Profile
Batwoman is a force against crime in Gotham. Not as moralistic as her cousin, but not a killing machine either, she uses her intellect and combat training to end criminal enterprises with violent force. Kate Kane is a socialite who dabbles in various business ventures.
Timeline
Timeline:
* 1992 - Born to Jacob and Gabi Kane who were both active duty military with a twin sister, Beth. Her early life consisted moving around from base to base with her family.
* 2004 - Kate, her mother and her sister are kidnapped by terrorists. Her father rescues her, but only barely. Her mother and sister are both dead, and Kate is traumitized by seeing their bodies. Jacob tried to be as supportive as he could, and Kate takes strength from that. Fueling her grief and her rage over the loss into her studies.
* 2010 - Kate graduates high school and is accepted into West Point as a cadet. Her first years there are successful and she earns commondations for Air Assault School and US Army Airborne School, but she also entered into a relationship with another student, a female student.
* 2013 - Kate is expelled from West Point for her relationship.
* 2013 - 2014 - Kate travels around the world and enters into various relationships and self-medicates.
* 2014 - Kate returns to Gotham and enrolls into a local university to finish her education.
* 2015 - While out on a wild night about town, Kate is pulled over by a female cop. Using her charm, she woo's the officer into a date to forgive the ticket. Later that night she is attacked by a mugger. Using her skills, she fought back and would have killed the guy without a surprise visit Batman. Inspired by the Bat and invigorated by the fight, Kate swears she will become a vigilante.
* 2015 - 2019 - Kate buys black market military equipment and other gear and takes to the street to fight crime. Eventually her father finds out, and while he is originally upset with this path, Jacob calls his friends and forces Kate to undergo a rigorous training regiment with his speical forces comrades.
* 2019 - Present - Kate emerges as Batwoman, taking inspiration from the Bat. While she spends time working on her own business ventures, and wining and dining amongst high society when it's required, her true calling is to fight crime on the streets of Gotham.

Personality
Hopeless Flirt:
Kate Kane, the woman, loves to flirt with women she finds attractive. Especially those she believes can help further along her own plans and goals. There is zero shame there.
Out:
Kate Kane is open about her sexuality and while some of the more conservative elements of Gotham's social heirarchy might not approve, she doesn't care.
Party Girl:
As the socialite Kate Kane, she'll go out to clubs and social gatherings to party and drink, to flirt and pick up a date for the evening, or to even play the guitar. This is her public face and it would be the real Kate if so many other things didn't happen in her life.
Personal Code:
Batwoman's code isn't quite as stringent as Batman's code. She doesn't go around killing, as that could bring a lot of heat onto the Bat Family. Because of others code, she doesn't go around with a gun to fight crime, but she also isn't -against- using one if the situation calls for it. Beat criminals to a point where they need to spend some time at the prison hospital? Yep, it's good stress relief. Sacrifice innocents? No. The symbol of the bat should be something that the law-abiding citizens of Gotham should look to. Only those who hurt others should fear it.
Snarky:
Not one for banter in a fight, Batwoman is definitely someone who will take the opportunity to use some snark to get under others skin.
Steadfast:
Kate and Batwoman are both steadfastly intent on the mission of fighting crime. Kate may go to parties and take a day here or there to strum her guitar, it's usually to heal and rest so she can get back out on the streets more quickly.

Kate's power, is if there is one, is to be extremely stubborn. She will not back off from an enemy, and she can even shrug off some psychic attacks. Not as successful against toxins and drugs (see Weakness).

The day job, and what she majored in. Kate is able to run and manage a business with the best of them.
Demolitions:
Another skill thanks to Dad and his SpecOps buddies. Sometimes the best way to bring down a building filled with bad guys is to bring down the building.

Loves to ride her motorcycle.
Gadgetry:
Kate is able to tinker with mechanical and electronic gadgets, comes in handy to make new toys.

Kate is highly intelligent and graduated at the top of her classes in high school and college in addition to a lot of training that she has received over the years.

Stealth:
Thanks to special forces training, Kate is able to move around without being detected by other normal humans. She's even snuck onto military installations without raising an alarm.

Thanks to her training, Kate is an expert survivalist. She can be off the grid for weeks without surfacing. Really helpful for long-term operations.
Tactics:
Another skill developed at West Point, Kate is able to formulate battle plans for small group engagements.

Kate is an expert tracker, which is something she picked up from her Dad's buddies.
Weaponry:
Kate is a master with various weapons, including staves, swords, knives, throwing weapons, and guns. Yeah, Batman may have a problem shooting someone. Kate does not. Thanks Dad.

Batarangs:
Foldable versions that are instead shaped like two-hinged claws. Kate sometimes calls them thorns.
Batsuit:
A protective suit of armor that helps protect Kate from taking damage from melee combat, and from gunshots. Molded to fit her form.
Cryo-Baton:
Kate's battlestaff, a fun alternative from punching people.
Fear Toxins:
Kate keeps a few canisters in her gauntlets.
Money:
Kate and her family are extremely wealthy. We all know how money is the truest superpower.
Python Coil:
A fun weapon that's used to constrict and cut victims who struggle. Crime doesn't pay, now stop struggling.

Addictive Tendencies:
Kate has a history with drugs and alcohol, a history that sometimes flares up from time to time in ways that have the potential of being self-destructive by her engaging in risky behavior.
Chronic Loner:
Losing her mom and sister at a young age has had a major impact on Kate. She's been very self-reliant which has led to her being an introvert. Often spending time off on her own either as Kate or Batwoman, these periods will lead to a need to spend time with someone, anyone, which then leads to encounters that sometimes puts her secret life from becoming known.
Low Drug Tolerance:
Kate is susceptible to any agent or toxin that incapacitates or causes hallucinations. Even though she has weathered a number of attacks in the past, she has never built any sort of tolerance or resistence to them.
Mortal Human:
Kate may be the peak of what a human is, but she is still human. She can die and sustain terrible injuries far easier than other heroes.
Secret Identity:
Kate keeps her lives as Kate and Batwoman separate, especially considering that becoming known as the Batwoman will not only impact her, but impact other members of the Bat Family. If one gets known, likely many of them will become known.
