Colossus is a long standing member of the X-Men, loyal friend, teammate, comrade, and protective older brother of Magik. He sees himself as the team brick, to stand against all that oppose Xavier's dream and may serve to threaten innocent lives. Colossus has been away for the last few months, lost in some magical cave.

Timeline-01:
1995: Born in Russia, the second child to Nikolai and Alexandra.
2014: First displayed his powers when he saved his younger sister, Illyana, from a runaway tractor. This display of power was sensed by Charles Xavier/Cerebro and cataloged for later research.
2016: His little sister was abducted and taken to the United States. Piotr vowed to find and safely return his sister to his family. He traveled to the US in search of Illyana. He traveled to New York City 2016: While searching for Illyana, Piotr was forced to use his abilities. This again lead to a sensory spike in Cerebro which drew the attention of Charles Xavier. Xavier seeks Piotr out and offers assistance to find Illyana, if Piotr joins the X-Men. Piotr, having no leads on the whereabouts of his sister, reluctantly joins the X-Men and takes the name Colossus.
2017: With the aid of Xavier and the X-Men, Piotr was able to be reunited with his sister, Illyana. Before he is able to return her home, she is abducted by Belasco and taken to a pocket dimension called Limbo. Minutes later, his sister returns, however, she is greatly aged by 10 years. Deciding not to return home just yet, the siblings stay on at Xavier's.
2017: Piotr is enrolled at Columbia University and he continues his time with the X-Men.
2018: In his third year with the X-Men, he is confronted with mass murder when the Marauders slaughter the Morlocks. He nearly dies in the encounter.
2018: Once again, Piotr loses his sister to a mutant focused virus. She dies. He tries to stay strong for his new comrades.
2019: Illyana reincarnates (again) and he is once again happy to have his little sister in his life.
2020: Piotr graduates Columbia with a degree in Education so that he may teach at Xavier's school. He takes the role of Art Teacher and accessory Danger Room target dummy.
2020: The rest of 2020 was a rough year for Piotr. Many were killed in Genosha which brought back feelings for the friends he lost during the Morlock Massacre. In addition to that trauma, he was once again faced with the evil orchestrator of that massacre, Mr. Sinister himself. There is settling the score, however, as Sinister is only routed by the team.
2020: Further down in the year, he would spend many days bonding with his teammates as well as teaching the students.
2021: July 29th. The team had gone on a mission to stop another evil threat. The battle went as planned and the heroes won the day. Colossus remained behind to help with cleanup while the children were taken away to safety. While on the lower level, the floor gave way beneath the massive weight of Colossus and plunged him down several subterranean levels. There, he discovered a cavern system that was filled with giant mushrooms. Those mushrooms had a fine pollen like powder that wafted through the air and into his lungs. Unable to get a radio signal out, he began to walk and search for an exit. After some time, he discovered that he was unable to shift back to his normal form. Additionally, the mushrooms seemed to have a psychedelic effect. This caused him to become even more exhausted and disoriented. He took a seat against the cavern wall, and fell asleep.
2021: Waking, Colossus found himself still within a cavern system, however it seemed different. He began walking again and soon emerged within the basement of a lighthouse on Muir Island. <this is where we begin a new chapter>

Personality

Personality:
While Piotr may not always be certain of who he is himself, he does little to not make all of who he is evident to other people. While his face is strong and made of living steel, it does little to hide the emtions that constantly play over it, and especially in his eyes. He is a deeply emotional person that perhaps feels too much at times, while his organic metal skin may prevent physical harm, but everything affects his psyche. The Tin-Man with a heart of gold.
Piotr is always compassionate and free-giving, willing to sacrifice all that he has and is for the sake of others, be it strangers or close friends. However, his protective nature is all the more evident towards his family, both paternal and adopted, his teammates, as he takes anything that may happen to them personally and will prevent all harm from befalling them, no matter how trivial. His compassion extends to his mannerisms, as he is a soft spoken man, and even at times shy for fear of making the wrong impression.
But something does inspire him and greatly and that is life himself. It is something that he values and wishes to preserve, as well as capture on convas. Piotr releases the majority of his emotions with his art, and he gains the best insight from life itself.
As much as Piotr has been a man of this world, and off it, he seems to remain rooted and down to earth. Perhaps it is the simple farm boy in him, but he always gets great joy from using his hands to create, be it with a brush or with a shovel. He's always been a people person, finding common grounds to relate with them and is a great listener. But being a man of the people and of the land he believes in the basic roots of his mother country, being a socialist at heart. Conflict is something he'd rather avoid and when his hand is forced, he would rather end it as quick as possible.

Body Transformation:
Piotr's amazing mutant power is his bio-metallic transformation into a body of living organic osmium steel. This transformation draws mass from an unknown pocket dimension, and increases Piotr's body, mass, strength, endurance, and ability to withstand damage. Piotr is able to withstand unearthly damage in this form, and can even survive in a vacuum for a short period of time. This transformation does not hinder his movement, agility, or speed; instead it makes him incredibly agile, quick and able to move faster than most other large superhumans. Piotr can not transform individual areas of his body, it is his entire body that transforms. There is no limit to the amount of time he can remain transformed. However, if knocked unconscious, he would normally return to his original form (unless, for whatever reason he would be stuck in his metal form). The form is semi-conductive, and he is vulnerable to magnetic powers.

Piotr's form is one of organic osmium steel. His body is sensationally resistant to damage from all forms. It is able to withstand a punch from the Hulk or Juggernaut, and even withstand a blow from Thor's hammer. These unearthly power levels do cause a lot of pain to Piotr, and can potential kill him. However, it does provide unearthly protection from physical and energy attacks. It also provides a resistance to heat and cold extremes, allowing Piotr the ability to survive in Arctic temperatures, or the heat of a volcano. His body is less resistant to corrosives or acids; this excellent resistance only allows him time to escape the environment or the nature of the attack. Piotr is also spectacularly resistant to electrical damage, and has shrugged off Storm's lighting strikes with minimal damage. If grounded properly, Colossus can withstand much stronger electrical attacks, and his experience with those tactics are able to utilize that.

This is his primary power and the core of all his other abilities that are listed elsewhere in his Powers writeup.

Healing:
When Piotr switches from his flesh to armored form, and vice versa, some of the damage he has taken in the other form gets healed due to the process of conversion from organic to bio-organic steel and the reverse. This allows him excellent regenerative capabilities. This will not allow him to regenerate mortal wounds, severe damage, or regenerate lost organs.

Self Sustenance:
When Piotr is in his bio-metallic form, he has no need to breathe, eat, drink and can survive indefinitely without these things. This allows him to survive in inhospitable places, such as under the ocean, in a vacuum, or in a poisonous atmosphere. Colossus cannot be poisoned or gassed, and has unearthly resistance to these substances, as they generally need biological components to work effectively. Footnote; he still takes in breath to speak. This pulls molecules into his lungs which are expelled through his vocal chords to make sound. If a medium (such as the atmosphere of Earth) is not provided, he cannot generate sound. Further, if he draws in a 'magical molecule/dust/pollen/spore...', it can remain within his lungs and pose a threat to him by the means with which that artefact operates.

Strength:
When Piotr transforms into his osmium metal form, his bio-mass increases his strength a thousandfold. Colossus is able to go toe to toe with the Hulk, and Juggernaut for short periods of time. His strength is certainly not on their levels, but it is within the class 100 ability range - translated from Marvelease, this means he can lift/punch upwards of 100 tons or more if he pushes himself (for very short periods of time). While in his human form, Piotr has the strength of an Olympic-level athlete, and professional weight lifter. This gives him an excellent strength when in human form.

Toughness:
Piotr's body transformation power has enhanced his toughness to a monstrous degree. This means that he can withstand punches from beings a lot tougher than he is, and stay in the fight. Knives, bullets, even rockets cause little, if any, damage to his body. Not even Wolverine can do more than slightly scrape his skin without proper leverage, or being thrown at him by someone of comparable strength. Colossus can use his strength, toughness, and endurance to hold his ground, and withstand the impact of a large vehicle hitting him at speeds of up to 100 miles per hour. Colossus has withstood incredible damage, and stayed in the fight. Even those with sound or energy draining powers have found that he is unbelievably resistant to those attacks. His body is not "alive" in the normal definition of the word so cannot be drained. His body does not have a "shatter point", so he cannot be destroyed or even severely damaged by sonic attacks or vibrations.

Piotr's transformation is incredible to behold. When transforming, he shifts from his normal 6'6"/250lbs form to become a monolith of a man at 7'7" and 500lbs. Piotr does not tire as a normal human being does. His bio-metallic nature does not have any biological limitations, so that means, quite literally, he takes a long time to tire. He can run at full speed, which is approximately 45 miles per hour, for, theoretically, as long as his endurance holds. Eventually, Piotr will tire. Especially is he is in a heavy combat situation with beings at his level of strength or damage capacity. This will take hours at peak fighting conditions. Unlike any human/mutant/alien, his mind becomes tired far sooner than his body. When in his normal form, Piotr has the normal human endurance of an Olympic-level athlete, and works hard to maintain this level of fitness.

Skills

Armed Combat:
This is a catch-all regarding the use of small arms, weapons, and improvised objects that can be used as weapons. In his time on the farm, Piotr was exposed to shotguns and long rifles. When he joined the X-Men, he was taught the basics of small arms and even the diffusing of grenades/bombs (clasp it between his metal hands and hold tight till it explodes). Most of his weapon use is improvised weapons such as hurling cars, swinging lampposts, throwing boulders, and using chains to defeat the enemy.

Artist:
Piotr is a naturally gifted artist who has received no formal training in the arts. His skills are slanted towards painting and drawing/sketching, and this is where he finds he is truly happy. His ability is such that several of his paintings and drawings have fetched a reasonible price in some art shows, and one of his paintings are even hanging in a New York art gallery.

Everyman Skills:
Piotr can perform common skills known to common persons such as: Driving a personal land or water vehicle, limited operation of a computer, programming a VCR, limited web browsing and social media (did not have a computer/cell phone until joining the X-Men), cook on a traditional range/within oven, operate a microwave, lasso a cow, ride a horse, swim (when in normal form), navigate via the sun and stars, operate farm equipment, break things, start/maintain a fire, camp, basic wilderness survival, hunt, trap, slaughter/clean a cow/pig/deer/fish/dinosaur, and so on.

Farming:
Piotr is an accomplished farmer. He spent most of his life working on his families' farm in Russia. The soil was not perfect for farming. When McDonalds expanded their franchise to the Soviet Union in 1990, they took with them advanced farming techniques/technologies that were freely offered to the Russian farmers. That knowledge benefited the Rasputin family, and through that, Piotr was taught how to get the most out of the ground, the soil, the animals and the food on the farm. Piotr became quite accomplished at it. This also included the knowledge in utilizing the tools and vehicles that were involved in farm work as well.

Fastball Special:
In his many years with the X-Men, Colossus has developed a skill which is called the 'Fastball Special' where he would take any willing projectile (Such as Wolverine) and throw him at exceptional speeds toward a target to increase the damage involved in the attack. He has performed this with not only Wolverine, but that is his favorite projectile.

Languages:
Piotr's native tongue is Russian. When he came to the United States and subsequently joined the X-Men, he was mentally taught other languages by Xavier himself. Piotr can now speak and read English fluently, and has a basic verbal knowledge of Japanese, Italian, German, Spanish, and Shi'ar.

Pilot:
Piotr has also received a pilot's certification in aircraft, and is an excellent pilot, including being able to fly the X-Men's Blackbird Advanced Aircraft. He is certainly not on the level of Cyclops, but he can hold his own.

Tactics:
Piotr has been within the X-Men for several years working with small unit tactics. As such, he has picked up the basics from Cyclops and Storm, two very good leaders and natural tacticians. Even Wolverine has passed on a few bits of tactical experience that has helped Colossus become an even better fighter. He is able to see a battle, and come up with possibilities on how to defeat their opponents based on team tactics. After all, how do you think the "Fastball Special" came to be invented.

Unarmed Combat:
Piotr is a naturally gifted combatant, with several years experience and training by some of the best combatants in the world. Piotr has been trained by Wolverine, Gambit, Bishop, Beast, and several others to best utilize his methods of combat. Piotr is an excellent wrestler, boxer and brawler. His skills could allow him to be an Olympic level athlete in wrestling or boxing, even without his armored form. These forms of unarmed combat Piotr practices daily, maintaining this high level of ability in the Danger Room with daily sessions. Piotr is very focused and disciplined, and maintains this high level in order to protect those he loves. Piotr is just as agile and quick in his armored form as he is in his normal form, and has even been known to pin or hold the Juggernaut for short periods of time.

Rasputin Family:
Piotr maintains close ties to his family in Russia, especially his sister, Illyana, and his parents. As such, he is always welcome at their home, and to have anything they can provide. They will protect and shield Piotr if he needs it, and will not hesitate helping him whenever he needs it. After all, he is family.

Uniform:
Piotr wears his X-Men uniform with pride. Piotr has several variants of his uniform provided by the team. These uniforms do not provide him any more protection than his osmium steel form, but when he is in his normal form, it does afford some protection. It provides excellent resistance to physical attacks, such as bullets or even knives, and good resistance to energy, fire, or cold attacks.

X-Mansion:
Piotr is a member of the X-Men. As such, he has to him the resources of the entire team. This includes the X-Mansion, the Danger Room, Medical Bay, the Blackbird, the vehicles stored in the garage, the computers, the advanced Shi'ar technology (such as Image Inducers, weapons, stealth technology, etc.), and any money, within reason, that is necessary for him to buy whatever he needs.

X-Men:
Piotr is a long serving member of the X-Men. As such, he has the help of any member of the X-Men at any time. Piotr is generally well-liked and respected by all the X-Men, and they are his friends and comrades. As such, he would also rush to aid any one of the X-Men in time of need.

Weaknesses

Body Transformation:
Piotr has tremendous power and ability when in his armoured form. His strength, endurance, and resiliance is nearly unmatched on the planet. However, there are several inherent weaknesses that can be derived from his powers.

Metallic: When in his armoured state, Colossus is made of a metallic, osmium bio-steel. This is, like most metals, susceptible to magnetism. Therefore, Colossus is vulnerable to magnetic heroes or villains.

Temperature: As most metals do, Colossus, when in his metal form, tends to assume the temperature of the environment around his body. Therefore, if it is below zero, his form becomes extremely cold to the touch. If it is extremely hot, for example, if Pyro was heating him up with white-hot fire, then his body would also become extremely hot to the touch.

Vulnerable: When rendered unconscious or sleeping, Piotr reverts to his normal form. Footnote: This only applies when he is not stuck in his metal form (see weakness: Metal State for details.

Strength: Piotr has to be extremely careful when in his metallic state. His strength is extremely damaging to others and objects if he is not extra careful.

Metal State:
Piotr can potentially be trapped in his metallic state, as happened when exposed to underground magic mushrooms. This would leave him unable to revert back to normal form. This potential weakness would limit his ability to heal, repair, or otherwise receive medical attention. It would take an act of Magneto, or someone equally powerful to repair any damage that Piotr sustains.

Peaceful:
Piotr is not a pacifist. However, he is a peaceful soul, that would rather find a more gentle non-violent way to solve problems than beat up the problem with his fists. He is a true follower of Xavier's Dream of Mutants and Humans co-existing in peace, and so strives to uphold that ideal in his own actions. Sometimes his peaceful ideals cause him to use not enough force in a situation, or causes him to pull his punch when more force is required. This could also put him at odds with his more aggressive teammates who want to rush headlong into the fray.

Russian:
Piotr is Russian. He is away from his homeland. The people, the language, the ideals, the every day life, these are all different in the United States than his homeland. This causes him to have a bit of culture shock occasionally, or to say something that may be considered inappropriate. His accent gives him away as being from Russia, and so, he has a hard time fitting in. His english has developed extremely well over the years, but it is still obvious that he is not American.

Weight and Size:
When in his metal form, Piotr weighs upwards of 500 pounds. While a refrigerator weighs 200 to 400 pounds, and a water bed weighs around 300 pounds per square foot, those weights are spread out over a larger surface. Piotr's size 17 shoe doesn't. When weight is compiled with downward force in a reduced surface area, it tends to do damage to the floor. Weaker and older structures may give way to him tromping around. Also, it should be noted that he's 7'7" tall when he is transformed. This also poses an inconvenience when sitting, laying on a normal bed, normal door sizes (6'8") and so on. However, he does have the benefit of being able to reach the top shelf without a step ladder.
