Profile
Beginning life as part of an unwanted litter, to training for agility trials to where she ended up in mutation, a second life in the Foot Clan, Kainashi (an adopted name from the phrase for an unwanted or useless item) was used for brute strength and slave labor within the Foot previous to her rescue. Kind-hearted, if dim-witted, this loyal canine bears both her heart on her sleeve and the scars of her former life on her body, but lets neither stand in the way of trying her hardest to live her life. With absolute loyalty to her friends, this agile ninja-in-training fights for truth, justice, and a larger share of hamburgers at dinner.
Timeline
Timeline:
*2011: Born from an accidental litter of puppies. *2012: Agility training begins. Dubbed "Pippilu Cutsey-Toes" for her white toes on her hind feet. Adopted by trainer.
*2013:First agility competition, places third.
*2014: Places first in a Bully Breed Agility competition.
*2014: Trainer dies. Obtained by Foot Clan. Mutation occurs.
*2015: Education, initial training, Found to be lacking in mental capacity
*Early 2016: Secondary mutation initiated. Made up for lack of mental capacity by developing super strength. Referred to as 'Dog'
*Late 2016: Training intensifies. Used as training practice by Foot soldiers of low rank.
*2017: First encounter with other Foot mutants.
*Late 2018: Training suspended. Continued use as 'practice fodder'. Given name Kainashi by one of her trainers, used to move heavy equipment.

*March 2020: Rescued from Foot Clan
2020-2021: Briefly joined Clan Hamato, associated freely with the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'. Follows and takes lessons from Alopex.
*2021. Alopex leaves to pursue the Northern Lab. Kai attempts to follow afterwards, but is captured by Null in order to try and obtain information regarding the whereabouts of her companions..
*Null attempts to replicate Kainashi's super strength mutation and fails. Implants a control chip and debarks Kai.
*2022: Kainashi is used for security around Null projects against her will.

Personality
Fear of Abandonment:
From her last memories of her old life and her trainer not coming home, to being dropped off at the pound, to going to the 'Place of Fear' and then subsequent poor treatment, part of Kai's absolute loyalty is that she is scared of being abandoned again -- though her friend and trainer Alopex is the only one to have come back for her. She's loathe to do anything to risk being left behind.
Kind-Hearted:
Kai might not be the sharpest cookie in the lightbulb drawer, her scarred up muzzle and shoulders don't exactly lend to the appearance, and her strength might get ahead of her sometimes, but she has a great deal of kindness and curiosity about the world around her now that she's able to experience it. She tries to be gentle with most everything less tough than her, and is a thousand percent more careful with living things than she is with non-living things. Slights are something that are meant to be made up at the earliest opportunity, and she tries to have something good to say about most everyone. She has a particular soft spot for kids, and would work extra hard to protect the younger members of society from those who'd hurt them.
Loyalty:
Once you have her friendship (or you're being introduced by someone who does) she's faithful to a fault, and often displays a desire to be helpful -- but she is also incredibly forgiving as a person. Though she does not feel any lack of loyalty to the Foot (who had dismissed her due to 'doubtful mental capacity' and lack of aggression). It takes a serious crack in her faith in someone to cause her to stop her trust. The one person who she trusts the most is her rescuer, Alopex, and in her that trust is Absolute.
Not the Brains...:
Kainashi is assuredly the brawn of any operation. Between her illiteracy and her lack of attention it's difficult to teach her anything that doesn't require some physical aspect of life. She prefers rough-and-tumble horseplay over the more delicate movements of some of her lessons, but she tries her hardest to both understand and practice. Just... don't expect her to list off the capitals of the states any time soon. Kai does have a distinct lack of forethought; she's the type to barge into situations without considering the full affect of her presence and outcome, attempt maneuvers that she is ill-suited to do (do not ever expect her to master delicate bead work, it just won't happen), she'll laugh at jokes that fly over her head and will mix metaphors more than Yogi Berra, sometimes to the confusion of others. She has a decent enough memory, though it might take a minute to pull more complicated thoughts out of her.

Powers
Mutant Dog:
Kainashi has all the abilities of a regular dog (enhanced sense of smell, capable of tracking by scent, enhanced hearing) but human intelligence and stature. She has a background in agility training and has greater-than-human stamina and speed. She received extra training within the Foot Clan to track others by scent, and has a particular strong instinct for it.
The Brawn:
Kainashi has an additional, random mutation of super strength with a maximum lift of five tons. Her muscles have developed a mutative fiber, which strengthens both muscle tissue and her bone structure to survive the additional stressors of force from heavy lifts -- and enables her to be particularly tenacious when taking hits.
Skills
Agility Training:
Agility training has left Kainashi with plenty of skill to run, jump, crawl through and weave around. She has no problem getting around anywhere, climbing over anything with an incline, up and down ladders, and long-jump over alleyways. She has a natural sense of balance accentuated by her tail and previous training as an agility dog.
Languages:
Pippi can understand spoken English, a smattering of Spanish, and Japanese, though she can't speak Japanese and can read in none of the languages she understands.
Martial Arts:
Kai has been engaging in intense, every-day training in a blend of martial arts combing boxing, aikido and ninjistu on and off for three years. Though still a neophyte, these skills help to control her strength and focus her blows and set up a foundation for further training. She can throw punches with some skill, sidestep blows from the common rabble with ease, and if she gets her hands on someone, she's always keen to see how far she can throw them.
Stealth... Kinda.:
Kainashi is not precisely the best ninja to ever stumble out of the Foot Clan, but with her natural agility and her keen ears she's known to move silently when needed.
Weaponry:
Kainashi has basic training in a variety of knives, staves and swordplay and beginner's experience with throwing knives - provided the target's within 10 feet, she can hit accurately within a foot with the pointy end -- though if she hits with the dull end, super strength is bound to do some work. She still favors her super strength and brute force as a weapon and relies on other weaponry as back-up or to take an enemy by surprise. She's also got a bite to match her bark.

Weaknesses
Clumsy:
Though super strong and capable of Herculean feats, Kainashi still has to learn fine tuned control of her strength, sometimes even seeming to forget that she has it, resulting in her using too much strength for small tasks (slapping a mosquito on someone's arm) and far too much strength for medium tasks (moving a fridge a few inches to clean behind it, vs. across the household through a wall). She also tends to forget her size, like trying to fit into someplace that really is too small, and her weight -- typically when tackling someone.
Debarked:
Kainashi has suffered under surgery to debark her, effectively removing her voice surgically.
Dog's Life:
Kainashi is a mutant dog, and it would be a hard sell to see her as anything close to a human! Her ears and tail give off obvious emotional cues, she has fur, digitigrade legs, and issues with adapting to very warm situations -- no sweat means in a hot room, she'd be panting!
Illiterate:
Kainashi is dyslexic and dyscalculic to the point of illiteracy; letters and numbers don't make a lick of sense to her and signs without some sort of graphic or notable shape are meaningless. She relies on others to tell her what to do when there is no infographic.
Sensory Overload:
Being canine, Kai has a fine tuned sense of smell and hearing. It's easy to overload her hearing with high pitched or sudden loud sounds, rendering her motionless as she tries to cover her ears and could be driven from an area given a bad enough smell or anything that attacks olfactory (like pepper spray, mace) will affect her sense of smell and tracking ability for longer than a human.
