A member of the Bertinelli mafia family, Helena was groomed by her uncle to be a tool of vengeance. She is now a woman on a mission, seeking to take out not only those who killed her family but her own blood as well.

Timeline:
1993: Helena Bertinelli was born to Franco (who was unknowingly not her father) and Helena Bertinelli, little sister to brother Pino.
2001: Stefano Mandragora ordered a hit on Helena's family when Helena was just eight. Stefano gave the order for the 'sister be spared', referring to Helena's mother, but the young girl was allowed to live instead while the rest of her family was killed before her while they were eating dinner. She went to Sicily with her uncle and a cousin where they taught her how to fight and use a crossbow as weapons against those who killed her family, claiming "blood for blood".
2009: Bewtween the time she was eight and the year she turned sixteen, Helena came to realize the truth about her family, who were actually the head of the Mafia in Gotham. The year she turned sixteen they returned to her place of birth and soon held a Christmas party which Helena did not enjoy. It wasn't until a certain masked hero came breaking through a window and fought her family that she found the evening to be fun, and it also helped push her into deciding what she wanted to do, that be get revenge on those responsible for the death of her family.
2015: After that, she graduated high school and college, getting her certification in English so she could teach at a high school level. She also spent that time establishing herself as hte anti-heroine Huntress who made her mark throughout Gotham.
2020: Continuing her teaching career and her work as Huntress.

Nurturing:
Even though Helena has no qualms about killing there is a side of her that cares about others, espcially her students who she'd do just about anything for.

Stubborn:
Helena's stubborn. It is almost impossible to get her to see someone else's point of view or stop when she has her heart set on doing something, especially if it means killing someone on her list.

Vengeful:
With all that has happened to Helena it shouldn't be surprising to know that she's wanting to see to the demise of those who killed her family and who are members of the Mafia.

Archery:
This was one of the skills she was taught as a young girl. She eventually chose the small, hand-held crossbow she often uses, and is very adept at its use.

Combat:
Helena has learned many forms of martial arts, including Muay Thai, Kung Fu and boxing. She also learned stick fighting, which aids her in her use of her staff.

Criminology:
Growing up within the Mafia's world has given Helena a keen grape on how the criminal mind works. Gives her an edge when the need to anticipate what a thug might do arises.

Driving:
She has more than ample skill at defensive and offensive driving, both of cars and motorcycles.

Firearms:
Along with her crossbow, Helena is also highly skilled at using firearms. She prefers the dual 9mm pistols she got not long after she graduated college.

Investigation:
Helena's ties to the mafia has also honed her ability to investigate her surroundings, making it a bit more difficult to Amish or trap her, and it also helps her with the criminology.

Multilingual:
Is fluent in both English and Italian.

Peak Human Conditioning:
Helena has put in many hours of rigorous training, and still does. This has given her an increased stamina, strength and endurance than many others, allowing her to push herself further and harder.

Stealth:
As Huntress, she can move quietly and remain unseen, usually, when she takes to clinging to the shadows.

She is a highly talented English teacher and has the numbers and passing students to prove it.

The amount of weapons she has at her disposal are few in number but are very lethal. When in costume, she always has her crossbow and dual pistols, along with her staff. She also keeps a few items in belt pouches like smoke bombs and a small first aid kit.

Costume:
Huntress' costume has gotten to be more protective over the years, giving coverage to the more vital parts of her body. It also serves in concealing her identity.

Motorcycle:
Helena has a souped up 2015 Ducati. It can reach speeds of around 150 mph on open roads and has armor plating.

Personal Worth:
Helena has several million dollars ferreted away in a bank. It is money she inherited from her family, money she considers blood money, so she only uses it in emergencies.

It is important that no one discovers Helena's Huntress. There is so much at stake, including the safety of her students as well as her own.

Temper:
Helena has a fiery temper, something that has gotten her into the past and will undoubtedly get her into trouble again in the future.

Vendetta:
Helena has it out for those who were responsible for the death of her father, mother and brother, as well as anyone else who works for the Mafia. This will result in a lot of blood being shed, some of which will undoubtedly be her own.
