it's guaranteed safe -- and a tumbler of his purple sugar water, and finds himself a perch on a stool at the island in the kitchen side of things.  "Congratulations, then, to both of you!"

Wally West has posed:
Wally smiles at Irie, a kind look in his eyes. "Thanks, kiddo. I appreciate you. And honestly, my stomach is growling and I'm /starving/, so I'll at least be here all night." He laughs a little bit, a rumble in his chest as he fills the space with mirth and joy. He turns his attention then towards Billy Batson, green eyes friendly and warm and inviting.

He watches Billy as he speaks for a moment, though a brow clearly raises when Billy suggests he's giving /them/ the talk. Well, at least he's bold. He seems to stand there for a moment, listening. After such a transformation, Wally is standing there for a moment. Though he seems to smile for a second.

"Alright. Keep treating her well and we'll be okay." He winks at the hero. He turns his attention to Mary for a moment with a smile. "Noted." He smiles for a moment. "So you're good with me!" He pats Billy good on the back of the shoulder.

"Now come on, tell us about yourself while we're eatin'!"

Then he sees Caitlin and he freezes. "Uhm...hey Cait." He clears his throat for a moment. "Come talk to Billy." He suggests to her with a forced smile, but he's quick to find a plate and grab himself some pizza. PIZZA TIME.

Damian Wayne has posed:
"I could have." Rook/Robin responds to Billy. "But I don't do that to those I consider a friend. I figured you would share when you were ready." comes the reply, before he glances towards Yaretzi. "I decided to carve out the time. Though I will probably be leaving shortly, I have patrol with Batman tonight."

Offered in apology, he works on the rest of his pizza, noticing Clara nearby. "You're not going to get anywhere trying to blend in with the wallpaper." he points out to her. He has to sadly pass on the tacos and tamales, but, "The food looks delicious, Billy, Yaretzi. Good job. And Caitlin, I'll take a shake to go."

Clara Jennings has posed:
"You are not the only one who has to work tonight, Rook," notes Clara. "Besides, this does not seem like a moment to put myself forward, does it? Perhaps I will see you on a rooftop somewhere, if Batman does not catch me first."

Kyle Rayner has posed:
Kyle just smimle at veryone moving about. Honestly, it's nice to see everyone happy together. He's just here to grab a slice of pizza. Be a fly on the wall for the moment.

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson does not stay by Irie too long. Instead he unpacks a couple wireless speakers, a laptop and a mic. He looks up at Yaretzi and says, "Golden Eagle will wince. I have sibs who lost school days because of them. Mary slipped me one my first taco Tuesday with the Vasquezes. Rosa said, you want Mexican food chicos, I'll give you Mexican. She was mad. She really was proud of her lasagna and we were all eating tacos." He does have a taco on a plate but he is not watching them to finish his job with the speakers.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary grins over at Marie, "Yes, we should. Come on." She steals a quick kiss on the cheek from Marie, then grabs a pair of slices of pizza... as well as a Spicy taco. Getting a bit of a wicked look, she moves over towards Billy, "Here, speaking of tacos, got you one." She looks pure and innocent, as only she can.

Emiko Queen has posed:
Emiko Queen grabs a slice of pizza, and a taco in the other hand. "Look out, the speedster is hungry. Get your choices -now- while you still have them!" She's teasing Wally... because she knows all too well how much speedsters can eat thanks to Bart.

Irie West has posed:
Irie gives a weak little laugh at her father. "We're always starving but right now, I'm too nervous to eat. I want everybody to like him, you know? I'm hoping the pizza and tacos and everything else will soften you all up."

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Yaretzi nods in reply to Damian's words, and, her own tamale not yet even unwrapped, plunks it down onto his plate. "I'll get another one!", she says to him. "Do you want one, too? I made them myself!", she adds, directing that question to Superboy even as she's starting to head back to where the food is at -- and where Billy's warning label tacos await.

To Billy, about the spiciness of the tacos, she replies, "My family -is- from Mexico, Billy!", before finally stepping away to get herself another tamale -and- one of the tacos. If Superboy'd indicated he wanted a tamale, she brings him a plate with one, along with one of the warning label tacos!

Jon Kent has posed:
Jon's smile turns toward Golden Eagle as she casts a waggle of fingers in his direction. He lifts his own hand in greeting, but doesn't vocalize a greeting to accompany it. The departure of some soon sees the departure of Superboy as he slips out to attend to some other matters.

Damian Wayne has posed:
When Yaretzi plops the tamale on his plate, Rook looks up to her. "I'm a vegeterian." he reminds her politely, offering the tamale back to her. And as he does so, there's a soft chime on his phone. Setting aside the plate, he takes out the device and looks at it.

He offers a few quiet see you laters to those that he knows, before he slips out of the party to head back to Gotham.

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
When Superboy slips away, M'gann looks after him, brows drawn together. Quickly scarfing down the food she'd grabbed, she moves to Irie and offers a smile, "It was really a very nice party. I'm afraid there's unavoidable trouble that needs dealing with. Thank you for the lovely party."

Then M'gann is phasing her way through the building to go find out what sort of trouble called her friend away, and how she can help!

Clara Jennings has posed:
Clara finishes her pizza and looks curiously around at the group. There is a lot of going, and she rather hates to join it. She hesitates on the way, though, diverting herself to Irie.

"Sorry, I do not really know, well, anyone here all that well, but I wanted to tell you that you look very cute together, and I hope everything goes well for you." The customary awkward pause as Clara tries to figure out what to say. It then dawns on her.

"Oh, I am Clara Jennings. New here. Probationary? I do not really know. Rook suggested I come here and I have made a few appearances. And well, it is time for me to head back to Gotham. No rest in sight for me, as my director reminded me."

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson sees Irie sitting and fretting and puts down the equipment. He grabs the taco he had gotten and walks over to her. Sitting beside her, he puts his arm around her and gives her a peck on the cheek. "C'mon hon, everybody loves you. they at least tolerate me, the party and you are a hit. He gives her a little squeeze and then present his taco. He's starving so she must be. "Here, eat something, for me, please?"

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Yaretzi blinks. "Oh! You told me that before, too! I forgot! Sorry?", she says to Damian with a pout. Now with two spicy pork tamales and a warning label spicy taco, she looks around to find herself a place to sit and eat... and then Clara's making an intro, too. "Hi!", she replies, lift the hand she's not holding her plate with to waggle fingers at Clara. "I'm Yaretzi... Golden Eagle when I'm suited up!", she says to other probie, before plopping down on the end of the couch.

Emiko Queen has posed:
"Take care out there... and just because we're having pizza doesn't mean you can't call for help." Emiko calls after the people leaving. "Welp, more food for us." She takes a big bite out of her pizza. Then the taco. Then gestures at Irie. "Don't take it personally, it's not anything you did. Crime and evil never sleeps, so on. It was inevitable something would come up... and frankly, some asshole is going to regret making trouble when so many Titans are in one place. Easy to get a group together."

Irie West has posed:
"Hey, no problem," Irie tells M'gann. "In our line of work, we've got plenty of responsibilities, right?"

"Aww, thank you, Clara!" she says. "It's nice to meet you, and a pizza party is a good way to meet everybody else!"

When Billy comes over she leans into his arm and sighs. "Don't worry, they'll all love you." She takes the taco from him and gives him a grin. "Thanks. Now that this is going, I'm *hungry*." She, then, scarfs down the hot taco. "Mmmm! This is--" then the heat hits her. "WHOO! Hothothothothot!" She rushes over and pours herself a snackyshake to cool things down and fans her face, which is turning red.

Donna Troy has posed:
There are only two things that would keep Donna from being at Irie's party on time; either there's a worldwide shortage of ice cream and she'd had to arrange to have some specially made, or somewhere a crime was happening that she'd got involved in. Given the considerable amount of ice cream left in the freezer, it must be the latter. This is perhaps supported by the fact that when Donna does finally arrive, she's dressed in her full armor, with shield over her back and sword and lasso on her belt. Despite this, her entrance is pretty low-key.

Donna slips in quietly, finds Irie and gives her hair a quick scruffing, greets Billy with a quick "Hi!", then heads over to where Caitlin is hovering to exchange a few quiet words with her before grabbing herself a bottle of beer and a slice of pizza, and a bit relaxation.

Kian has posed:
Kian eyes the tacos with the warning label, and takes one.  Yet another alien with a weird relationship with spicy.  "Ooo, these are good," he comments, oblivious to Irie's reaction.
Fun fact: avians can't taste capsaicin.  Kian evidently can, but not the way humans do.  "Can you combine this," he asks, waggling the remains of his taco, "with pizza?  I bet that'd be good."

Clara Jennings has posed:
Clara is taking the time to collect her things (a briefcase full of paper, for those who can see into it!) when Yaretzi catches her attention. She turns to face her with a nervous smile.

After a moment of hesitation, she dips every so slightly into a curtsey. "Nice to meet you, Miss Yaretzi. Perhaps next time I am here I will run into you again. However, there is an ancient text with my name on it tonight, and if I can get it back to its museum I may be allowed to have a library day!" Which she makes sound the greatest treat in the world.

"Or maybe I can go dancing... or both?" She is lost in musing for a moment before she returns to the moment.

"Apologies. I will be seeing you later!"

Wally West has posed:
Maybe...maybe it's wiser to step away. Though Wally gives a glance to Caitlin for a long moment, a soft sigh leaving his nose, before he just shakes away personal problems and puts on his best face in support of Irie and Billy. "Don't worry kid. Everybody likes him." He remarks to Irie, ruffling her hair. "I'm proud of you. Looks like you picked a good one." Thoug hhe turns his head to Donna when she arrives. "Hey! Don!" He gives Troia a good wave.

Though he turns his attention to the party itself.

It's....really nice seeing everyone so happy.

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Smiling, Yaretzi lifts a hand to wave, another finger-waggle, at Clara. Then lifts the taco for a bite. As she starts chewing, her eyes widen a bit... and she takes another bite as soon as she's got her mouth free for it. She spends the next few minutes, while seated at one end of the couch, eating the food she'd gotten for herself -- and people watching.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary sighs quietly when she sees Billy give away The Taco, and shakes her head a bit. Though when Donna makes her relatively quiet entrance, the modestly dressed and-not-currently-Thunderbolt gives Donna a smile and a wave. She does, however, murmur quietly to Marie who stands next to her, "The tacos are fairly spicy, but not too much so. Nothing more than you've had when we've visited the house."

Emiko Queen has posed:
Emiko Queen says, "See?" Emiko waves to the fully clad Donna arriving. "Here come some more to fill the gaps. Still plenty of food to go around, Irie didn't skimp, and a few others brought more options as well."

She finishes her pizza slice, and gesters her now free hand towards Yaretzi. "I'll take one of those spicy tamales you brought. Homemade is always better." She may not be a speedster but she can eat a surprising amount for her lithe appearances. Effect of such a physical lifestyle she's lived.

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson looks at Irie, puzzled then at Mary. He peers. Then he walks over to to Irie and says, "Congrats, you have been accepted by the Vasquez Clan. I will join you." He takes the unfinished taco and begins eating it. He sweats a little. Then again he did have these before and it's all for Irie. He doesn't pat her back, she hates that. He does pull her hair back from her face.

"Marie- Ange, as soon as my mouth cools off and Irie can speak, we can do that thing we set up?" he asks a half an octave deeper than usual. Then he finishes the taco. Still sweating.

Irie West has posed:
Irie gives Donna a big hug and tells her, "Thanks for coming! You missed the big speeches. She's currently fanning her mouth and sipping on a snacky shake. Good thing she has such a high metabolism as the heat is already starting to fade. "Short version, this is Billy," she says gesturing over at her boyfriend. "he's kind and sweet, and a goofball, and taught me how to swim and drive, and he's also Shazam. Billy, this is Donna!"

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
Marie's been quiet as she hovers around Mary's orbit, but she's been quiet for a very good reason... she's been eating. Pizza, tacos... she doesn't shy away from either. Because, indeed, she /has/ had Mrs. Vasquez's tacos before, and while the first time she had them they left her gasping... she's built up somewhat of a tolerance over time.

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Yaretzi, her plate eventually emptied, goes to the kitchen area to set it down... and then hears Emiko asking for one of her tamales. "Oh! Sure!", she says, all smiles, and plucks one up to set onto Emi's plate... then turns to put the corn husks that'd been around the tamales she ate herself into the trashcan. "Hope you like it!", she adds -- then gets herself one of the shakes that're out. "Careful eating that next to one of Billy's taco, though! The two different spices kinda stack up on each other!", she informs.

Donna Troy has posed:
Donna returns waves to Emi and Mary as Irie gives the more formal introduction to Billy. She's pretty well acquainted with the Shazam family, so the secret identity revelation is no big deal. Mary and Freddy are both well known to her, and though she's never met Billy in his mortal guise before, she's fought alongside him once or twice. Billy gets a wink, a grin, and "You look after our Irie, okay?"

Introduction to the introducee done, Donna goes to join Wally, giving him a playful (but gentle, she knows her own strength) shoulder bump. "Irie's first party!" she whispers to him. "You must be proud." She'd probably said the same thing to Caitlin, but for complicated reasons those are two separate discussions.

Emiko Queen has posed:
Emiko Queen accepts with a smirk. "Thank you... and with the training I've been through in the past, that's almost more a challenge than a threat. But I just ate the pizza, so I should be fine." She unwraps the foil and takes a big bite of the tamala. Chews a bit, gives Yaretzi a thumbs up of approval, and sits back to savor the rest. The only thing better than homemade is authenticly homemade.

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson says to Kian, "I usually put Tabasco sauce on pizza. Here!" He grabs a bottle off the table (plainly for masochists). Tabasco is the best hot sauce, excuse me."

He walks over to Donna. "Bart said /YOU/ were going to be the hard sell. Bart is often wrong but he has a good heart. Nice to meet you. Maybe you could come to the Rock of Eternity sometime? It'd probably be very interesting to you. I think some Amazons may have been Shazams."

Speaking of Bart, he turns to Emiko, "Bart told me how wonderful you are. I'm sorry I'm being pulled all different ways."

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
"Oh, yeah! It's not like my mouth's melting off my face, but I'll admit to being a lil enchilada!", Yaretzi says in reply to Emiko. "...and it's just if you mix my tamales with his tacos. I ate his taco first, and it was fine... and I've had my own tamales before, and it wasn't like this. It's the two -together- that kinda go boom on the tongue!", she adds, before taking a pull at the straw in her shake... and making a 'oooh! This is good!' expression with her face as it hits her tongue.

Irie West has posed:
Watching everybody try a tamale is making Irie's mouth water. "Imma gonna try one," she says, grabbing one and unwrapping it. "Hopefully it's not as hot as the tacos." She chomps into it, chewing slowly to get its taste. "Mm! Good!" Then she wolfs it down and heads over to where the pizza is.

Wally West has posed:
Wally looks at Donna when she goes to join him, feeling a little bump of her shoulder against his. "Hey Don." He chuckles. "I am. Gosh, I'm so proud of her. I just wish that..." He sighs. Donna knows exactly what he wishes, but he doesn't know how to put it into words.

"...just kinda focusing on Irie, you know?" He whispers back to her so Irie doesn't catch on it, or at least, he's hoping she doesn't. His eyes shift to Irie for a moment, a little smile on his face. "I mean...just look how /happy/ she is."

Kian has posed:
"Ah, I've had tabasco.  It's pretty mild, I think," Kian remarks, "but it's good!"
He liberally douses a slice of cheese pizza with the sauce, and makes for the open elevator shaft.  "Congratulations again -- if you'll excuse me, I have to go meet with my partners.  And thank you for the pizza!"
One delicate wingflick, and the birdman is gone.

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Yaretzi, after that wonderful taste of shake she just had, smiles over at Billy. "I take it you know the joy of real, home-made salsa?", she asks of him. "I love that on top of a good bowl of yellow rice!", she adds. Then, being as Billy's drawn her attention towards Donna, too, she says, "Oh, hey... Donna. Billy might be able to help with the T-Com thingie...!", gesturing, with the hand that holds her shake, towards him.

Emiko Queen has posed:
Emiko Queen pauses in munching on her tamale. She heard Bart's name come up and it's hard to not pay notice to it. "Bart means well. Usually when he's off the mark, it's because he's trying to avoid say too much... sensative stuff." Usually sensative future stuff, but she doesn't go into that much detail. "That's nice of him. And don't worry about it Billy, you're the man of the hour, that just means you made a good impression." Resumes working on that tamale. Mmm, so good. When not being mixed with the hot tacos it's just the right spicy.

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson goes to make a final adjustment on the speaker. He produces a flute from the carrying case and begins herding Irie and Mary to a sofa to sit.

Billy for his part sits on the floor and looks at Irie as he begins playing. He gives Mary a wink. He leaves it to Marie to decide where to jump in. The flute playing... the speakers begin playing a background beat and they launch into Don't Stop me Now. Billy plays his heart out because it's a terribly hard song for a flute. Also his mouth is slightly numb from that taco.

Donna Troy has posed:
Donna gives Wally a sympathetic smile and a one-armed half hug. "Patience, Wally. Just let things happen naturally. Things will happen as they should in time, and for now..." she nods her head in Irie's direction and gives him a grin. "She's a great kid, Wally."

"Bart may just have been trying to scare you," Donna tells Billy with a quick laugh. "I think Irie's got pretty good judgement, and hey if you are one of the Shazams, you're basically family already. I'd be honored to visit the Rock of Eternity some time. I'm not aware of any Amazons having had that particular job in the past, but it wouldn't surprise me. We've had a few go off to do their own missions over the centuries, and we do kind of share patrons, after all."

"Don't we have that sorted out yet?" Donna asks Yaretzi, slightly surprised. "We could integrate a T-Com into a mini-drone for you, something that hovers close by you when needed. Would that sort the issue out?"

Wally West has posed:
"I know, it's just...I wish she didn't look at me like I was a problem to fix, sometimes." About Caitlin.

Wally shakes his head ever so softly. "But..she's the best kid some schmuck like me could ever ask for. She's gonna change the whole world one day." Proud father! Wally watches Irie for a long moment, though he nods in agreement with her as she speaks to Billy. "Agreed. He means well though." About Bart, and Wally stuffs his face with pizza.

"I could work that out." He looks between Donna and Yaretzi. "Been reading through a lot of Cyborg's manuals and tech notes."

Irie West has posed:
Irie is herded over towards the couch, a curious eyebrow raised. She giggles once she realizes what it is that Billy is intending to do. "Ohmygosh. This is the first time I've ever been serenaded!" She leans back to listen to them play with a huge grin on her face.

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
To Donna and Wally both, Yaretzi shrugs, but shakes her head. "Probably not... I kinda need something I can have with me in both forms, that isn't easy to see, and that won't just go 'poof' if I'm holding or wearing it when I turn into Eagle", she replies. "A drone has the same problem as me just carrying around a regular T-Com. If I'm carrying it when I change, it goes poof... and I can't just openly carry that kinda thing around as myself, too. My family doesn't know about this. I figured some kinda magic solution might work?"

She stays over in the general area of the food and snacks, with Donna and Wally as the serenade begins. She's smiling at it, but clearly opting to stay 'out of the way'.

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
When Marie notices that Billy's produced the flute, she scrambles in order to collect her violin from it's case on a nearby table. Mary might have seen that on the way in, but, when you're a musician, people have a tendency to expect you to play at a party, right? Right. So, she's quick to get herself set up, and as Billy starts to get to the chorus, joins in with her own instrument. Mixing classic music with a classical tool has been something she's practiced for a while, so it doesn't pose too much of a challenge... though she miiiight be holding back a bit to let Billy shine brightest, here. It's his day, afterall!

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary sits next to Irie on the couch, then laughs softly as she sees Billy and Marie-Ange play on the flute and violin. She grins, clearly enjoying this as she leans over to whisper to Irie, "You know, I have to say, I haven't ever seen Billy quite this happy." She smiles cheerfully, settling back to listen to the song from the pair.

Emiko Queen has posed:
Emiko Queen huhs at Yaretzi. "That is a peculiar problem. Not one I am familiar with myself."

Donna Troy has posed:
"She's coming at this from a different place than you Wally," Donna tells him quietly. "It'll take her time to come to terms with the way she sees you now and the way her future self saw you. It's easier for you because..." She smirks a little at the speedster. "Well, you've had a crush on her for a long time." To be fair Wally was 15 when he joined the Titans and had crushes on most of the female members of the team at one point or another, but that crush on Caitlin had a lot more lasting power. Donna had always put it down to a sympathy of hair coloring.

"You sure, Yar?" Donna tilts her head to the side thoughtfully. "Micro drone with enough charge to handle a few minutes of flight only, it would barely be any bigger than a regular T-Com. You could keep it hidden away easily enough, and when you transform, just have it fly away and hover for a bit while you do your thing. A magical solution would be a lot more complicated and probably less reliable. We'd need to take into account magical interactions, a miniature portal inside the area of your transformation effect is something I wouldn't recommend trying out without a fair bit of divinatory research first."

Wally West has posed:
"Yeah, well....I wish she would at least look in my general direction." Wally shakes his head. "Doesn't matter. She already told me how she felt. You don't have to give me hope, Donna." Wally shakes his head. "But for right now, let's just focus on Irie, yeah? I know I started the talk, but...let's just focus on Irie. For my sanity." He remarks to Donna.

He watches Billy serenade Irie, a little chuckle on his face.

"At least Irie seems luckier. Man, I'm happy she found a good one, looks like."

He takes another bite of pizza, before he turns to Donna. "Donna. I had a question. I want to train with you. Either on Themyscira or...something."

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
"I'm not sure too many people have that particular problem", Yaretzi says to Emiko. "Well, Billy's got access to that Rock place of his. It can't hurt to ask, anyway, right?", Yaretzi continues, mostly in reply, now, to Donna's idea. "... besides, what if I don't have a chance to let that drone loose before I transform, then I need to call for help? I'd hafta transform -back- to be able to get it going."

She enjoys more of her shake, too, while she chats with the more experienced members of the team, while also giving some of her attention to the music being played.

Emiko Queen has posed:
"Probably worth asking him... but let him have his moment serenading, yeah?" She bobs her head in the direction of Irie and Billy with his flute. "Wouldn't want to disrupt how happy they look."

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson finishes his song and sits on the sofa next to Irie, smiling. He waits for the punch in the arm. It's sort of her thing.

To Yaretzi he offers, "I've chopped ingredients for salsa and endured a lot of debate over how much red onion to include. Salsa rules."

He turns back to Irie, rests his head on her shoulder a little tired. "Did you like the song? I didn't want to go too sappy."

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
Likewise, once they're done, Marie moves to lean against the couch near where Mary's seated -- though, in her case, it's after making sure to put her violin away once more. "I did not wish to ruin the suprise, mon amour; Billy asked me to accompany him playing for Mademoiselle Irie, though I, of course, play for you." she confides with a playful wink, happily residing in the company of those she knows.

Irie West has posed:
Irie obliges and daps Billy on the shoulder. "You dork. You didn't have to serenade me. Especially in front of everybody." She grins, and wraps an arm around him. "It's a good thing that I like dorks."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary smiles and kisses Marie-Ange lightly, "It was beautiful, and I appreciate it Marie." She gently draws Marie-Ange in for a hug, sighing contentedly, "This is definitely nice, and honestly I should have brought you here sooner." She chuckles very quietly, looking quite relaxed.

She idly glances over at Irie, "Well, it runs in the family. I'm a full-time streamer, you know." She grins, still snuggled up with Marie-Ange on her half of the couch.

Donna Troy has posed:
There's a certain amount to unpack in Wally's request to train on Themyscira, and Donna chooses not to try to unpack it right now. "It's time we had another vacation on Themyscira," she tells him. "You missed the last one, so you better come along this time! It's a bit of a journey to make for regular training trips, but I can arrange for you to get special sessions with the Amazon combat trainers at the embassy in Manhattan if you'd like -- and you can train with me here in the danger room any time."

Is this wise? Donna is notorious for driving people hard in group training sessions, and the one-on-one training sessions she does with Caitlin and Damian from time to time are famously intense.

"Voice activation?" Donna suggests to Yar. "Let's do some experimenting and see what we can come up with. There are advantages to keeping the solution technological. Failure conditions. Anything that interferes with a technological solution would interfere with the T-Com anyway, using a magical solution would mean it's susceptible to both technological and magical interference."

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson bops Irie back on her arm. "I'm not a dork. You landed the King of the Dork Nation. I'm going to have to train you up for mom's special tacos. It can be done."

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
"I don't usually use red onion in my salsa", Yaretzi calls back over to Billy. "Good, crisp white onion is what I normally put in there. I'll hafta try red onion sometime, though, see how it comes out!" She stays over where she's at, though, still not wanting to get in the way.

She looks back over at Donna. "Even voice activation won't solve what I'm seeing as the problem, though. Look... see how I'm holding this shake in my hand?", she asks.

Then she says, "Cuatli!", and the white 'mist' envelops her and obscures her from view. When it fades away, Golden Eagle's standing there, her hand outstretched and fingers formed as if holding the shake, but there's no shake.

"See? It just goes away. It'll be there, in my hand again, when I change back tho... and if I pick up something now", she adds, while reaching out her other hand to pick up a napkin.

"Cuatli!", she says again, transforming back.

She's holding both the napkin and the shake, now, one item in each hand. "...the napkin doesn't stay with Eagle. I dunno why it works this way, but that's how it works, and I *do* know it's magic, so I'm thinking some kinda magic solution might make it so that I *can* have something that's with me before and after a transformation. I could carry around a regular T-Com, or a drone, or whatever, but if I just don't have time to stop carrying it, for whatever reason, I end up not being able to use it at all -- until I transform back, again."

Wally West has posed:
Wally nods softly to Donna.

"Sweet. Though I don't think your mom is going to like me very much. I'm yappy." Wally remarks softly to Donna. "Don't worry. You set the day? I'll be there. Do I have to wear a toga? I don't really have the figure for it." Wally tries to joke, though he nods ever so softly. "Sure...Manhattan. I can do that." He sounds almost disappointed, but the opportunity to train with Donna? That perks him back up. "Alright. Thanks. Don't hold back on me alright?"

Wisdom? Well, that was never Wally's strength.

But he seems to smile for a moment, just happy that she's happy. Though for a moment, he looks at Yar "You don't use red onion on salsa? That's criminal." He chuckles. "But I think it'd be smart. That way you can at least send something for mobile communication, or give us a message back if you ever get lost."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary does perk up a bit at the mention of, "Themyscria? Oh, I'd love to come along for this one." She grins, "Doubly so if I can bring sleeping beauty here along. Speaking of which, we should probably head back." Nudging Marie awake, the two make their farewells and depart, a faint crack of lightning outside the only hint that Mary decided to save a little time on traveling to Titans Tower from New York.

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Yaretzi remains silent on the whole Themyscira thing as the conversation goes that way, drinking at her shake.

Donna Troy has posed:
"Don't worry Wally," Donna says with a laugh. "She tolerates Gar and Terry, you'll be fine. They're both at least as yappy as you are." She pauses a minute in thought. "Gods. We're really lucky neither of those two are speedsters. Can you just imagine what they'd be like at triple speed? And no, no togas necessary. Togas are Roman, not Greek. Little known fact, Amazons invented pants."

Is that a 'Hamlet in the original Klingon' thing, or did Amazons really invent pants? We may never know.
