Teenage runaway with a mile long streak of chaos. Tabby hates rules, and often gets into trouble for disregarding them, but she doesn't mean it to be mean or cruel. It just sometimes happens she takes things too far.

Timeline

Timeline:
2001: Born. What more can be said? Right. Parents are Marty Smith (rotten) and Mandy Smith (also rotten) and she was born in Roanoke, Virginia. Neat, huh?
2012: The X-Men protect the Earth and some kind of gene bomb happens. It's the start of a life change. Plus, Dad is terrible. News at 11.
2013: Discovered boys. Discovered mutant powers. Exploded the school cafeteria. Ooops. Sentinels become a thing, fueling parental hate and distrust.
2014: Tried to live as a mutant under the Smith roof. Didn't go according to plan, blew that pop stand for greener pastures. Rumor of some kind of safe place for mutants in New York. 2014 Part Deux, train north crashed by cosmic being in Washington D.C.
2015: Brief cosmic relocation, then return to Earth to resume quest north. Quest succeeded, Xavier's found.
2016-2017: "Settled down" at the school, picked up training. Normal non-mutant power classes still a bore. Attempted assassination of Senator Kelly, things got REAL.
2018: Being a mutant became a much bigger problem, bailed for Genosha.
2020: This time the roof getting blown off is someone else's fault. Rescued from Genosha and end up back with the X-Men.

Chaos Incarnate:
Whatever reasons she has for doing something are often inexplicable to most, sometimes it seems like choices are made for the sake of being random. Always leave a person guessing, never be predictable. Can't let anyone figure you out. It keeps you safe, right?

Hot-Headed:
It's not rage issues, but she has a temper when pushed that can go off like a bomb. Ironic, no? She sometimes says and does things that she comes to regret later. It's a work in progress.

Rebellious:
Rules are for suckers. And, basically every one. But Tabby isn't a really big fan of them, and goes out of her way sometimes to break the rules, and it doesn't always matter which ones. However, most of the time it's in the misguided course of having fun or her personal freedom and not out of any malicious intent.

Novice Telepath:
Tabitha has been training her nascent psychic abilities with the psychics of the X-men. With a little focus she can pick up surface thoughts and emotions around her. Simple communication is possible with individuals or shared in a small group via established mind-link. She has learned the basics of low-level mind-reading and how to enter someone's psyche. Anyone with even a modicum of anti-telepath training and/or natural ability can ward off Tabby's attempts. Her training has also included psychic self-defense, and she can detect and defeat most low-level efforts to confuse or harass her. Her defensive idiom is less 'mind palace' and more 'mental trailer park', sending her thoughts scattering into dozens of directions before returning to circle and engage the intruder.

Plasmakinesis:
Tabitha's power is the psionic creation, ignition, and manipulation of mostly volatile Plasma. Her first and easiest manifestation is what she calls her Time Bombs. Spheroid concentrations of explosive force from the size of a marble and as powerful and loud as a firecracker to bombs the size of beachballs that can destroy heavy armored military vehicles. The bigger the bomb the less control over the length of the timer and she is in danger of being caught in her own blast radius and taking the brunt of the concussive recoil

As time has gone on she has further learned to better control this plasma. She can psionically create and move her charges without needing to throw or use hand gestures though she still does for theatrics and rule of cool. She can manipulate the shape and volume, controlling the plasma content and sound level so the bombs can be as quiet as a pop of bubble gum or a suppressed gunshot. She can even move plasma in streams of explosive and concussive force at the same levels as her timebombs but this is murder on her metabolism and energy levels to sustain at higher outputs.

She has also developed an immunity to at least the heat and energy involved in creating plasma. Able to withstand blasts from those with higher outputs such as Sunfire and the Human Torch though how much she can take is unknown, she still flinches.

She can reabsorb any unexploded energy she created. She is not immune to the concussive force of her blasts. This can be used to increase her mobility with tricks like rocket and grenade jumping or at least surviving lethal heights.

In addition, due to the nature of how plasma is created via the moving of ions and electrons and the heating and electrifying of them. She can create plasma via conduction through any suitable material like steel or copper.

Skills

Combat Skills:
She's learned unarmed combat skills from some of the best teachers the Xavier Institute can offer and beyond, though she's not the best herself yet. She's undisciplined and often breaks out of training to react more out of anger, fear, or frustration then doing what she was trained for. But she's adapted her powers to combat in a way that works for her, and probably would just confuse most reasonable people. Most of the time she's just pulling moves out of her backside.

Resourcefulness:
Never had much growing up, still don't have much in the personal things department. But that never stopped Tabby. She's a master of making it work with whatever is on hand, and that has taught her that sometimes you've got to think outside the box.

Street Smarts:
While she might be a bundle of chaos, and just as likely to get into trouble as she is to behave, she really does know when best to keep her mouth shut. She's had to fend for herself from an early age, and that has taught her when you just shut your mouth and go along with things to survive, it's also taught her how to read people and a situation to see just how far she can push a situation, who can she go to for help or who might have what she needs in a given situation.

Which then she was able to also parley into more practical skills that she and her close friends playfully dubbed Urban Survival Skills. This is a euphemism for being a thief. Sneaking, stealing, breaking and entering. Concealing things in clothes way too tight and clinging. She's no master thief but she doesn't have any real jail time either. and some people just deserve to have the rug yanked out from under them.

New Mutants:
When she finally made it to Xavier's she was of the age group to fit in with the second Generation of mutants that came to be part of the X-Men. She needed that group structure in her life, despite being a rule-breaker she really would do anything for them. Complain the entire time, maybe. But she'd do it, and relies on them to help her too.

X-Men:
She was practically a kid the first time she landed at the school, and she stuck around for a little while before running away again. It wasn't because she didn't like it, it was she liked it too much maybe. But even having run away from home a second time, it's still the home she returns to, and she knows she'll always be taken back. No matter how many times she messes up.

Weaknesses

Inexperienced Telepath:
Tabby has difficulty managing stray thoughts and emotions from large groups. The filtering of background noise is not quite reflexive for her and requires ongoing focus to accomplish. Tabitha aggressively suppresses her own psychic presence out of a deep fear of someone overhearing her thoughts inadvertently. With her ADHD, the constant noise and periodic intrusive thinking can be highly distracting if not unbearable at times.

It's Complicated:
Life wasn't easy for Tabby growing up, her dad was basically the worst. She's struck out on her own, and would call herself a loner and say she didn't need anyone. But the reality is that she really does need a family, friends, a group to belong to, and she's bad at being alone.

Mental Instability:
The flipside to her flirty, hotheaded, and almost random personality. Tabitha has undiagnosed cases of ADHD. Her difficulty to focus makes it hard for people to try and get information through to Tabitha if it's not presented in an engaging enough manner and also leaves her prone to frustration and often charging at a goal or plan with seeming nary a care. The hyper-focus side often leaves her single-minded and stuck on a subject longer than need be. Her diet of sugar, carbs, and caffeine does not help even if it's what her powers require.

PTSD set in hard after the Genoshan genocide. she tries to hide it but it's always there and having to deal with death is difficult for her. It's also a backfire on her usual solution to difficult situations. She could just run away, but when she left for Genosha and the massacre happened, she isn't sure when running is the safe idea or not. So with that hot headed side she'll often stand her ground when she shouldn't out of misplaced bravado.

Power Source:
For all that Boom-Boom's powers allow, they still all come from the same source. Tabitha's own metabolism. This is why she keeps a steady diet of sugar, carbs, and caffeine. The electricity needed to ignite, and ionize electron heavy gasses that constitute plasma comes from her own nervous system and much like anyone that power lifts, Tabitha has a very high caloric intake to keep her going. Higher and more intense use of her powers can leave her very drained to the point of becoming powerless and sometimes too tired to even move. As a result of her generous bioelectrical situation, she's also subject to draining via those capable of electrokinesis such as Surge or Electro. Due to her powers triggering the same time as her sex drives, the two have been linked and has she uses her powers it also messes with her hormonal state and urges to her increasing chagrin. Effort is made to control and detach the two but they remain tied and one more issue to add with Tabitha's personal problems.

White Trash:
Tabby literally had nothing growing up, except terrible parents and a lot of bad habits. She knows that her family was poor, close-minded, and trashy, and as hard as she tries to shed that image sometimes it never fully polishes off the surface. It's a chip on her shoulder that she'll use as a shield sometimes, and just as often use what she assumes is someone's judgment about her as a reason to be difficult.

Return to the Savage Land, Part I: the Aerie	March 16th, 2023	The X-Men return to the Savage Land, traveling to the Aerie Shalan, home of the bird-people. On the way, they discover a T-Rex feasting on a dead Triceratops (as one often does, in the Savage Land), save that both seem horribly infected... and display Brood-like features. The creature is destryed without mercy, and soon the team enters the spire. They arrive at a lab full of more alien technology, and discover the missing Doctor Tanya Anderssen in a suspension pod, also showing Brood-like features. As they investigate ways to free or help her, a hologram activates to taunt them in the form of the apparent 'false goddess' of the Aerians, before sealing the POWER-DAMPENED room as it fills with what is almost certainly some very, very bad mist!

Shi'ar: The War of Queens, Opening Salvos	February 26th, 2023	Zegaria IV is cut off from the Shi'ar hyperspace network, and a fleet scrambles to investigate - flying head first into a terrible trap. They find only a single ship, but are unable to destroy it as a powerful being turns the energy of their weapons against them. Worse, the sector Admiral placed in command uses the opportunity to defect and bring ships over to the usurper cause. Members of the Imperial Guard reserve act quickly to stop his plan, although the odds are all against them. Although they perish in the effort, Lord Samedar goes with them, and a rogue space cop manages to escape the scene to tell the tale.

Savage Land: Sauron, Pt 2: God in the Machine	February 1st, 2023	The battle continues! Sauron grows ever more powerful, as the machine core continues to stop the X-Men from using their full strength. Things get psycho-sexual as Tabitha and Emma conjure an army of illusionary angry girlfriends, Rahne feeds herself to a dinosaur, and Rogue powers-up via makeout. In the end, with Queen Leanne's amulet and some donated cosmic knowledge, Rogue deactivates the machine and Ororo shows Sauron what real power looks like. In the aftermath, Phangor gets elected king of the flying lizards, and the X-men depart with Leanne and the Aerians, with the dread Sauron... now as THEIR prisoner.

Savage Land: Sauron vs the Fellowship!	January 26th, 2023	The Fellowship fights its way into Mordor, aka the mountain domain of the Pterons. After meeting various dino hordes in battle, they discover Sauron in his lab, built around an ancient machine powered off the the heart of a sleeping volcano. The battle is bloody, as the machine seems to intervene at every turn. Eventually, they uncover its secret, that this isn't Sauron's work, but some ancient AI designed to help maintain the artificial biome of the Savage Land. But will this information help them as Sauron feats upon one mutant's life force and looks hungry for more?

Savage Land: The Plains of Zarhan	December 22nd, 2022	After making friends in the Forest People village, the group sets out, with warnings of the Gods who rule over the Savage Land. A river-ride becomes a tussle with a giant plesiosaur, and the first 'divine law' shows its face as powers seem dampened or misfire. Rahne gets chewed on and goes over but Berto gets her back, Rogue plays grab-tail, and Emma knocks herself out while Tabitha discovers the rocket-boat. After not quite flying it over a waterfall, the team descends onto the plain below, where Rahne ends an encounter with a beast-tribe hunting party via complex animal sexual politics. And getting chewed on some more. She does not join the cat harem. After this, its onward to the fantasy castle, where nothing will go wrong!

Into the Savage Land	December 16th, 2022	The X-Men travel to the Savage Land, landing at the outpost in Ka-Zar's protected valley, but find it attacked by 'bird people.' Rogue and Ororo visit the Lord of the Jungle's house and meet Zabu, his intelligent saber-tooth tiger, as well as a bird person captive, while the others fight off some dinosaurs and reach the village of the Fall People, a tribe of human hunter gatherers who live in the valley and may be able to offer information and aid. And Emma gets her Savage Land alternate outfit.
The McRib is Back	December 15th, 2022	The Xaviers School team is sent on the epic quest of 'Recover the McRib' before it goes extinct again! Which reminds me, have you ever heard the conspiracy theory that the McRib only ever comes back as a distraction from some sort of event happening at the same time? Like 'Oh, just give the fat plebbs their McRib again, that'll shut them up for awhile!'. But yeah, anyway, this was fun and everyone in it is a peach, a damn peach, I say!
Devil Went Down to Rio	December 9th, 2022	Mephisto is run off and Tabitha, Illyana, Kathryn and Sam help Berto analyze the Data and come to conclusions about who is sabotaging DI and what are the next steps. Even a path forward regarding the contract Mephisto has with Berto's Dad.
Bushwick Bound: Red Light, Green Light	December 4th, 2022	A young mutant is pursued through Bushwick by a group of mysterious figures intent on capturing her, but the quick intervention by a whole host of brave Mutant Town residents (and visitors) manage to track her down and save her at the very last possible moment!
The Prototype Sentinel	November 30th, 2022	Shaw calls Lex asking why the heck there's a Sentinel at a US Military base. When they go to investigate, Lex makes the decision to have it shut down and shipped to Shaw Industries --- when the thing turns on and attacc. Luckily, the X-Men and allies also came to investigate or else there might not have been any survivors, President Luthor included.
The Hunt for Sauron	November 30th, 2022	The X-Men visit Tierra del Fuego and a research station operated by Tanya Anderssen - the daughter of Karl Lykos' old mentor. Investigating, they find the place mostly empty: Tanya is missing, with some signs of a struggle in her room. The computers and communication equipment at the place have also been tampered with, presumably by whoever attacked her. And while Sauron seems a likely suspect, when he arrives with an army of dinosaurs, he seems to blame the X-Men instead. They fight him off, but not without a few bruises as Rahne risks herself saving a nearby civllian and Rogue attacks her teammates under hypnosis. Worse, the discovery of underground connections between the Savage Land and South America may allow Sauron to lead an invasion beyond the Antarctic... unless they can figure out who took Tanya Anderssen, and deliver them to him!
Xaviers: Thanksgiving	November 24th, 2022	It's another Xaivers School Thanksgiving preparation night! Kicking off the holiday seasonal fun times! There's lots of parents at this one, and interesting alternate Thanksgiving meal options discussed, including X-23's dutch oven, Sam Guthrie's deep fried turkey? And Hank suggests a fish! Shi'ar: Timor Animicida Est	October 21st, 2022	X-folk and friends investigate the Shi'ar assassin, but the answers they find are more disturbing than reassuring. The woman's memories are disjointed, one day a happy young officer, the next day a fanatic murderer. While mind-control is familiar to the X-Men, their telepathy reveals little. Instead, it is strange data in the transporter logs that suggests a more bizarre and terrible possibility, that she might have had her mind scrambled or rewritten by the machine itself, or been whisked to some other dimension, replaced, or reprogrammed. Worse than that: several of the X-Men have used the same transporters, and one of their supposed allies among the Shi'ar seems another possible victim.
Along Came A Wendigo: One Year Later	October 19th, 2022	Hanna is kidnapped a year to the day later and taken back to the scene of where her grandparents died...only to lose a mother. That awakens her horned friend that lets her exact revenge, but it is interrupted!

Shi'ar: SPACE CHASE	September 12th, 2022	The X-men's prototype space Blackbird pursues the assassin's shuttle as it flees the Atlantic Starport. Launching a single but potentially devastating antimatter torpedo as a distraction and calling on another of the mysterious Raptor armors to defend it, the shuttle barely makes it to close Earth orbit before its engines are disabled and crew telepathically bamboozled. Sam stops the torpedo in the nick of time, Michael has a clone fight and dies for a little while, and the big Shi'ar arrive to arrest everyone. Space is fun!

The Nightmare Barrier: Tabitha	August 22nd, 2021	Inside the M'kraan crystal, Tabitha falls victim to the same nightmares that face all her teammates. She's confronted by a false vision of her ancient cosmic benefactor, leads the X-men into a horrible slaughter by the Sentinels, but ultimately makes contact with Xi'an and pushes off the nightmare, choosing her friends over fear.
Shi'ar: The White Hot Room	August 20th, 2021	Having overcome the nightmare barrier, the X-men and their Green Lantern ally explore the tower in the center of the crystal's city, encountering the mysterious builder, before facing D'Ken and Davan Shakari. The battle seems to fracture the crystal around then (and perhaps all of reality with it), while the version of Jean they have found appears a corpse. Yet James makes contact with the Phoenix, who sweeps them into the center of its domain. It shows them a multitude of Phoenix hosts across time as they ask for their friend's return. The Phoenix agrees, although the process means they will be bonded again - and it demonstrates anger toward Lilandra for the Shi'ar's meddling. Soon after that, they are all ejected from the crystal, returned to the surface of M'Kraan for Illyana to transport home.

Once inside its impossible space, they feel as though they can almost reach the center of everything, only to be cast into a void filled with the greatest horrors of their own souls.

Shi'ar: Night of the Raptors I	August 2nd, 2021	Shi'ar troops, led by the elite Death Commandos, attack Xavier's mansion from multiple angles. A defense is raised in the back yard, and the school staff hold the day, if not without several injuries -- and the strange discovery of cloned soldiers tied to James Proudstar. As casualties mount and Jean tries to coordinate the response, a moment of sudden psychic fear reveals another danger -- and another possible target for the Shi'ar.

Xavier School Ski Weekend: The Hunger of the Night	January 17th, 2021	A group of Xaviers students and residents stumble upon a murder in the ski town, and track the perpetrator into the woods. The creature - a serial killer inhabited by the Wendigo-like Giwakwa - attacks them but is defeated, the evil spirit banished by Illyana's soulsword while the physical shell is blown to bits and smacked around by Talia and Rogue. Afterward, fearing the presence behind the possession nearby cave, Rogue moves to seal the entrance, and Jean (who arrives late to answer a text for help) aids her in sealing the rocks. Surely, its evil will never trouble the town again... or them!

After the kids have been put to bed and the teachers are playing (or snoozing), a bunch of them (+Simon) go on an epic raid of teacher booze stashes and go party in the woods. Noriko and Jubes re-arrive to only have to endure Simon's chronic foot-in-mouth intoxication syndrome about some fabled relationship between them that plays out in his head aloud, much to the mortification of the two roommates. The following teachers donated...stuff for this mission: Jean, Logan, Scott, and Emma. Thank you for all your donations! Rogue was, kiiinda spared.
