Xaviers School for the Gifted

Xavier's School for the Gifted was founded on the 1st of January, 1999. It is located in Westchester, New York, about eighty miles north-east of New York City. Officially it is n private preparatory school for exceptional students, offering education through 12th grade and into college advanced placement.

In reality Xavier's School for the Gifted is a home for metahumans to hone both their unique talents and their minds, in an environment monitored and supervised by other metahumans. After the Johnson-Kinsey Mutant Felon Relocation Act in 2017, the population at Xavier's quadrupled almost overnight.

Less than a year later, the 'First Class' of Xavier graduates took to the field to use their metahuman talents in the fight for equality. This paramilitary team of field operatives have been dubbed the "X-Men" by the metahuman community aware of their existence, though are as much rumor as reality for most mutants at this point.

Overview

There are currently three 'classes' at Xavier's, sorted into informal social groups.

The First Class is the original gang of graduates, including Jean Grey and Scott Summers. Jean is the youngest, at 28 years old.

'Gen-X' includes mutants now in their early to mid-twenties. Most of them have graduated academically and stay on as teachers or coaches. Some live in the area and stay available for missions.

'New Mutants' include the students from around 15-21 years of age. Many of them are still enrolled scholastically full time, which does very little to keep them from getting into youthful hijinks.

The much-smaller Pacific Coast Institute is administered by a Xavier graduate and serves the metahuman population on the west side of the United States.

Historical Timeline

2020:

• 2020-05-01: Four of the Kinney clone-sisters escape Alchemax, Gabby Kinney among them. The others have died or sacrificed themselves to ensure they can escape. Gabby and Bellona end up at Xavier’s.
• 2020-04-01: Alison Blaire accepts the offer made years earlier for training and a solid home base and joins Xaviers.
• 2020-04-01: Ellie joins Xaviers.
• 2020-04-01: Joshua Foley joins Xaviers
• 2020-04-01: Marie-Ange Colbert joins Xaviers.
• 2020-03-01: David Allyene returns to Xavier's to develop his skills and his social ethic.
• 2020-02-19: Douglas Ramsey resurrected by unknown forces to an unknown purpose, with a techno-organic prosthetic arm.
• 2020-01-13: Douglas Ramsey killed during Genosha Burns
• 2020-02-13: Genosha destroyed in Genosh Burns. Millions of mutants die. The X-Men arrive too late - they find only a handful of survivors.

2019

• 2019-09-01 : James Proudstar graduates from the High School portion of Xavier's School. He returns home to find that his tribe has been murdered in an attack by unknown assailants.
• 2019-08-01: Betsy Braddock joins the X-men.
• 2019-07-01: Illyana Rasputina reincarnates (again). Resumes studies and seeks magical tutelage.
• 2019-06-01: Finally now, Hank McCoy has returned to the X-men. He is doing research at the school, but is sometimes lassoed into teaching, though it is his secondary priority.
• 2019-05-01: * May 2019: Scott and other veterans get teaching degrees. Xavier school begins to expand as a response to a surge of thousands of metahumans manifesting powers now on a monthly basis.
• 2019-04-01: Alex Summers is attacked by his mentor, DR. Ahmet Abdol. The battle breaks the genetic lock placed on Alex's powers, revealing him as a mutant as his power erupts once more, drawing the attention of Professor Xavier and the X-Men.
• 2019-03-01: Charles Xavier returns from space perfectly fine and not dead.

2018

• 2018-01-16: Tabitha Smith leaves for Genosha.
• 2018-02-01: Hank McCoy joins the Avengers for a time as a public figure. He acts as their spokesman on several occasions.
• 2018-04-01: Team Excalibur founded in the UK.
• 2018-04-13:Illyana Rasputina joins New Mutants.
• 2018-04-15: Lorna Dane named heir to the throne of Genosha.
• 2018-05-20: Jean Grey graduates from college and resumes helping Professor Xavier at the school while preparing for post-graduate work.
• 2018-07-1: Remy LaBeau is tasked by Mr. Sinister to assemble a group of mercenaries for an attack on a mutant colony beneath Manhattan known as the Morlocks. Remy attempts to stop them, but the massacre still happens and Remy is gravely wounded in the process. The Marauders are reviled for their attack but Remy's involvement remains a secret.
• 2018-07-06: The Mutant Massacre - Most of the Morlocks are killed. Many X-Men are seriously injured. Anti-Mutant hysteria is at an all-time high.
• 2018-09-04: Mystique unleashes Rogue on Carol Danvers at the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. A fight ensues and ends with Rogue throwing Carol off of the Golden Gate Bridge down into the waters below. Carol Danvers slips into a coma; Rogue goes on the run.

2017

• 2017-10-02: Days of Future Past - Thwarted attempt on Senator Robert Kelly's life. Recognizing Rachel Summers her child from the future, Jean gives the Phoenix Force over to her to help. Jean still has residual traces of its power.
• 2017-10-01: Charles Xavier is presumed Dead following events of Days of Future Past; Taken by Shi'ar Empire
• 2017-08-01: Stavros contacted, offered enrollment at Xavier School
• 2017-08-01: Julian Keller joins Xaviers.
• 2017-08-01: Sam Guthrie joins Xaviers
• 2017-08-01: Jubilee is brought to Xaviers.
• 2017-08-01: Illyana returns from Limbo. Enters Xavier's School and learns to be a real girl.
• 2017-06-01: Illyana Rasputina abducted to Limbo by the sorcerer Belasco. 10 years pass in ten minutes. (Age 7-17) In the dimension's accelerated timestream, she learns black magic under Belasco's tutelage. Alternate universe versions of heroes teach her mutant ability controlling teleportation disks and white magic. She banishes Belasco and takes the rulership of Limbo.
• 2017-04-01: Remy LaBeau is approached by Mr. Sinister who helps him control his powers in exchange for future services.

2016

• 2016-08-01: David Allyene is enrolled in Xavier's.
• 2016-01-01: Piotr Rasputin noticed by Professor Xavier and joins the X-Men
• 2016-01-01: Rogue leaves her Aunt's house at age 14 and falls in with Mystique and the Brotherhood of Mutants.
• 2016-07-01: Magento awakens Exodus with the Acolytes and accepts his fealty.
• 2016-03-01: Lorna joins Magento in Genosha
• 2016-03-01: James Proudstar leaves the reservation to attack Xavier. While he succeeds in briefly capturing him and threatens to kill him over John's death, the X-Men arrive and subdue him, and he learns the truth behind his brother's death. James comes to realize that Xavier was not at fault. To honor him, and to learn more from people that fought alongside him, he agrees to attend Xavier's school.
• 2016-01-01: Ellie is one of the mutates to successfully go through the Reverse Mutate Process devised by Magneto's Government to try and return mutates into their former state, as independently thinking mutants with free will.
• 2016-08-01: Tabby joins Xaviers.
• 2016-06-01 Emma Frost joins the Hellfire Club's Inner Circle as a Pawn.
• 2016-01-01: Donald Pierce founds the Reavers: humans with cybernetic enhancements to combat mutants.
• 2016-02-02: Douglas Ramsey meets Warlock during the Sentinel Invasion, is invited to join Xavier's school.

2015

• 2015-11-01: Wild Sentinel program begins, US government hires Magistrates from the fallen Genosha to help build them and update their mutant tracking, destroying, and control tech.
• 2015-10-01: The missing X-Men return from their space battles with The Brood.
• 2015-09-01: Magneto installed as ruler of Genosha after fighting against the mutant slavers there. He installs Mystique as the new leader of the Brotherhood and moves them to be his deniable Black Ops team.
• 2015-08-01: Moira MacTaggart sends Rahne Sinclair to the United States to her friend Charles Xavier, to be schooled by him in the use of her powers. It is here where she meets and eventually becomes friends with others like her, collectively known as the New Mutants.
• 2015-08-01: Roberto da Costa, Kitty Pryde, and Dani Moonstar are recruited to Xavier's School.
• 2015-04-01: The X-Men are taken to space and have to fight The Brood. They spend six months away from Earth. Scott finds out his father is alive. Xavier forms the New Mutants thinking the X-men are dead. A mission into space to fight the Brood results in Jean Grey merging with the Phoenix Force to save her life. The Phoenix commits ultimate genocide against The Brood. Kitty Pryde gets Lockheed.
• 2015-01-01: Lorna discovers she's Magneto's daughter.
