Ruth Aldine is a seeker of something she can't find. Perhaps it's her fractured mind she's hoping to rebuild, or at least to find the confidence to work with what she has and to grow. To be more than what the world sees of her, a mutant. A mutant who's too damn helpless to be on her own, and too simple to understand how the world really works.

Timeline:
2001: Ruth Aldine is born in North Carolina. A week later, her father left the family due to her obvious mutation.
2006: Ruth's mother was murdered by her brother.
2007: Ruth was sent to live with her aunt in Prospect Plains, New Jersey.
2013: While attending the execution of her brother; his powers suddenly manifested just before death and siphoned half of hers. Her mind has been rendered broken and incomplete.
2014: Unable to deal with the accident during the execution, her aunt decides to homeschool Ruth for the time being. In which Ruth falls severly behind in her studies.
2019: Her Aunt is contacted by Xaviers Institute, and Ruth is soon enrolled.
2020: School is great.. they say.. meet new friends.. they say. So far, Ruth has no friends. At least school is interesting.

Personality

Intrusive:
Ruth can't help herself when it comes to reading thoughts. This is quite possibly why no one likes to really be around her. She's intrusive in the fact that she'll blurt out anything that comes from others minds about what they're wondering, or accidentally spill secrets and deep thoughts.

Loner:
Due to her personality, she covets the personality of a loner. Most others see her as a big mouth, a tattletale, so it calls for people to stay away from her. Although she wishes for more friends, this is something that she can't help, and it's what she's used to.

Meek:
Ruth has had a very hard upbringing, which makes her a meek character. She's always unfailingly polite; using words like 'sorry' and 'thank you' even though there's nothing to be sorry for or thankful for. There's also shyness there, which leads her to never really talk about herself. And with her meekness she's able to blend into the backgroud and often times go sight-unseen.

Astral Projection:
As a means of getting away from her own life, Ruth can astral project into another plane. She hasn't learned to travel over great distances, but she can freely wander and create objects around her that mimic a safe space, as well as objects to outfit them with.

Seer:
Ruth is generally a seer, although her powers are extremely mild:

Psychometry - She can receive information or a history of a person/object through touch.

Precognition - She's able to see events destined to happen in the future, and aid in preventing or ensuring that it'll happen which appears as dreams.

Retrocognition - She can see events as they happened in the past.

Clairvoyance - She can see into far off places and present events and her surroundings. With clairvoyance, Ruth is able to walk/see unassisted with tools as this current power is always on by default. However, other aspects as far-seeing of this gift is not completely developed just yet.

All listed powers, with the slight exception of clairvoyance are basic and often times not work as she intends or tries to command.

Telekinesis:
Ruth has an undeveloped form of telekinesis. She can move objects that weigh no more than what she can lift, which is close to thirty pounds. She can propel them at a short distance (5ft), and lift them no higher than her own height.

Telepathy:
Ruth is able to read minds and dreams while others sleep. She can also read the minds of other sentient beings that are not hindered by the obvious blocks that prevent mind reading. She can transfer information from one mind to another without use of electronics or written word. She can also defend her own mind against telepathic attacks, especially if the telepath if not stronger than her. She can only defend herself for now, and she can also cloak herself and so far. She's yet to learn the full strength of her telepathic abilities, as of now, it would put her skill level just below adept.

Stealth:
Due to her meek demeanor, Ruth has made going unnoticed an art. She's like the picasso of being invisible, able to slip in and out of places unnoticed, eavesdrop on conversations, and get by others spacial awareness just by her physicality alone.

Survival:
Ruth is skilled at small scale survival tactics. Due to her powers that are usually regulated to herself, she's able to avoid danger when need be (not large scale danger), find a way to feed herself, house herself temporarily. Ruth could become a street rat due to the lack of her resources, but thankfully it hasn't been resorted to that yet.

Home Away From Home:
The only resource Ruth has is an aunt, the one who raised her after her father left and mother was murdered. It's a home away from home in Jersey, a quiet place for her to get away, relax and be herself.

Weaknesses

Battle Ready:
This is something that Ruth is not. She's yet to receive formal training of her powers, and what she does know and can somewhat control is utterly useless in a battle of fisticuffs.

Obvious Mutation:
Ruth is not a passing mutant. She is one of the many who is very, unapologetically, mutant. Where her eyes would have been, flesh has been molded over. There are indentations that hint of where the eyes would have been, clearly outlines of her skull or eye socket. She also has no tear ducts and cannot cry. No matter how she tries to hide the fact that she doesn't have eyes, it'll just make her seem even more weirder.

Resources:
The only resource Ruth has is her aunt, who doesn't have a lot of money. Ruth, if she were to strike out on her own, would struggle to thrive, and lets be honest. She's too nice/honest/trustworthy to be a criminal to make ends meet.
