The daughter of Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Woman, Valeria Richards is a genius set to surpass her father. Though she has no known superpowers, she's spent her life in the spotlight along with the rest of her family. She's eager to take a more active part in their adventures now that she's an adult, though with no powers she'll have to prove herself.

2002: Born with the assistance of Victor Von Doom, due to some science-related birth complications.

2005: Solving Rubik's cubes and playing chess. Speculated to be on track to surpass her father.

2010: Cruelly excluded from assisting in defeating Annihilus and Zod. Apparently 8 years old is too young to fight supervillains. Totally unfair.

2012: Once again left out of heroics! Ten years old still too young to fight supervillains. Ten years old is old enough to assist with calculations for experimental technology though. (Still not fair not to get to see it work though.)

2014: Begins to work more intensely with her father on scientific pursuits. Arguably on par with him. Traditional schooling was never really an option, but now at a university level.

2018: Finally old enough to assist in superheroics! On family vaction off-world when Loki attacks. It figures.

2020: Actually an adult. Legally speaking. Lacking in formal degrees (why go to college when your dad is already the smartest guy in the world with the best resources?), but at doctorate level in multiple STEM fields.

Val has rarely run into a problem that she can't solve, given enough time and materials. And if she can't solve it, someone else in her family can. And she's almost never without them. Failure is a mystery to her. As a result, she has a tendency to walk boldly into situations that she really probably shouldn't. So far she's been able to walk back out of them. Eventually, that may change.

Family is everything to Valeria. She's rarely been without them, so it's second nature to assume they're going to be there and they're going to be able to solve whatever problem presents itself. It also means she's grown up with a number of different influences that she's able to draw upon when she runs into an unfamiliar situation. Bullies? That's what Uncle Ben is for. Boys? Uncle Johnny's probably got a skewed view, but he has one! Girl things? Mom's the expert. Science? Dad. Magic? Uncle Victor. Kid things? Her brother. She's used to working as part of a team of people she cares about.

Above all, Val is a seeker of knowledge. She wants to know things. Science things, sure. But those are easy for her. She's always looking for a new discovery, for a new way to make things work, for...anything she doesn't already know. If she was part of any other family, that could lead to problems. Luckily, her family is the...adventurous sort, and usually along for the trip. Though she's been known to try to handle things herself if they're otherwise occupied.

It's uncertain if Valeria's intelligence is natural or has been influenced by the cosmic radiation that suffuses her parents. Regardless, it's at such a level that it functions more as a power than as a skill. By the age of three, Val was solving Rubik's cubes and playing chess. By the age of ten, it was clear that she was going to surpass her father. While STEM fields are her strength and comfort zone, she's also well-read in literature, history, and philosophy. With a short amount of time to study a topic, she can achieve full understanding. With intense study, she can advance the field.

Val isn't really the heavy combat type, but you can't grow up around the Fantastic Four without being taught a thing or two about how to defend yourself in a tight spot. Most of what she knows about combat falls under the heading of boxing or dirty street fighting, courtesy of Uncle Ben. She's picked up bits and pieces of aikido in an attempt to balance it out, but she favors brain over brawn.

Among her strengths, Valeria is an excellent engineer. Give her an outline of what a device needs to do and some basic components and she'll construct it. Machinery and electronics should not be left unsupervised around her, lest they be subjected to unanticipated "improvement." Who doesn't want a flying truck, after all?

All of those family vacations into space and other dimensions taught Valeria about more than just how to pilot ships. They've also taught her a wide array of survival skills. Finding food, setting up camp, reading the environment to determine safe food and water, and enough anthropology to understand any strange people they might come across are all some of the things she's learned from their travels. She can read the stars, navigate unfamiliar environments, and chart a course.

If it falls under the heading of science, Val probably knows how to do it. Chemistry, biology, physics, quantum physics...the Fantastic Four have had to solve problems with all of them, and it doesn't take a lot of examples for Val to pick something up. She's often at her father's side when it comes to experiments and study.

Val is a capable pilot and driver of various sorts of vehicles. Particularly flying cars, but she knows how to handle herself with various aircraft, spaceships, and land vehicles as well.

Fantastic Four:
Valeria has the best family in the world. In several worlds. Just ask her, she'll tell you. The team has access to incredible scientific and financial resources, connections to governments and superheroes, advanced modes of transportation... There are very few things that are beyond her reach if the family is willing to help out. Aside from the material, there's a wealth of knowledge and support to be had.

Godfather Doom:
Victor Von Doom is Valeria's godfather. It's complicated, but if there's something the family can't get for her, there's a chance that her godfather can. And really, he tends to be a little less concerned about the ethics of it than they are.

Unstable Molecules:
Valeria has her own unstable molecule suit for the times when she's actually allowed to take part in heroics. She's also been known to requisition some of the material for her own purposes. Dad's not great at keeping track of details, he'll probably never notice.

Another Level:
Valeria's intelligence operates on a level that most people can't comprehend. She doesn't struggle with people skills quite the same way her father does, but she's not exactly a normal kid either. She can have trouble connecting with people her own age or people with normal lives who've never left the state where they were born, let alone their dimension.

Godfather Doom:
Doom as a godfather has its perks. It also has its downsides. He's not always the most stable, reliable, or well-liked figure, and the connection to him can get her in trouble.

Mental Powers:
Val is a genius. That's great for solving problems behind the scenes, but it doesn't do a lot in the field. Because of this, her family has often tried to keep her out of fights to try to keep her safe. That said, she hates being kept out of anything. Her brain is worlds ahead of her physical ability to defend herself and often leads her into deeper water than she can stay afloat in.

Public Identity:
Valeria's identity has been public since before she was even born. Everyone knows who she is and who she's related to. And the Fantastic Four have a whole lot of very powerful enemies. Sure, she's close with her family. Part of that is because keeping her close has been the only way for them to make sure she'd be safe from their enemies.
