Character Info
Profile
A world (possibly galaxy) famous adventurer and hero with the power to turn herself and those around her invisible; and the ability to project invisible force fields both defensively and offensively. She is the CEO of Fantastic Four Inc, and has been an active hero for decades, albeit more of the 'misadventure' and 'world-threat-defense' sort, rather than a patrolling crime fighter. She was something of a poster girl for superheroines, being one of the first, and certainly the post public in her day. She is a mother of two.
Timeline
Timeline:
1967: Born to the famous surgeon Franklin Storm and his wife Mary
1981: Franklin hosts young genius Reed Richards at his home during his education. Susan becomes infatuated with him, but is too young to pursue her feelings.
1986: Susan's parents are involved in a car crash that claims Mary's life, despite Franklin's efforts to save her. Franklin gradually succumbs to alcoholism to cope. Susan pursues an education in business after High School.
1988: Falling into gambling debt, Franklin confronts a loan shark. Things turn violent, and the loan shark is accidentally killed in the struggle. Franklin is sentenced to twenty years for murder, and Susan becomes the legal guardian of her young brother Johnny Storm. Susan drops out of college and gets work as a lab assisstant to support them, where she finds herself working with Reed Richards.
1989: Supporting Reed's desperate attempt to save his rocket project, Susan and her brother join Reed and pilot Ben Grimm on a brief journey into space where they are bombarded with Cosmic Rays and crash land back on Earth. The quickly discover they have been mutated with superhuman abilities. At Reed's urging, they form the Fantastic Four, based out of the Baxter Building. They quickly becom icons for their heroic efforts to protect humanity, and wealthy with the patents of Reed's inventions. Susan handles most of the business side, and designs 'uniforms' for them; both for style and strong branding.
1990: Reed's rival - and Latverian dictator - Doctor Doom attempts an ultimately unsuccessful siege on the Baxter Building.
1991-2000: During the course of many adventures, heroics, and (mostly) unwanted suitors, Susan marries Reed Richards and bears him a son named Franklin. The birth is difficult and dangerous, but ultimately successful.
2002: Susan again becomes pregnant, but complications from both parents mutated state give her and the child grim prospects for survival. Desperate, Reed solicits the aid of Doctor Doom, whose efforts result in the successful birth of Susan's daughter. Doom's demanded price is that the child be named Valeria.
2010: Susan takes part in a successful joint effort to fight off an alen invasion lead by General Zod and Annihilus.
2013: The Baxter Building is destroyed. Four Freedoms Plaza is developed and becomes the new home for the Fantastic Four.
2017: Susan aids in an unsuccessful joint effort to stop the alien monster known as Doomsday.

Personality
The Invisible Mom:
Though once lacking in confidence, Susan has proven herself a courageous and competent adventurer, made moreso with decades of experience under her belt. Though time and experience has beaten a lot of the softness out of her, she comes off as warm, gentle, good humored, and a bit cute. Under the surface, however, threats to her world, her family, and especially her children can dig up a fierce, cold, and borderline merciless side of her personality that can put the fear of god into powerful killers. Those who try to take advantage of her quickly find she has no patience for their antics, and often regret the effort.
She is ultimately a kind soul and a doting mother, however, and time has done little to wear down her zest for life, love of discovery, and adoration of her family.
Reed could probably stand to get a little less wrapped up in science sometimes, though.
Character Sheet
Powers
Force Field:
With effort, Susan can project invisible force fields whose shape and purpose are limited largely by her imagination. She can shape them into objects and blast them at others; throwing anything from a force wall to a brick, to conical spikes at her enemies.
Barriers can be erected to protect herself and others. The more force that impacts the shield, the greater toll it takes on Susan before she must drop it. She can somewhat mitigate this by erecting dense layers of forcefields. But the larger and denser she makes one, and the longer she tries to sustain it, the more Susan physically exhausts herself to the point of possibly fainting.
In addition to blocking physical objects and energy attacks, Sue's force fields have proven capable of stopping intangible beings from passing through. They also can block telepathy and telekinetic attacks.
Susan can control the texture of the force fields from rigid to soft, such as to create a cushion to land on. She can also vary them from invisible to opaque to allow different bands of light through or not. She can adjust the permeability, allowing air to pass through so individuals within can breathe or alternately cut off the flow of oxygen or other gases through them.
It's also possible for Sue to levitate herself and others in the air by erecting and raising an invisible platform beneath them. The concentration required limits her top speed of travel to about 25 miles per hour, and maintaining it beyond an hour or two becomes a struggle.
Invisibility:
Susan can render herself completely invisible to the naked eye, and is capable of rendering other people and objects around her invisible within a certain range. She is still capable of seeing things she herself has turned invisible, however, albeit she sees them in muted colors. She is also capable of turn invisible objects visible within a certain range; though it's a more difficult effort.
Skills
Business:
Though her education wasn't formally finished, Susan is a natural in regards to the operating of a business, PR, and branding. Albeit she's constructed Fantastic Four Incorporated to the point where she is no longer needed for most of the arduous day-to-day, but now that her children have grown she's dipping further back into it.
Combat:
Susan has picked up some elementary self-defense skills in terms of close quarters - and has a surprisingly effective right hook! - but she's no ninja. That said, she's capable of being an absolute terror with her powers.
Resources
Fantastic Four:
Susan is a member of the Fantastic Four, and can reliably call on its members and their resources - including the wide variety of technological wonders at their disposal - to aid her if need be.
Wealth:
Between Reed's inventions, and Susan's business acumen, the Richards family and associates have become very wealthy; and while a lot of it gets put back into Reed's research, it's a resource that can usually be drawn upon when needed.
Weaknesses
Age:
Susan isn't getting any younger and while she isn't using a walker just yet, she's never gonna be any more physically capable than she is right now. What affect that may ultimately have on her powers is yet unclear.
Public Identity:
Susan's idea is public, and for the most part so is her address. While it is, perhaps, one of the most well defended places in New York, it doesn't remove the target on her back that has only grown over decades of defending earth from threats local, extraterrestrial, and extradimensional.
