|Profile=Captain Harold "Highball" Jordan, USAF (Ret.) is a former fighter pilot for the USAF and a test pilot for Ferris Aircraft Inc. Hal is also the Green Lantern of Sector 2814, and has been known as "the Greatest Green Lantern of all time". As a "policeman" of space of sorts, he is charged by the Guardians of the Universe to uphold law, order, and the tennants of the Green Lantern Corps. As a GL, Hal uses his power ring, one of the most powerful weapons in the Universe, to turn his will into reality, limited only by that will and his imagination.

|Profile=Hal Jordan (Callsign: Highball) is the Green Lantern of Sector 2814. He was once a Captain in the USAF, and a fantastic pilot. He currently works as a test pilot for Ferris Air. Renowned for his great willpower even within the Green Lantern Corp, he fights the good fight, both on Earth and all the other planets in his sector, when called upon. He also maintains his place in the Justice League, when threats come for the world that even a Lantern Ring can't handle.

<br>Hal is a good guy. He is willing to help others, and is willing to sacrifice himself, or even his sanity, to ensure that people are saved from destruction or pain. He is strong willed, and excellent leader when placed in command. He is willing to go to great lengths to ensure that justice is done, and this has caused him to butt heads with others in the past, from The Guardians of the Universe, to Green Arrow, and even Superman and Batman. He does have a large ego, due to his background of a test pilot and jock, but he has tempered it with experience and pain, so it is usually under control. He is an expert with the Power Ring, and is an exceptional tactician when it comes to using the resources of the Green Lantern Corps.<br><br>
+
<br>Not everyone feels the urge to help people, but Hal is one of those guys who does just that. Sure, superheroing in general involves a lot of that to begin with. But Hal goes beyond that. He might nudge his superiors to throw charity events for those in need, or offer plane rides for donations. He's not above using his hero ID to see that funds get distributed to people in need, either. The world may have more than a few people just trying to do the next right thing, but Hal still belongs to such a group of people.<br><br>

<span style="color:#1f75FE">'''Competitive:'''</span>
<br>Hal loves a good ball game or football game, and loves to fly. Even when he has lost his Power Ring, he has always gone back to flying. It was his joy in life before the Corps, and finds himself still doing it. But just as importantly, he wants to fly higher and farther and faster than anyone around him. Hal also likes to go hiking, enjoying the outdoors. And he usually wants to go farther than the guy next to him. Interested in history, Hal constantly read the Great Book on Oa to find out more about other Green Lanterns' that came before him...he is constantly trying to better himself, and is dedicated to achieving the best he can, at everything he does...he doesn't want to admit this, but his study of the Lanterns that came before was born out of his desire to surpass them.<br><br>
+
<br>Some people wanna win. Some people want to be the best. That is the fire that drives competition, and it exists in Hal. It isn't enough to simply test planes or beat bad guys. He has to do it a little bit better than the next pilot, have a little more Will than the other Green Lanterns, do it all just that little bit better. Unlike some competitive types, Hal takes failure in stride, and just works that much harder to be even better for the next round. And there's always a next round.<br><br>

<br>Hal is cool and calm under fire, and utterly fearless, making him a great Green Lantern. He has amazing willpower and ability with the Power Ring bequeathed him by Abin Sur, and has made a name for himself as the greatest Green Lantern of all time. He is compassionate and caring, and enjoys helping those in need. He is open-minded, and this quality has helped him fit into the alien-filled GL Corps with no problem. He is a bit irratated and feels penned in by the limitless rules of the Guardians of the Universe, and is sometimes short with them. He does have a temper, and ocassionally this slips out, as he speaks his mind. He is highly resiliant to change, and works well in a group. He is respected and admired by his peers, and they listen to what he has to say. He is a good tactician and strategist, and uses this to full advantage.

<br>The Green Light of Will runs strongly though Hal Jordan. When one of the 7 colors of the emotional spectrum becomes so pronounced, it has a drastic effect on the way one behaves. The ability to overcome great fear isn't as common as it looks, and the moment others give up is when Hal continues to press forward. While green is the most 'balanced' color of the emotional spectrum, hence why the Guardians chose it, it does still cause Will to be a dominant trait. This is part of why he's a test pilot. He wants to do things everyone else is scared to do. And when others hesitate, he will act.

<span style="color:#8a14ff">'''Fearless:'''</span>
+
<span style="color:#8a14ff">'''Creativity:'''</span>
<br>Hal Jordan is the DC version of the "man without fear" and this translates into Hal taking chances where others would fear to go. While not completely immune to fear, the effects of terror and terror related devices are diminished when used on him. With his near superhuman willpower, he can try and resist these effects. He has learned to overcome great fear, and this is one of his greatest strengths. Courage, after all, is not immunity to fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear.<br><br>
+
<br>Two things fuel a Green Lantern's effectiveness. Willpower and Creativity. Willpower governs the strength of the constructs, but it's creativity that determines how interesting and varied the constructs are. Here, Hal is actually perhaps a little below average for a Green Lantern Corp member. Still, the sheer amount of inhuman things he's seen gives him a much wider frame of reference with which to create objects than any being confined to planet Earth would have.<br><br>
<span style="color:#8a14ff">'''Power Battery:'''</span>

<br>Hal Jordan must recharge his ring every 24 hours, or when the charge has been depleted. The Green Lantern Power Battery takes its power from the Oan Power Battery, and is used to recharge the Green Lantern Power Ring. It is kept at his apartment, invisible until needed or called upon by the Green Lantern.<br><br>

<span style="color:#8a14ff">'''Power Ring:'''</span>

<br>Hal Jordan is totally without fear, and has an incredible willpower. This translates into his abilities with the ring that are second to none. He is able to use the ring as though born to it. However, his imagination is usually relegated to creating basic images. Boxing gloves, hammer, cubes for cells, and ordered constructs that aren't too complicated<br><br>Energy Manipulation - Hal Jordan has a superhuman level willpower, with a strength only matched by some heavy hitters in the DC Universe. His constructs are particularly strong and basic, with a strength to withstand a few mighty blows before weakening or breaking. This causes a lot of strain on his willpower, but due to his abilities, it has only minor effects on him. Hal generally does not create complicated constructs with his ring. However, they are just as effective as some constructs created by more creative members of the Corps. These constructs exist as long as GL concentrates on them, and they have quite a "punch" when used to cause damage. These constructs have been known to send most anyone for a loop, and their strength level is at extraordinary levels.<br><br>Travel - While in an atmosphere, GL is only able to fly at speeds which don't damage a planet's atmosphere. This translates into moving at hypersonic speeds in an atmosphere. In space, Green Lantern can travel past light speed, and travels through wormholes in space to attain massive speeds gtraveling intergalactic distances in short periods of time.<br><br>Emergency Backup - This can only be used once in a 24 hour period, for no longer than an hour, and requires the ring to be recharged before this ability can be used again.<br><br>Force Fields - This force field can withstand both physical and energy attacks, plus the ring also protects it's wearer from other effects, such as a vacuum, high speeds in an atmosphere, and radiation. It's strength can withstand blows from mighty beings indeed for brief intervals.<br><br>Phasing - This power allows GL to phase through most materials similar to to speedsters.<br><br>Translation Matrix - The ring can translate most languages given enough time.<br><br>Information Database - The ring has stored a massive amount of information gleaned from the Central Battery on Oa, and is able to access that information easily with incredible speed. Currently Sector 2814 is stored in Hal Jordan's ring.<br><br>Invisibility - Hal can turn himself and a small group of others invisible. However, this has a high drain rate, and there's often a faint green glow around the area, though the glow is dispersed such that targeting precisely by tracking glow isn't possible. Targeting the glow is plenty for AOE though.<br><br>Communication - Hal is able to communicate with other GLs through his ring over short distances. He has to be within line of sight to do this act, which is difficult. However, Hal's will is strong enough to break through most other GLs mental barriers. Hal would never do that however, unless necessary. Communication networks can also be set up to communicate with earth based sources, and the Justice League can contact him through ring when needed.<br><br>Emergency Beacon - Hal can send an emergency signal to a GL in a sector next to him if it is an emergency or he requires assistance.<br><br>Remote Control - Hal's will allow him to be able to control his ring from a short distance. Since his will is so strong, it is highly unlikely that the ring would be usurped by another's will, but it is possible.<br><br>

<span style="color:#8a14ff">'''Willpower:'''</span>

<span style="color:#8a14ff">'''Willpower:'''</span>
<br>Hal Jordan has an almost superhuman strength of willpower. This translates into his ability to push himself through difficulties that would cripple a normal man. Hal uses this will to use his ring with the ability that few, if any, others can come close to matching. Hal is tenacious and continues on, pushing himself to the limit. Naturally, this also confers great psychic resistance...most telepaths will see nothing but green in his head, and good luck trying to mind control him into something. And this is before the Ring kicks in any extra resistance he might need. Speaking of which, the ring is also powered by the green light of his willpower, so this is what determines the power of his constructs.
+
<br>The Green Light of Willpower flows strongly indeed in Hal Jordan. Not only does he possess the strongest willpower on earth...which is why the Green Ring chose him in the first place, but even among the Green Lantern Corp itself...there's 3600 space sectors, Green Lanterns in all of them, and Hal Jordan is still top 5 out of that rather large group. Willpower is also described as 'the ability to overcome great fear.' And while fear can refer to all the scary things out there in the great wide universe, it can also refer to much more mundane fears, like working up the courage to try something new, even if it seems silly or stupid.

<br>Hal Jordan enjoys a good game of football, and keeps in shape by running and working out. This gives him an above average endurance and he maintains a healthy lifestyle. There's also something to be said for the basic training of the USAF, and his physique tends to show all that military training.<br><br>
+
<br>Like every military man, Hal has been trained in military combat. This involves using military grade weapons, hand to hand, pressure points, and more. On top of all that, he's received extra training from his fellows in the superhero community, which has pushed his hand to hand skills beyond that of a soldier. As a result, he exists in that sort of halfway point, where he's better in hand to hand than any soldier would be, but generally not as good as any costumed hero who uses hand to hand as their primary fighting style.<br><br>
<span style="color:#00CED1">'''Combat:'''</span>
+
<span style="color:#00CED1">'''Af Training:'''</span>
<br>Hal Jordan is by no means an expert of hand to hand combat. However, he can hold his own, having received military training as an officer in the USAF, Kilowog's martial regimen on Oa, and some training from Batman and Wonder Woman. Hal is also familiar with firearms due to his military training.<br><br>
+
<br>As a result of his training in the Air Force, Hal had to go through boot camp like any other military man, and was taught the athletics and survival techniques of the US military. As a result of this head start from the Armed Services, and a constant dedication to maintaining those skills, he is much more adept at physical activity and dealing with the wilderness than most.<br><br>

<span style="color:#00CED1">'''Gl Training:'''</span>
<br>Hal Jordan is a capable driver, of cars, trucks, motorcycles and "big rigs" or "18 wheelers" as well. He has done some trucking in his past, and is familiar with standard and automatic transmissions.<br><br>
+
<br>Like most poozers, Hal has received the Kilowog training program, and gone through the general training the Green Lanterns give to their Corp members. In addition, he has seen and is familiar with a vast amount of alien technology, and is capable of operating most of those devices. He is equally familiar with alien races and other planets full of sentients, and has enough knowledge of ettiquette to not offend any of them on accident. He is most familiar with the planets and races of sector 2814, which includes not just Earth, but the Alderane System, Aoran, Archos, Athmoora, Dalgova, Garon, Heliopolis, Jotham, Kormorax, M'brai, Nidessi, Nok, Omnicron Ceti IV, Pharon IV, Scylla, Talkor, Ungara, The Vivarium, Ysmault, and Zerbon.<br><br>
<span style="color:#00CED1">'''Intergalactic Knowledge:'''</span>

<span style="color:#00CED1">'''Ground Vehicles:'''</span>
<br>Hal Jordan has been a member of the Green Lantern Corps for sometime, and in those years he has picked up a myriad of skills and knowledge from several hundred alien races. He knows politics, technology, cultures, science and history of several races he has come in contact with, and is familiar with the Intergalactic Community at large.<br><br>
+
<br>On top of cars, Hal is also familiar with motorcycles, semi trucks, big rigs, and especially motorcycles. He has quite a bit of fun motorcycling around, when he gets the chance.<br><br>
<span style="color:#00CED1">'''Leadership:'''</span>
+
<span style="color:#00CED1">'''Officer Training:'''</span>
<br>Hal Jordan has received training in leadership from the USAF. Hal has also been given command of numerous missions for the GLC and has been extremely successful. Hal is a natural leader, charismatic, and confident. An above average tactician and strategist, Hal has discovered that he is actually an excellent leader, when called to serve in that capacity, and doesn't shy away from the spotlight when placed in charge. Hal has no problem stepping up and taking command when necessary.<br><br>
+
<br>Hal wasn't just a grunt in the USAF. He was an Officer. Being an officer requires leadership training, how to put people in the best positions to win, how to get people to want to follow you, and tactical accumen, as well as strategic planning. Although originally designed for the military, such skills serve him in the Lantern Corp and in the Justice League, which both frequently involve lots of battles.<br><br>

<span style="color:#00CED1">'''Pilot:'''</span>

<span style="color:#00CED1">'''Pilot:'''</span>
<br>Hal Jordan has been a USAF fighter pilot and a civilian test pilot for years. He is one of the most recoginized, skillful pilots of jets in the world. He is familiar with all the latest aircraft, including US Military experimental jet fighters. He has military training in the flying of these jets, and uses that ability to excel at his job. In short, if you took his Lantern Ring away, and aliens from outer space invaded, not only would Hal be able to hop in an F16 and fight that way, he'd be a veritable Red Baron of the USAF, shooting down plane after plane. More than that, his interglactic familiarity means he'd be fairly effective at hopping into most alien fighter craft, and he'd be just as effective flying those should he somehow comandeer one.<br><br>
+
<br>Hal's piloting is truly top notch. Not only is able to withstand an unusually high amount of G Force when he's flying up there, but he's actually flown in combat, as he dealt with the original invasion, not as the Green Lantern, but as an Air Force Pilot, as he had not claimed the Ring yet. As an Air Force pilot, though, he was still a veritable Red Baron of the Air Force, destroying more enemy craft than anyone else in a plane.<br><br>
<span style="color:#00CED1">'''Survival:'''</span>
+
<span style="color:#00CED1">'''Ring Slinging:'''</span>
<br>Hal Jordan is an experienced, rough survivalist and outdoorsman, used to camping and surviving in the wilderness. Hal is also familiar with a myriad of alien terrains, and can survive in a hostile wilderness for an extended period of time with a little work.
+
<br>Green Lantern combat is different from most other forms of combat. The Ring does all the work, but it's based on willpower and creativity. This represents Hal's long experience and skills with the Ring. By working with other members of the Green Lantern Corp, and fighting alongside the Justice League, he's been forced to use the Ring in ways new ring slingers might not think of, and he's had that ring do all sorts of things, from dramatic to simple. It also involves the skill of keeping an eye on the charge level, and understanding how much the ring has left in the tank at any given moment. It involves knowing when to recharge, and when to push on because it's the right thing to do. It even involves knowing when to use the ring at all, and knowing when going in as plain old Hal is the right choice to make.

<br>The Power Ring of the Green Lantern Corp does whatever the mind can imagine, at levels that correspond to the Willpower of the user. If the Green Lantern Corps are intergalactic space cops, the Ring is their badge and gun. While subject to the Guardians, and they could take it away if they feel the need, it is nonetheless Hal's to use unless he offends them that badly. It is still an object, however, and could in theory be lost or stolen.<br><br>The Ring's primary ability is the creation of constructs. These constructs can be anything the user can imagine, and their strength is determined by the Will of the user. In Hal's case, he's a Top Tier Green Lantern and a member of the Justice League, so they hold up pretty darn well.<br><br>The Ring also provides forcefields. These are effective against physical force, energy, and even magic. His mind and even his spirit are protected by the ring too, and most telepaths see nothing but Green in his head.<br><br>The Ring provides flight. While hypersonic in the Earth's atmosphere, it's multiple times the speed of light outside that atmosphere. As such, the most efficient way for Hal to travel long distances is to fly up into space, transit there, then fly back down.<br><br>The Ring is a universal translator...which is helpful for dealing with Alien Species who have languages no human could hope to understand on their own.<br><br>The ring can be used to fire blasts of Oan energy or create weapons firing projectiles of it. Hal Jordan (Callsign: Highball) is the Green Lantern of Sector 2814.

2018:Hal is off planet AGAIN during Loki's invasion of New York. He has yet to participate in any truly major battles of Earth as Green Lantern.
2019: Brokered peace between two planets in the sector about to go to war. Apparently it was just a misunderstanding.

Personality

Altruistic:
Not everyone feels the urge to help people, but Hal is one of those guys who does just that. Sure, superheroing in general involves a lot of that to begin with. But Hal goes beyond that. He might nudge his superiors to throw charity events for those in need, or offer plane rides for donations. He's not above using his hero ID to see that funds get distributed to people in need, either. The world may have more than a few people just trying to do the next right thing, but Hal still belongs to such a group of people.

Competitive:
Some people wanna win. And there's always a next round.

Willful:
The Green Light of Will runs strongly though Hal Jordan.

Powers

Creativity:
Two things fuel a Green Lantern's effectiveness. Willpower and Creativity. Willpower governs the strength of the constructs, but it's creativity that determines how interesting and varied the constructs are. Here, Hal is actually perhaps a little below average for a Green Lantern Corp member. Still, the sheer amount of inhuman things he's seen gives him a much wider frame of reference with which to create objects than any being confined to planet Earth would have.

Willpower:
The Green Light of Willpower flows strongly indeed in Hal Jordan.

Skills

Af Combat:
Like every military man, Hal has been trained in military combat. This involves using military grade weapons, hand to hand, pressure points, and more. On top of all that, he's received extra training from his fellows in the superhero community, which has pushed his hand to hand skills beyond that of a soldier. As a result, he exists in that sort of halfway point, where he's better in hand to hand than any soldier would be, but generally not as good as any costumed hero who uses hand to hand as their primary fighting style.

Af Training:
As a result of his training in the Air Force, Hal had to go through boot camp like any other military man, and was taught the athletics and survival techniques of the US military. As a result of this head start from the Armed Services, and a constant dedication to maintaining those skills, he is much more adept at physical activity and dealing with the wilderness than most.

Gl Training:
Like most poozers, Hal has received the Kilowog training program, and gone through the general training the Green Lanterns give to their Corp members. In addition, he has seen and is familiar with a vast amount of alien technology, and is capable of operating most of those devices. He is equally familiar with alien races and other planets full of sentients, and has enough knowledge of ettiquette to not offend any of them on accident. He is most familiar with the planets and races of sector 2814, which includes not just Earth, but the Alderane System, Aoran, Archos, Athmoora, Dalgova, Garon, Heliopolis, Jotham, Kormorax, M'brai, Nidessi, Nok, Omnicron Ceti IV, Pharon IV, Scylla, Talkor, Ungara, The Vivarium, Ysmault, and Zerbon.

Ground Vehicles:
On top of cars, Hal is also familiar with motorcycles, semi trucks, big rigs, and especially motorcycles. He has quite a bit of fun motorcycling around, when he gets the chance.

Officer Training:
Hal wasn't just a grunt in the USAF. He was an Officer. Being an officer requires leadership training, how to put people in the best positions to win, how to get people to want to follow you, and tactical accumen, as well as strategic planning. Although originally designed for the military, such skills serve him in the Lantern Corp and in the Justice League, which both frequently involve lots of battles.

Pilot:
Hal's piloting is truly top notch. Not only is able to withstand an unusually high amount of G Force when he's flying up there, but he's actually flown in combat, as he dealt with the original invasion, not as the Green Lantern, but as an Air Force Pilot, as he had not claimed the Ring yet. As an Air Force pilot, though, he was still a veritable Red Baron of the Air Force, destroying more enemy craft than anyone else in a plane.

Ring Slinging:
Green Lantern combat is different from most other forms of combat.

Resources

Ferris Air:
Hal's place of employment. It makes sure he has Earth Dollars when Earth Dollars are required, and provides for his lifestyle. Also, being a Test pilot is straight up fun! He's quite happy with his job.

Gl Power Battery:
In Brightest Day, in Blackest Night
No Evil shall escape my sight
Let those who worship evil's might
Beware my power, Green Lantern's Light!

With the Oath of the Green Lantern Corps, and his Power Battery, Hal can recharge his Ring for the next go round of service to the Corps and the world around him. These smaller power batteries access the central battery on Oa to recharge a Lantern Ring. A charge typically lasts 24 hours, unless it is used more vigorously than it should be.

Gl Power Ring:
The Power Ring of the Green Lantern Corp does whatever the mind can imagine, at levels that correspond to the Willpower of the user. If the Green Lantern Corps are intergalactic space cops, the Ring is their badge and gun. While subject to the Guardians, and they could take it away if they feel the need, it is nonetheless Hal's to use unless he offends them that badly. It is still an object, however, and could in theory be lost or stolen.

The Ring's primary ability is the creation of constructs. These constructs can be anything the user can imagine, and their strength is determined by the Will of the user. In Hal's case, he's a Top Tier Green Lantern and a member of the Justice League, so they hold up pretty darn well.

The Ring also provides forcefields. These are effective against physical force, energy, and even magic. His mind and even his spirit are protected by the ring too, and most telepaths see nothing but Green in his head.

The Ring provides flight. While hypersonic in the Earth's atmosphere, it's multiple times the speed of light outside that atmosphere. As such, the most efficient way for Hal to travel long distances is to fly up into space, transit there, then fly back down.

The Ring is a universal translator...which is helpful for dealing with Alien Species who have languages no human could hope to understand on their own.

The ring can be used to fire blasts of Oan energy or create weapons firing projectiles of it. The ring can project beams of force powered by the will of the user.

The ring has an ability to heal physical injuries. A Green Lantern can use the ring to repair injuries in himself or others.

There's a database for intergalactic matters Hal can access when needed, and it is particular verbose for his space sector, 2814.

The Ring also has a scanner. On top of giving Hal information on whatever or whoever is being scanned, it also tells the ring what 'lethal force' would be, and helps the ring adjust to make sure it never crosses that line. The ring handles that on its own, and Hal doesn't have to eyeball it. It equally can record data and play it back for future use. Recorded data is also sent to GL central reporting on Oa.

Every GL ring can communicate with any other GL ring at any time, no matter how far away the other space sector is. It can also be used to communicate with Earth technology, or technology on other planets, although that takes some work to set up.

Hal can phase through solid objects when needed, though this can be draining on the charge.

Hal can also turn himself or even others invisible, though this is also a drain and leaves a telltale green glow where bodies would be. The glow is very subtle, though, and easily missed.

Hal can launch an emergency beacon when needed. This is only once per charge, though, and only used at great need, because this is the sort of thing that causes Lanterns from nearby sectors to fly in to help Hal.

If the ring is not on his finger, Hal can command it to return to his finger within reasonable distances.

Green Lantern Corps:
The Green Lantern Corps, with its central command on Oa and 3600 Lanterns patrolling 3600 space sectors...is one of the largest intergalactic peacekeeping forces in existence. On top of those 3600 Lanterns, the lore and wisdom of the Guardians is unparalleled, if they choose to share that wisdom. And those Lanterns are a wide variety of things, from a Green Lantern smallpox virus to Mogo, the living Green Lantern planet, who also is in charge of helping Rings find new owners.

Justice League:
A group of loosely affiliated heroes who get together to face cosmic threats no one of them alone could face, this gives Hal a second group of powerful friends he can call on in times of need. Better, some of these people are his genuine friends.

Weaknesses

Heroic:
A rather common weakness, but the drive to do the right thing can endanger Hal. He might push his ring a little further than it should be pushed if he has to save a life that way, or let villains escape to clean up the mess the villain left behind due to the endangerment of innocent people. The most efficient way of dealing with problems is often closed to him due to it not being the right thing to do, or not the right way to do the right thing to do.

No Kill:
A Green Lantern ring must be authorized to use lethal force. Typically, it is not, and without direct approval from the Guardians, it never will be. Rings are capable of analyzing the intent of the wielder, so slicing a pole with the idea it'll land on someone's head is also a no no. Rings are also good at analyzing opponents, and use the appropriate amount of force to subdue, but never kill, that opponent.

No Rings On Planes:
It is a custom of Hal Jordan's to never wear the GL ring when he's flying a plane. Part of the whole being fearless thing, perhaps. But if forced into a fight in a jet, he'll be relying on the jet's weapon systems, not his ring's.

Parallax:
The Yellow Impurity in the Green Lantern Corp. Which is actually the yellow entity of Fear. While it hates all Green Lanterns, it is particularly focused on Hal Jordan, as it has chosen him to possess, if it gets the chance.

Recharge:
A single charge of a Green Lantern Ring typically lasts 24 hours. However, certain abilities and constant combat use can cut into this time. Warding off exceptionally powerful attacks will also cut into this time. While the Ring will warn when its charge is getting low, if it runs out, Hal would be only human.

Stubborn:
Ya know what another word for a man with godlike willpower is? Stubborn.

Yellow Impurity:
Due, specifically, to Parallax, the Entity of Fear, being trapped in the Centra Green Power Battery on Oa, Green Lantern Rings are currently powerless against anything yellow. Should Parallax escape, this would no longer be the case.
