*Born in feudal Japan a member of the Foot Clan Unwittingly groomed by goddess Kitsune to be a host for The Dragon in hopes of exterminating humanity.
*Rose through the ranks with determination, skill, and assistance of best friend.
*Kills father after being convinced he had been betrayed in a past life. Rises further in rank as a result. Clan becomes far more blood thirsty.
*Ordered to kill his best friend to prove his loyalty to the clan or die.
*Hunts down his best friend, his wife, and children, and kills them all.
*Marries Kitsune unaware she was the witch in human form and they have children.

Aggression:
Shredder holds a highly aggressive personality willing to go on the offensive for even the smallest of slights. A firm believer of 'one of ours in the hospital two of yours in the morgue'

Confident:
Shredder is sometimes overconfident in his abilities. He knows that he is destined for great things and returns from the grave have left him feeling unstoppable. Any loss is merely a setback on his path to total domination.

Iron Will:
Shredder, while he is not a mentalist, has incredible resistance to mind control. His entire being is focused on the freedom of his choice, and even powerful psionics may find it is much easier to deceive him into acting the way they desire rather than directly attempt to control him. While high end telepaths may be able to achieve control, they will have to continually fight against his personal mental resistance to break free, and he would never simply submit after a time. He has little defense to other mental assaults beyond a disciplined mine.

Kuji-Kiri:
In tandem with Hamato Yoshi, Shredder is the keeper of a potent kuji-kiri ("nine cuts") method. The cuts are spiritual maneuvers, founded on deep meditation; they are performed through hand gestures, and the gestures are necessary for executing them, but without the deep spiritual training and extensive meditation on the gestures (mudra) and associated sounds (mantra) the gestures themselves are meaningless. As the maneuvers orient the Chi in his body, if he is unable to perform the hand motions, he is unable to perform the cut.

These Kuji-kiri have great power, but even with Shredder's great ambition, he uses them sparingly and most often outside the view of others. These are very sacred (and potentially very dangerous) techniques.

The cuts are as follows:

1. Rin: This cut allows Shredder to clear his mind and calm his emotions, it is passively active most of the time due to his nature, making him very difficult to frighten.

2. Pyo: Shredder enters a meditative state which fortifies him against outside influences and drugs, but it reduces his ability to otherwise act. He can defend and re-direct attacks aimed at him, but he is unable to aggresively attack.

3. Toh: Shredder sees the harmony of dance in battle. He is better able to anticipate and counter the attacks of multiple foes. This cut passively gives his soldiers a sliver of the same perceptiveness.

4. Sha: Another trance ability. Shredder can accelerate the rate at which his body heals, and heals more completely than most humans. This cut bolsters his body's natural healing but does not go beyond it. Shredder does not have the empathy to use it to heal others.

5. Kai: This form grants premonitions of danger. However as the form is sacred to Inari, Kitsune (who does not wish to attract Inari's attention) forbids Shredder its use.

6. Jin: Shredder enters a trance and can create a psychic bridge between his mind and another's. This can be resisted by those who have strong mental fortitude, but when it is formed both he and the other person know when the other is speaking absolute truth.

7 Retsu: Shredder can physically node-step through the Astral Plane and emerge in a different point in reality. He can take only himself and has no special protections or safety while travelling.

8. Zai: Shredder can use this cut to create simple illusions. These are used most effectively to disguise his movement or distract an enemy. This cut makes it easier for Shredder to discern other illusions from reality.

9. Zen: Shredder and Master Splinter share the power of the cuts in a yin-yang dichotomy. The more Shredder uses the cuts, the more power he confers upon Shredder (and vise-versa).

Physiology:
Shredder has mutated to be able to hold his own against even 4 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. His reflexes, strength and even durability at the peak of human potential.

Exceptional Leader:
Shredder has the ability to convince people to follow him to hell and back again time and time again. Even in the face of repeated defeats he can still bring people around to his side and convince them that victory is not simply acheiveable but inevitable.

Martial Arts Master:
Shredder is a world class martial arts master with hundreds of years spent honing his trade in the afterlife against some of the greatest fighters to have ever died in his attempted conquest of the world beyond life. He has trained with some of the greatest minds in order to fight on the level of the best of the best.

As he has fought with and against with the absolute greatest fighters in history, and given that he's had hundreds of years of experience, Saki has not only had opportunity to see the epitome of every form of martial art, but has had the time to adapt his own style to incorporate the most effective of disciplines from each form to create his own exceedingly brutal and efficient form of fighting style, a true one of a kind. Other masters of martial arts who may be familiar with them would be able to identify the other forms in his martial arts with ease, but the movements that adapt them to one another are his own.

Notable Qualities:
Blind-fighting: Shredder does not need to be able to see, smell, or hear his enemy to fight them. He's able to sense the movements to react and combat them even if he is stripped of these senses.
Chi attacks: Utilizing some mystical arts, Shredder can use his chi to empower a strike, creating a burning fist, electrical discharge, penetrating concussive force, or other such chi based maneuvers.
Chi Armor: Using chi strategies, he can also armor himself, making him able to weather or redirect strikes that should be too powerful for a mortal man to defend against. Examples might be the ability to block a sword with his bare hand, catch a bullet, or use his energy to redirect the force of a punch from someone with superhuman strength.

Master of Stealth:
Shredder is a master of the Arts of Ninjitsu and as a part of said art remaining, and moving unscene. He knows the secrets of the traceless walk, of moving silently in the dead of night and tracking his target. It is one of his deadliest and most dangerous skills.

Olympic Athlete:
Shredder could easily compete and place in any olympic challenge due to his intense training and innate mutant ability.

Dojos:
A series of Dojo's throughout New York City These businesses function as a front for Foot Clan recruitment and a funnel for illicit funds gained through Shredders criminal activities.

Donations:
One of the benefits of The Foot clan's cult like fanatacism is the constant stream of donations from his followers which combined with criminal efforts allows Shredder to finance his various evil schemes. He always seems able to scrape together just enough finances for his next evil plot.

Mutants:
Shredder has mutated a number of his followers with stolen mutagen. He has a limitless supply of followers, but not of mutagen, and so creating more is difficult. As a result, he's very sparing with the creation of more. Still, there are a number that serve him, and are usually used when there is a need for some higher manpower in a situation.

Nynpp:
This Nuclear Powerplant was left completely abandoned after the attack in 2012. The Foot clan discovered it buried beneath rubble and set up shop in the massive now underground complex building for themselves the perfect hideaway for their misbegotten gains. It also provides the perfect source of nuclear material for the clans mutagenic experiments.

The Foot:
A global organization of Ninja. The sheer volume of membership in The Foot Clan makes up for its often low level of average training. While there are select members which are incredibly well trained in martial arts and the art of ninjitsu and assassination a majority of the membership are canon fodder recruited off the streets, taken from orphanages, schools or broken out of juvenile detention centers to be trained as teenage soldiers.

The Foot Clan has eyes and ears all across the world making them a dangerous threat.

The Suit:
Built mainly for absorbing blunt force trauma and stab impacts this armor is meant primarily for melee combat in Japan. However a number of modernization techniques have allowed it to qualify under type IV ballistic armor. The cape is also highly fashionable able to slow the descent of the user.

Ego:
Shredder is ALWAYS confident of his victory, and believes it is assured. He doesn't even consider the possibility of defeat or that he could be outwitted. This often leaves him open for attack from angles that he has not fully considered.

Immutable:
It's very difficult to change Shredder's focus. This can be good for him at times because he isn't distracted, but it can work against him as well. When he has a goal in mind, he may be convinced to change approaches to that goal, but he has trouble letting go of an objective until it's accomplished. When his enemies discover what he wants, it can make his plans more predictable, because he isn't going to abandon it.

Over-Reaching:
Despite his incredible skill, and immortality through Kitsune's magic, Shredder is, in fact, not a god. He has aspirations that can put him in the crosshairs of people with much more power than his own, a fact that his overconfidence does not help, for he is not concerned with the ire of even the most powerful of heroes.
